Nice Little camera for daylight, low-light conditions
This little camera works nice in daylight and low light conditions, but does not work very efficiently on dark areas. Also if you install it close to a glossy surface, like semi-gloss or gloss painted concrete, you will recieve IR bounce that looks like a halo at night. The monitor works nice and the sound is clear. Wonderful - I Love it!!
I bought this unit to monitor my barn. I have 17 mares to foal and want to keep a very close eye on them. My barn is over 300 feet away from my house and this unit works beautifully. The monitor works with up to four cameras. I now have 3 cameras hooked up to my unit and am considering buying the 4th camera. Its easy to install, easy to run. I have a crystal clear picture in one stall, and a not quite as good of pictures in the other two stalls which are a little further away. I love this product.

Wireless a good idea?...... maybe not.
This system is a piece of cake to install. Two people make it easier and faster. Make sure you have electrical outlets at both locations where the monitor and camera will go. Then, FIRST take the camera and set it in the area where you will later mount it. Then set up the monitor where you want it. Good picture? Congratulations! Poor picture? Try adjusting the antennas on each device to hopefully achieve good reception. (Poor reception will have rolling lines through it.) Still poor reception? This product works great
ok - here goes.We moved apartments,and our new apt has one of those exhausts which are under a microwave mounted over the stove.
So the odours when cooking on the front parts of the range enter the room!Yuck! (And this apt complex is a fancy one :( )
Plus - we cook a lot of Indian ,Italian food,and bake stuff.
So - its an odor fest - yuck!!I was not sure,reading some of these reviews,but I bought one ($20 - what did I have to lose)
and I have a elec. socket right next to the cooking range.

Wow! Odors clear up really well - the odors have been cut by 75% (and that's a lot when making sauces and curries)
then,after cooking (we set it to quick clean during cooking),and clean up is done,we keep it all night / all day,on whisper clean ,and the next day-all odors gone!
I loved it ,and bought 2 more for some more rooms of my apt
I guess the trick is to keep it close to the source of odors
it's compact,works wonderfully,and easy to clean/replace filters,and cheap!

Seems small, but it's really effective
We have two. One of them runs in the bathroom all the time, and works well to eliminate the musty odor. The other is in the kitchen and while it's running all the time, it's a bit more negligable because there's a lot of air circulation. Best to keep it in a smaller area, or very close to the souce of the odor. I still find that an open bowl of arm & hammer works the best...go figure. But you should see the dust they collect...convinces me that they're doing something good. I recomend.

It works!
I was somewhat skeptical since there doesn't seem to be much interest in this product and even a bad review, but for less than $20 it was worth taking a chance. We use ours in the bathroom and it works great. I am now ordering a couple of replacement filters since we have had our unit for over 6 months. For such a small fan, it moves a lot of air and does a fantastic job of removing (and not masking) odor. Highly recommended.

Amazing product for the price!
I have been using two of these units for over six months now and they are great. I use one at home with a pet odor filter to reduce the smell coming from my hamster cage and it does an amazing job. When it's running You couldn't tell there was a hamster in the room unless you put your nose up to the cage. The other one I use in an old musty dorm room and it has helped with the smell. The other nice thing is they take a lot of dust out of the air. I vacuum my filters about every month because they get so full of dust. Overall for a $20 product they do a great job and I highly recommend them.

Not effective...
I bought this item in hopes of curbing cooking odors in the kitchen. I positioned the odor eliminator withing 3 feet of the stove, well within the recommended 6 foot range, turned it on to the Quick Clean setting, and saw absolutly no reduction in the odor or the smoke that resulted from the frying pan. ... A good house or backyard Toy
I bought this with the hope of using it for wildlife observations while out in the field. I had previous experience with night vision and hoped for a clear view of the surrounding meadows, forests, etc. Not so with this one. I could not see any better than using my own eyes. It works when there is still some light or moonlight but, I can see fine on my own then. I returned it after one use.

It works ok in the house or your local backyard, as it will pick up the street lights etc and make everything bright. Forget it if you intend to use it in the wilderness.

The technology has definately improved in this area but for a good product it appears I will have to spend more money. I'll eat carrots for now. ... Read more
