4-0 out of 5 stars Very handy to give dynamic and professional presentations
I have used this product in about 10 presentations since I bought it. I couldn't be more satisfied.

The major difference between this remote and (most) others is that this is NOT a mouse, it is a keyboard emulation. The advantage is that you can actually go back (reverse your presentation), which is something that is very cumbersome with a mouse (right-click, then choose Previous menu option).

The most used buttons are obviously forward and reverse, but I certainly do appreciate the "Hide slide" button. The hide slide effectively blanks out the screen, which is good if you want your audience not to see your slide when they walk in the room, or for an intermission, or when you draw something on a board, etc. Unfortunately, I have experienced some minor problems with the Hide slide button in PowerPoint 2003. No problems in earlier versions.

The only downside I have experienced is some interference from computer speakers. If your computer speakers are positioned between the remote and your receiver in the USB port, you may have to click twice to actually get the signal through. (NOTE: no, this is not infrared and doesn't require line-of-sight; it is RF).

No infrared pointer on this model, but Interlink has another model that does have a pointer.

Overall, this is probably one of the most useful peripherals I have ever bought! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good thing it's metal
I purchased the RhinoSkin Aluminum Hard Case for my iPAQ 1945. The iPAQ fits nice and snug in the case leaving access to the voice recorder & IR port, headphone jack, microphone, SD card, sylus, as well as the port for recharging and synching. I also like the insert that holds an extra SD card inside the cover.

What I do not like about the case is the belt clip with screw-in post. With the repeated motion of sitting and standing throughout the day, the screw-in post has a tendency to loosen itself from the case. Three times since I purchased it in June the iPAQ has fallen off the clip. One fall sending the iPAQ in an armored ride down half a flight of stairs. Another fall causing the SD card residing in the slot to be lost (but that's a different review). No significant damage has occurred...yet.

For the most part it is a good design, but how much protection does a case provide if it is causing the falls that it is supposed to be protecting against. I recommend not using the clip, but if you do, make sure you habitually check the tightness of the post. I suppose you could permanently affix the post, but then you will not be able to lay the iPAQ flat unless you take it out of the case. Decisions, decisions...

2-0 out of 5 stars Attractive But Cumbersome
Nifty case but VERY difficult to use the PDA while it's in the case with the front open -- especially if you're left-handed and have normal- to large-sized fingers. There's simply no way to comfortably and securely get a grip on the case with one hand because the front doesn't fold back. I'd recommend Rhinoskin's leather case for IPAQ 1900 Series PDAs (00366).

3-0 out of 5 stars Good case, but beware the belt clip
Let me start off by saying that this case fit very well with my iPaq 1945. It leaves all the essential plugs accessable, however it does cover the soft reset button, although depending on how often you need to reset the pda, it may or may not get annoying to take out the pda everytime it needs to be done (And with a Windows based OS, it does happen).

Don't trust the belt clip, it fell off the first day I used it, even after I heard the snap that confirms that it is in securely. Ended up bending the case so that i have to unbend it everytime I want to open it. Now I have to ship it back, which of course means I lose the money for shipping. I'll probably invest in a different case since I don't see the point of a metal case if it gets ruined once it falls off.

5-0 out of 5 stars good case without adding too much thickness
the case is like adding a "shell" on my ipaq h1945
this is a very good product, and don't add too much thickness
but there may be problem for the users use right finger to tap, and carry under cold weather with bare hand (because the case is aluminum, which transfers heat/cold)
overall, this is a must for ipaq 1900 series users
note: belt clip with attaching screw included

5-0 out of 5 stars Great case
This case is sleek. It's strong and allows easy access to all the necessary areas when closed (stylus, record button, IR port, and cable connection). The door latches firmly but opens without too much effort. Of course, the case adds to the weight and thickness of the iPaq, but that's going to happen with any hardcase. It looks like Amazon is no longer selling this item, but it's worth tracking down if you have an iPaq 1940/1945. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars works great
This adapter works very well compared to the Sony bluetooth adapter I tried (and returned). The Ambicom has good compatability between brands, and the software enables you to link easily with different services. There is even an option in the software to set up an ActiveSync connection, and a proxy internet connection for your PPC. Now my ipaq and vaio can sync easily without wires, using ActiveSync. In the setup, getting the COMport numbers correct can be a bit tricky -- it's important to pay attention to the steps in installation, and to consult your PDA manual. Also, I find I need to connect to ActiveSync (on the ipaq) through the bluetooth manager, which is easy, no problem. Once it's set up, it connects perfectly every time. A relief, after struggling with the Sony adapter and software -- and the Ambicom is half the price -- so I give this one 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works as promised! Installation a snap!
Having read some of the reviews for other Bluetooth adapters out there, I was a bit reluctant to get a product from a relatively unknown maker. I'm glad I gave it a chance!

I installed it on my home XP Pro (SP1) system on a USB 1.1 (powered) hub! It installed in minutes, and a couple of clicks after that, I was synchronizing my iPAQ 2215 via a bluetooth connection.

This item comes with short USB extension cable. I won't use it since I think it's safer to have the adapter securely plugged into my hub, but I do understand why some people may find it helpful. The adapter itself is very compact, and it doesn't take up more than its share of space on my hub, thus allowing me to use all the plugs next to it.

There are two versions of the latest software for this model, depending on your unit's serial number... Make sure to select the correct one if you download the latest drivers.

There isn't anything special about the design or looks of this small adapter, but so far it's worked perfectly for me. I don't know the exact distances but I've been able to connect my PDA from anywhere in my apartment.

I hope you have a similar experience to mine! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars What is a MobiReader?
Sure, the dictionary has a lot of words, but the problem is finding them. The search screen is extremely jumpy when using the graffiti interface. I can rarely get more than a couple letters in the search box before the program jumps off to the wrong word.

Now my graffiti skills are pretty good; I don't have this kind of problem with other Palm programs. The dictionary's search program (MobiReader?) doesn't want to wait for t's to be crossed and i's to be dotted. So a search for 'tea' and you'll end up with the first word starting with 'L'. I've resorted to using the popup keyboard screen to enter words. Not what I've come to expect from Palm-based programs.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good Dictionary Bad Software
I bought this dictionary for use with a Palm T3. The dictionary is pretty good and reasonably comprehensive. However, it uses the MobiPocket 4.6 as the reader software. It never tells you that anywhere, I just happened to download this sofware earlier and recognized it. This reader is horrible for a dictionary. When you try to make the letter "t" or "i" using Grafitti it triggers the go back action. Also if you try to delete a letter it triggers the go back action. It also doesn't take advantage of the full screen. These shortcomings seem to all be addressed in the new 4.7 reader but it is not clear yet if I have to buy the new reader (which costs just about as much as this card) and if I do if I can even use the new reader with the card's databases. It was inexcusable to marry this dictionary to an inappropriate reader and furthermore to not disclose that anywhere. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for moving files around when travelling
I used this little guy last semester in Ecuador, and it was a lifesaver. Since I didn't have a computer, I had to write my papers in labs and internet cafes, and this USB drive was perfect for keeping my work with me at all times. Its small size allowed me to wear it on a necklace under my clothes to protect against theft.

A lot of other students used floppy disks, but the floppy disk drives in the internet cafes and even at the university would often ruin the disks forcing people to re-do their work.

Since returning to the states, I've used it mostly to share files between laptops and such while doing group work, carry install programs (web browser, AIM, etc), or to bring powerpoint presentations to class.

It comes with a keychain clip and a neckchain, three color covers (the USB plug swivels in and out of this cover) in blue, orange, and black, and a USB extension cable, presumably for connecting it to ports at the back of a desktop, that lights up bright blue when you plug it in (the USB drive itself also has an activity light unrelated to the ones in the cable).

Overall, a great product. Tiny, well styled, and easy to use. ... Read more

I don't normally write reviews but I had to write to express my satisfaction with this BT mouse. I have internal Bluetooth in my laptop (Dell) and this mouse works flawlessly with it. 5-0 out of 5 stars Woks Great!!!
I had slight confusion whether to choose the sony 64 MB memory stick, which is nearly the same price or this one, which has twice the memory capacity of the previous one. I choose this one for the better deal and to add to my surprise J&R Electronics shipped it so quickly(You guys Rock!!!). This one comes par with sony memory media in every field. So why choose the one with lesser memory capacity. Choose this one and feed your camera with some memory space!

5-0 out of 5 stars Ninguna diferencia.

4-0 out of 5 stars A+ for product, F for rebate
I've been using Lexar sticks for over a year with
a Sony digital camera. I've never had a problem with
a stick going bad, nor have I ever lost a single photo.

Although I crossed my t's and dotted my i's and sent
the rebate form in weeks before the 'must be received
by' date, the envelope was returned unopened, stamped
PROGRAM CLOSED. Not nice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it if the price is right
I mean the selling price...forget about the rebate from Lexar. I will get mine when pigs fly.

I haven't seen any compatible issue between Lexar/Sandisk and Sony brands. Now there is a new format called Memory Stick Pro that are compatible with the old format. Other than this, I can't figure out how it could be incompatible among brands.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works well--better than the rebate.
This 128 mb memory stick works quite well in my Clie and in my PQI MS reader. I have no comparison to make to other brands or such. While I cannot comment on their relative product quality (although objectively it seems flawless), I can comment on their rebates.

It took 2 weeks more than the 8 to recieve a "Check # ###### in the amount of $15.00 Mailed on..." and then a date that is several days in the future. This, combined with some not so good reviews from other rebaters makes rebating with Lexar potentially risky.

I wish I would have gotten the switched 256 (128*2, operated by switch) MS. You can never have too much memory. ... Read more
