Amazon.com Product Description

Flat televisions offer the dual benefits of wide viewing angles and clear, distortion-free images, and this Sharp 20-inch model delivers on both counts. The TV includes a contrast enhancer, which further defines the onscreen picture, along with a color temperature control option that adjusts the screen's white balance toward either blue (cool) or red (warm) depending on such variables as the light sources in the room. The features are packaged inside Sharp's X-Flat cabinet design that's engineered to complement a room's aesthetics, as well as the visuals of other components in a home theater and stereo system.

Viewers with a multilingual background can make use of the trilingual onscreen menu, which translates in English, Spanish, and French for the watcher's benefit. The TV also offers auto channel programming, closed captioning, a sleep timer, and an energy saver function that reduces power consumption. Parents will appreciate the V-chip and viewing timer, both of which help manage their children's viewing habits. The V-chip blocks mature or questionable programming based on its predetermined ratings, while the viewing timer invites parents to decide how much TV their kids should watch each day (in 30-minute intervals).

As with most modern TVs, the 20-F640 equips viewers with several flexible audio options. In addition to playing MTS stereo broadcasts through its 5-watt speaker system (2.5 watts x 2), the TV also includes a variable audio output for users who want to connect the TV to a separate stereo system. When users want to use the distinct stereo, they merely turn off the TV's speakers in the audio menu and the TV remote controls the volume of the stereo speakers. The TV also broadcasts secondary audio programming when available. Video sources such as DVD players or satellite dishes connect to the TV through the component video input, which ensures a superior quality picture. The model also includes front and rear AV inputs that hook up to video game consoles, VCRs, camcorders, and more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally Pleased
I bought this organizer on my first day of work, I was thinking of investing in a rather expensive PDA and then I saw this.

Pros:
-Looks cool -- like other PDA's
-Has all the functions that I need, calenders, memos, to do lists and reminders to meetings etc.
-And yes if you learn to use the organizer properly, you can indeed enter MORE than 1 entry to your lists per day (this is to refute some one's comments on this organizer before me.)
-I like the calculator feature.
-The stylus works really well.
- The 3 alarms are really cool, way better than my cell phone. One rings everyday at the same time, another rings when you want it to, and the third rings as a reminder for appointments.
-It is so much cheaper (and has all the features I wanted) than what I thought I wud end up spending on expensive PDA's esp since I wasn't looking for Wi-Fi or MP3s in them!
-You have the option of turning off the display of the synchronization program when you boot the PC. (someone else mentioned that this troubled him/her.)

Cons
- The 9 pin serial port sucks in this world of USBs and I am thinking of getting a Serial port to USB converter to make things work.

Overall, I definitely recommend this product to all those who could do with an organizer (without the Wi-Fis and all) but are not really happy with the price of PDAs in the market.

2-0 out of 5 stars Make sure you know your needs before buying
This product performs as expected for the money, I guess, but it has some limitations that don't fulfill my needs.

-The screen is hard to read in any light.

-Takes too many steps to input data.

-There is no way to input weekly/monthly repeating items on the calendar without putting them in one by one.

-I wanted to keep track of a shopping list but was limited to 96 characters in the memo feature.

-I have Outlook Express and presume that it will not be compatible.

-The cover flips open nicely but would prefer one that locks shut.

I was hoping to use this as a phone book/calendar/note pad that I take with me everywhere but will probably be back to my old wall calendar, post-it notes, and paper phone list in a month or so. I just bought this unit yesterday and am still learning about it so with time I may find other features to overcome my misgivings.
Wish I had done better research before I bought this and then I would have bought one that better suits my needs.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad For Starters
This palm pilots good for people who are just starting to use pda's. If you want somthing simple to put your schejule or phone numbers in, this is good for you. It could have more features though and it sorta hard to see what's on the screen. But otherwise its a good pda to start out with.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money!
Very unreliable! I had three of them. All died within a month from the date of purchase, so I had them replaced twice and finally lost my money. It is cheap, but steel does not worth it's price!

2-0 out of 5 stars Sharp's OZ-290 personal organizer
The Sharp OZ-290 has a sleek appearance and isn't too difficult to find and use all of it's functions even without the manual but the excitement ends there.

With a 2 X 2.5 inch screen containing 5 lines of user data and 5 lines reserved for data input and function selection, the user needs good eyes and a steady hand to make data input; especially the ten fixed symbol options at screen bottom. I suppose data input is going to be tedious on any personal organizer that doesn't have an extensive keypad.

The OZ-290 allows backlight adjustment and has a real button to illuminate the LCD. You can set the time allowed for this lighting from 10 to 30 seconds to conserve the life of the twin nitride batteries supplied with the unit. Contrast ranges from 1-8. I only found the highest setting to be useful and still struggled to see clearly at times in directional lighting from windows.

Things like the date format and memory testing / usage are also part of the Menu configuration as well as the PC/LINK and key tone on/off toggles.

Getting back to screen and symbol sizes, even with my magnifier enabling me to see the symbols adequately, I still poked the wrong onscreen selection frequently or failed to hit anything at all. Of particular difficulty was the bottom line with ten narrow selections. That's when the thought of a real paper pad rather than this virtual device might be a more logical solution to memory aid. The omission of the anemic (2) games option and the redundant enter button would give a wider and easier to see and useful area for the remaining functions.

The left 15% of the data screen is wasted in my opinion with a blank space and then a solid block to show the user that s/he is viewing entered data. This adds to word wrap that for some reason seems to put one or two characters on a line all bit itself making for a messy display. I think this is probably characteristic with these devices though. Still, I wish I had that 15% available for real data.

There is some provision to edit the field data names but for the most part you are obligated to at least pass over some n/a fields of data input. It is a little reminiscent of a US government 1040 tax form wasting the preparer's time with generic lines of questions which do not relate.

The software that comes on a CD and RS-232 9 pin serial port connector cable are both outdated accessories. The OZ-290/ZQ-290II Desktop Utilities software assumes the user has MS Outlook (not Outlook Express) and is all but useless without it. What you are left with is the ability to back up and restore the six individual data features, one-at-a-time! Owners may be left with the question of why not have the ability to backup / restore all of the stored data at once.

What's worse is after the PC software is installed and self-starts when you boot your PC's operating system, you are presented with the communication port selection query again. Something that should be remembered and tested without prompting. The really annoying thing though is the box that reminds me that Outlook could not be found -- each and every time.

At about $30 the OZ-290 isn't a big waste of money and some may even find it a reasonable investment but cheaper less known brands have similar features and interface with your PC. My advice is to either go real cheap or search for a better unit with up-to-date software and perhaps a USB connection. ... Read more

Asin: B0000899VM
Catlog: Photography

Amazon.com Product Description

With a free angle range of 225 degrees, you can easily swivel the Sharp VL-Z3U to shoot from a high angle, low angle, or even back at yourself without straining your wrist. The VL-Z3U is also a well-equipped digital camcorder that features a 10x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD display, black and white viewfinder, and a memory card slot for digital stills.

Image Stabilization
Sharp uses electric picture stabilization that keeps your images smooth and steady. Natural jerks and shaky holding will be smoothed over with this function turned on.

Optics
The 1/4-inch CCD has 680,000 pixels for sharp and clear imaging. The 10x optical zoom is effective for most purposes, but if you need extra close shots the camcorder can zoom up to 500x digitally. For low-light situations, the camcorder can operate in slow shutter mode for slow-moving or stable objects and night lumi mode for bright objects at night.

More Features
The VL-Z3U features a 2.5-inch color LCD and a black and white viewfinder. The LCD monitor incorporates new CG silicon technology to achieve high luminance and definition, making viewing easy even in broad daylight. The rechargeable battery snugly clips inside the frame of the camcorder, rather than outside like most other camcorders. This makes the camera less bulky and easier to carry.

The camcorder also has a memory slot that is compatible with Secure Digital or MultiMedia Cards, so you can take digital stills and import them onto a computer via the USB port. The standard IEEE1394 (Firewire) connection can be used for digital video editing, while the standard AV output terminal is used for viewing on TV or dubbing.

MiniDV Format
MiniDV is the new preferred format for personal and broadcast-quality video, highly regarded for its high audio and image quality. With up to 540 lines of horizontal resolution and minimum color noise, MiniDV delivers a 20 percent clearer picture than analog camcorder formats. This is all delivered on a cassette that's 1/12th the size of a standard VHS tape. A MiniDV tape offers digital recording time of 2 full hours--20 times the capacity of a CD.

Contents
This package includes the VL-Z3U camcorder, AC adapter, lithium-ion battery pack, A/V-S cable, lens cap, USB cable, and USB driver software. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good starter camera
I bought this camera for my girlfriend. I went by the advice of my friends and went right to a MiniDV camera because everything else was becoming obsolete. This looked to be a good deal at the bottom of the price range. What we got was a good deal, but is certainly not the best out there.

Basic functions are intuitive and the overall design is good. I love the way the body of the camera twists. I was able to easily film the Pirate show at TI in Vegas over the crowds! The LCD screen is bright and clear.

Now the bad stuff. The image stabilization is a joke, especially when zoomed in on anything. The picture seems better with it off. Also as mentioned before, low light picture quality is pretty grainy. I was expecting better, but I have to remind myself that this is a low end camera. Battery life is acceptable considering I use the LCD screen all the time. The still photo feature is handy but the picture quality is nothing compared to a regular digital still camera. Don't buy this camera just for this feature!

So overall, this camera pretty much does its job, and I can't complain too much considering the price. We didn't buy it to do professional quality filming. If I did, I'd be disappointed. But as a basic camera, it does its job fine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good camcorder, good value!
Just bought this and used it for a trip to Asia; fit perfectly inside a fanny pack. I chose this for its small size, the light weight, low price and the LCD screen. I didn't want anything fancy, but rather something easy to use since I'm not a techie. Video picture quality is very good, photo quality is OK but remember that this is a digital video camcorder and not a digital camera. However, I liked that it could take both video and stills - it made it easy to carry on vacation. LCD screen is terrific - very clear and bright. Controls are easy to use. The battery is inside the camera so it doesn't add extra bulk to the camera. Also, if it's hooked up to a tripod you don't have to take it off the tripod to change the battery or the tape. Bought the camcorder right here at Amazon - best price + $50 rebate, best service - got it delivered for free within 5 days and didn't have to pay any sales tax. Pros - small size, price, LCD screen, easy to use. Best feature for me is its small size and light weight; simply put, if it's easy to carry then I'm more likely to take videos. Cons - image stabilization, especially when zooming in, is almost non-existent. Also, it makes strange, cheap sounding noises when ejecting and re-installing the tape but that's just nitpicking. Overall, if you're looking for a good basic camcorder to shoot family videos it can't be beat. Good features at a good price = good value. Highly recommended!

3-0 out of 5 stars Tape Trouble
First time leaving a review, but thought it might help buyers...

I was interested in buying a MiniDV and saw a great deal listed on Amazon (...) for the VLZ3U. Unfortunately, only used it a couple of hours before the tape-loading mechanism started acting up and basically prevented the tape from loading even once it finally closed. After returning to Amazon, I bought another (...). The first time I tried to use it (pre-wedding family function), a brand new tape got stuck in it, and it wouldn't let me eject or use it. Needless to say, returned that one as well. Bad luck once, perhaps. Twice, probably not.

Generally, the camera was otherwise good. Low-light wasn't, but it's possible I still needed to master the settings. When I did set them for best results (i.e., backlight,...), some of the settings would reset when I turned it off/on again. A royal pain. The swivel design was an excellent feature that you'll appreciate in actual use -- e.g., shooting over a huddled crowd to see into the middle, or shooting something low to the ground. Very easy on the hand/arm.

Giving it 3 stars because of the problems, otherwise would be 4.

4-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT
This is the perfect little camcorder. It's light, easy to operate and reasonably priced. I was also pleased with the results from recording indoors. My only complaint is the picture gets really shaky while using the zoom function while recording.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for the price (<$300), Good Basic Beginner's
* This camcorder is one of the better buys for a cheap DV camcorder that'll give you solid performance and decent quality for the price. Don't expect it to blow away $800+ 3CCD high-end camcorders, but do expect about 350 lines of resolution under EIA 1956 test pattern tests.
* While video quality isn't the very best when viewed on a PC monitor (vs. high-end camcorders), watching the end results on most non-HDTV TV sets give you very good video quality and nice results.
* Menuing system and layout works well for me, and no manual needed. Overall, it's simple enough that my 3 year old niece took it from my hands and filmed her own birthday by herself. That easy to learn and use!
* A few manual controls such as manual iris, gain, white balance make this a nice beginner level videographer's camcorder as well -- ie. good for learning, students.
* Stabilization isn't as good as on the more expensive, so tripod or simply hold it steady on wide angle. You can get nice results with the latter.
* Still pictures only 640x480 and grainy, but decent just to get a still image idea of what's going on for reference. Bring a digital camera if you really want good stills. Otherwise, works well and no real problems.
* Build is nice for the price. Solid and nice feel in hands. Comes with everything except a blank tape and perhaps a bag if you want to carry it in something.
* Battery lasts 1 1/2 hours or so -- one battery, one tape. Just buy and carry one battery for every tape you expect to use - easy to remember. Charges in about 2 hrs.
* Can't find a single big reason to return it for the price -- just a nicely priced, beginner's DV camcorder that does quite a lot. A happy little toy!
* Sony DCR-HC40 is a big step up in build, image quality, stabilization, etc., but that's comparing a $600 to a sub-$300 camcorder now. Thus, 5 stars for the features & price. When compared to the very best camcorders costing $$$, it's only average but that's comparing the gold standard to something far cheaper. But if budget isn't a problem, the Sony is the better choice of the two.
* More accessories on Sharp Japan's website, but you'll have to find an importer for those items. Limited mostly to filters, extra battery, remote control (~$45), etc. Remote control is hardly ever used - unless you're the type to plug the camcorder up to the TV far away from you because you don't have long enough cables to plop the camcorder in your lap for control.
* DV transfer to XP PC works flawlessly and w/o problems.
* Nice manual - explains every feature in depth.
* Light and comfortably small! Almost like those smallest vertical camcorders. Can film for hours w/o weighing down the arms.
* A little bit of tape motor noise if the scene is quiet - not like the Sony, which is silent - but nothing noticed nor obnoxious when used in normal noise level scenes. Still, if you're filming something important, may get the Sony or an external mic & tape setup for the audio.
* Low-light performance is good. Grain level is decent and not glaring or bad although noticable, and you still can get a watchable image indoors at night. (again, not the best vs. $$$ camcorders, but decent for a consumer's level camcorder at this price)
* Overall, you can't go wrong with this low-priced, beginner's DV camcorder. Really nothing wrong with it, and if handled properly, it'll give years of solid use and fun w/o a problem. Don't expect the world from this camcorder, just a good average performance, and you'll be fine. (if you're picky, want the best/better, etc. get the Sony noted earlier, or any high-end 3CCD camcorder)
* Solid buy for beginner's, low-budget parents and kids, students gettting started, explorer's, teens, etc. ... Read more

88. Sharp LC-26GD6U 26" AQUOS HDTV-Ready LCD Flat Panel TV
list price: $2,999.99
(price subject to change: see help)
Asin: B0002QII6A
Catlog: CE
Manufacturer: Sharp
Sales Rank: 23319
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France | Japan

Amazon.com Product Description

Picture-frame thin yet still housing both standard NTSC and digital ATSC (HDTV) tuners, Sharp's 26-inch LC-26GD6U Advanced Super View LCD television is perfectly suited to deliver high-quality entertainment and in living rooms, kitchens, apartments, dorms, you name it. The set has all necessary input and output jacks for home theater and TV use, so there's no need for supplementary connection or receiver boxes; the 1,366 x 768-resolution television is ready to go right out of its box.

A member of Sharp's stylish AQUOS line, the LC-26GD6U offers a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio to match your favorite movies, and compatibility with high-definition video sources up to 1080i. The set includes 2 detachable, high-aperture aluminum speakers powered by 10 watts per channel which affix just below the screen to conserve space on either side. At just 4 inches deep without its detachable stand, the set is as unobtrusive as a big-screen TV can get, and it's versatile enough to handle wall or table placement.

A handy PC Card slot lets you record still images and video on a PC Card and view them on the TV, and Sharp's proprietary Quick Shoot video circuit ensures a lightning-quick response time of less than 16 ms for smooth-as-silk video and gaming graphics. The set's authorized CableCARD ability means the set will also receive digital cable television systems services directly from the cable operator without requiring a bulky, external cable box.

LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch "flyback" noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life (no risk of image burn-in), space savings, and light weight/easy positioning. They also tend to be cheaper and, to some eyes, slightly more natural looking than their plasma flat-panel counterparts, which usually "spec" higher (higher brightness, higher contrast ratio).

The LC-26GD6U's Advanced Super View/black TFT (thin-film-transistor) screen offers exceptionally wide (170- by 170-degree) viewing angles and an extraordinary contrast ratio of 800:1 for super-black blacks. Its high brightness (450 cd/m2) ensures wide dynamic range for vivid colors, great depth, and realism. You can place it anywhere--near windows, doors, or other light sources--and its picture will remain vivid. And, with its 60,000-hour lamp life, the backlight life is long enough to give you viewing pleasure for many years.

Connections consist of 2 high-definition component-video inputs, 1 DVI-I (Digital Visual Interface-Integrated) input, 1 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) input, 3 composite-video inputs, 1 S-video input, and 1 RF input (HDTV reception may require an antenna). An audio/video output (composite- and S-video with stereo analog audio) facilitates hookup with a surround receiver, DVR, VCR, or other destination.

DVI-I is a direct-digital DVI terminal capable of transmitting both analog and digital video data. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a lossless, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface to link any audio/video source (such as a set-top box, DVD player, or AV receiver) with your TV or monitor. HDMI supports standard-definition (SD), enhanced definition (ED), or high-definition (HD) video, plus multichannel digital audio--all using a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports up to 8-channel digital audio, with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.

1-0 out of 5 stars terrible product
does not print a fax report (manual makes a point of saying that!!) answering machine is a nightmare to operate remotely
volume control on the cordless phone is perpetually irritating

it is pretty, and that's the only nice thing i can say about it

3-0 out of 5 stars unhappy with cordless
Wow, what a great price, and so many features. However, everytime I use the cordless, I cringe. The sound is tinny...hurts my ear, no matter how I adjust the volume. I've had a lot of cordless phones over the years, and this one was the worst. The handset was just fine, however.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is indeed very, very SHARP!
First, I want to address "shadysprings"- I think you were sold a malfunctioning fax machine. Mine works great, in all aspects. I was able to set it up in 5 minutes and send a fax within 10 (you have to program in your information first). I do agree with the other people's suggestions that you read the manual carefully. It is LOADED with FEATURES like a 4 person mailbox. But overall, I am thrilled with my purchase. It faxes, copies, and takes phone messages, and takes up relatively little space. What more can you want?

4-0 out of 5 stars Great machine, but it gave me a headache
I tried this machine out, and liked everything about it except that it is a thermal printer, so it would be expensive to print very much. That accounts for the 4 star instead of 5 star rating. However, the reason it did not work out for me is that it gave me a headache everytime I plugged it in. Apparently I cannot tolerate the wireless signal. I have returned mine and will have to go with a corded system. Most people are probably not sensitive to that, judging by the number of cordless systems available nowadays.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Sharp Product Indeed
I purchased the Sharp UX-CC500 for use as a home telephone/digital answering machine and occasional use for fax/copier. I like the fact that this unit is expandable, and I intend to purchase another cordless handset to give me three phones throughout the house for easy accessibility. There are up to 4 voice mailboxes in addition to the general greeting, so everyone in the house can have their own voicemail.
A neat feature of this unit is the intercom function between the handsets and the base unit which allow you to talk to people in other rooms just by pressing the intercom key and selecting the other phone that you want to ring. You can also program a name to each phone that shows up in the display.
In addition to that, there is a walkie-talkie feature between the handsets which allows you to take the handsets anywhere away from the base unit and they will communicate within 1200 feet of each other.
This 5 in 1 has so many features it is very important to READ the instructions in order to understand how they all work, in fact read them twice. I am extremely please with all functions of Sharp UX-CC500 and feel that it is well worth the money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!!! BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!
I just bought this thing from Amazon and all I can say is WOW!!!!

This is probably the best purchase I have ever made. This thing is everything I ever expected and more!! It's easy to use as well - even my wife can operate it!

I have to say, everyone out there who is thinking of buying this, stop thinking. I bought it and I am extremely happy with it the moment I powered this thing on. YOU ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS PURCHASE! I GUARANTEE IT!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but limiting
The best thing about this is the design, but the arms connecting the screen and keyboard look odd when the unit is closed. The screen is fairly dim, and must be used in a dark/moderately lit room. The viewing angle of the screen is horrible; the only position you can see the whole screen without an inversion/blackout effect is at an angle where any overhead lighting glares all over the place. The CPU speed isn't particularly slow, but the graphics ([re]drawing the screen) goes on at an awful crawl - i.e. it's no good for graphical things. Now I must sound entirely bitter and biased against this machine, but I'm not, I carry it in my bag all the time and use it when I can. I even use it as an electronic book, its best use so far.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's a true love/hate relationship
Let me state first off that I love(d) this machine! It is light-weight, easy to use and interfaces superbly with your desktop or notebook.
That said, I feel that I need to warn you that in 1 year, I have had to return my machine 4 times for the same repair. It freezes, won't shut off, then after a hard reset, won't turn back on. Sharp has replaced the battery, the main chip and the inverter, now is going to charge me [alot] to fix the machine! I was considering buying a new one, until I talked to my Dad who also bought one at my recomendation and found out that his is doing the same thing. Obviously, I didn't get a rare lemon.
Take a chance if you must, but I am steering clear of this wonderful little computer until they fix some major problems!

5-0 out of 5 stars Convenient, compatible and cool!
I have had my Mobilon for a year now and I still love it. As a professional journalist and technical writer, this little PC has made me more productive and efficient. Rather than using a notepad and pen, I bring along my Mobilon and essentially take dictation from interviewees. With applications like Pocket Word, Excel and PowerPoint, it snycs beautifully and easily with my desktop for more technical applications and the 12 hour battery life is fabulous! It also syncs with Outlook so I have all my contacts and my schedule with me. The touch screen technology and built-in handwriting recognition software mean I don't have to find a surface for a mouse and I can take notes or draw figures with the stylus. The monitor resolution is very clear, though hard to read in bright sunshine, so don't take it poolside. Color and grahics are very good, though you are limited when it comes to your choice of fonts--not a critical item for me.

I have small hands, so I think the keyboard is big enough for me, though some people have commented that typing on it is awkward. I disagree.

Of course, you can download or buy lots of great software from Bubblet (TM) to finance and utilites, so the sky's the limit for how you decide to use this impressive little machine.

If you are looking for a laptop that doesn't weigh seven pounds but is powerful enough for Word documents, spreadsheets and more, the Sharp Mobilon is for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Do I love it or hate it ?
I bought my Tripad last year and at the time it was my sole computer for PIM, Internet word processing. Unfortunately a good concept in design is let down by so-so software and slow proceesing. 70Mhz was slow even for its time what with the Jornada 820 at 190Mhz. Most applications tend to hang if too many are opened simultaneously and Sharp's machine does not contain most of the goodies that are standard with the vadem clio. Lastly the machine weighs a ton and the only person who could use this machine on the fly would be jesse ventura or hulk hogan. On the other hand it has a tremendous wow factor, ipaq notwithstanding. both a pcmcia and a cf slot and although you cannot install the microdrive it has enough room for memory expansion. a StrongARM processor with 206 Mhz, 64 MB RAM, Windows CE 3.0 and lose a pound of weight and you can be the king of the world. as is it is only a mediocre performer. ... Amazon.com Review

If you're interested in saving money and living-room space, thiscombination TV/VCR may be the solution. The high-focus, dark-tint picture tube delivers a crisp and clear picture. The great picture is also partially due to Sharp's Super Picture technology, which automatically adjusts the video signal to minimize extraneous white noise.

As a result, you can spend moretime enjoying your favorite home videos and less time fiddling withcomplicated VCR on-screen menus. 1-0 out of 5 stars Slow and Clunky
This stereo has decent sound quality, but is a nightmare to try and operate. Maybe I just got a bad unit (I've returned it, anyway), yet even at those rare times when it did work properly, the loading and unloading process was veeerrrrryyyy long. I've worked with many different systems, and this was by far the most tedious. I suppose, for the money, it's about what one could expect. I'm not sold on Sharp, though. Save yourself from frequent boiling frustration and try another stereo.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Sound Quality
I purchased this for work, figuring that for the price if the sound quality wasn't great I'd still be happy. I've been pleasantly surprised to find that the quality of the sound is incredible....all types of music at all volumes. I've had issues in the past with systems that lose quality at low volumes, especially when listening to classical music. I have had no problem at all with this system. I plan to purchase another system for my home office. This is a great everyday unit. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little organizer!
After years & years of carrying a planner (I'm pretty much a completely obsessive-compulsive person when it comes to organization - at least that's what I've been told), I finally decided to break down and try an electronic organizer. It just seemed like it would be so much easier to grab and go instead of my big planner (which I love by the way.) I knew I couldn't afford a Palm or any similar PDA so I decided to do some research. Realistically, I figured I wouldn't need to do 1/2 of the stuff some of the more expensive PDA's were offering - I really just needed the basics - telephone/address, to do, memo, and a calendar - which was everything my paper planner had.

If you're this type of a person, this organizer is probably for you! Another review suggested checking out Radio Shack, and I'm glad I did. There happened to be 2 more left on clearance for $17.97 (I also got a basic leather case there on clearance for $9.99). It's only been 1 day, and I'm so glad I bought this model. What a great value for the price!

My only complaint is exactly what another reviewer said - you can only put the address on one line. Once you get used to that, it's pretty much a breeze to figure out. I've only looked at the manual (which is pretty comprehensive) briefly because a lot of the functions and buttons are pretty self-explanatory. All-in-all, I'm so happy with my purchase!

5-0 out of 5 stars FYI...
You can also purchase this organizer at RadioShack for $19.99.. and also save money by not paying shipping & handling

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!
This is so great. i got it for Christmas. It is educational because of it's english to spanish translator and calculator. It's fun because it has 2 games. It is easy to use. You can store all of your friend's and family's adresses, phone #s and e-mail adresses. and store peoples's web sites. You can also write memo's and to-do's. it is so cool because not only do you have a clock, but you have a world clock which shows times in New york, Paris, Rome ect. as long as you put in the correct time with the 3 letter abbreviation that is closest to where you live. Overall this product is AWESOME! i recommend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great PDA
I recently bought a Y0-P20 PDA. It is great! It has time, alarm, schedule, translator and many more modes. If you are looking for a decent, yet inexpensive handheld, this is it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Sharp could be Sharper
I purchased this microwave to replace a countertop model (emerson proffesional) stainless steel, I needed a spacesaving feature plus vent for stove and wanted stainless steel to match my other stainless steel appliances.
I purchased it from Amazon for $275. lowest price I could find and am currently waiting on a $30.rebate from sharp so for the price its not a bad deal.
It has no handle that makes it sleek looking and the control panel is hidden behind the door not used to having to set controls before closing door but it makes cleaning easier.
My countertop model was of higher quality stainless steel and i only paid $100. for it (on all sides) not just the front like this model
I installed this unit to vent vertically outside the damper is a bit flimsy but hopefully its been tested by sharp for reliability.
Exhaust fan unit detects heat from stove and automatically operates, unit is a bit noisy on either hi or low setting, wish it was quieter. The light has hi and low settings either is bright enough, more of a night light feature.
Overall it work fine and looks good. Not a high end unit but then again not a high end price.
It does have a nice feature that senses when your food is cooked, used it on potatoes which turned out great.
At first I was reluctant to purchase this larger appliance that would be shipped through UPS for fear it would arrive damaged but UPS did a fine job with handling.
Rated it 3 stars as unit being average and appearance bearing clean lines which boosted my rating. ... Read more

Conveniently designed for small or home offices, the Sharp UX-CL220 includes both a plain-paper fax machine and a cordless phone, complete with separate charger. The charger allows you to accommodate spacious offices or even place the parts in separate rooms and still receive complete functionality from both.

The fax machine uses a 14.4 Kpbs modem to transmit pages; that translates to approximately six seconds per letter-sized page. Its 24-page memory acts as a backup to the 50-sheet paper capacity; if you run out of paper when you're away from the office, you can forget about missing any important faxes. Thirty-station speed dial allows you to send your faxes to your regular clients at the touch of a button. You can even run off quick copies--up to 99 at a time from a single original.

The cordless phone operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency with a digital spread spectrum signal, supplying a clear, reliable connection with plenty of room to roam from the base. It's caller ID-ready, with subscription to local service. A digital answering system is built into the base, supplying 15 minutes of message time in a single mailbox.
