5-0 out of 5 stars Usage
This is a great USB flash drive. It works like a chrm and is quite faster than some other flash drives. Also no installation is required except for Windows 98 and 98SE. This is really good for storing just about everything. However this flash drive only lacks in tech support and size. However what I do like is it speed.(12MB/sec. = 720MB/min.)

1-0 out of 5 stars The worst Technical support
If you have problems with your flash drive ( like I did) don't count on any technical support. Lines are all automated and wait is always over 20 minutes for live support. Not to mention that it disconects you when it is done telling you this. PNY tech support is a joke.

1-0 out of 5 stars lousy tech support
PNY drive didn't work properly with either my Dell pc (Windows2000/plug&play) or Fujitsu laptop (Windows98/downloaded driver). PNY's tech support was especially unhelpful ("I don't know what to tell ya...must be your computer"). I then bought a Lexar flash drive, which continues to work perfectly on both pc and laptop.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm
Simply said, it works! I have a web design business and love that I can put websites, presentations, etc. on the drive and easily take them with me. In fact, I can even wear them around my neck (using the strap) LOL

My husband is the Media Director for our church and uses one of these drives almost daily. He prepares the imag presentations in his office then uses the drive to transport them to the sanctuary where he saves them to the pc that runs our imag screens. It is SO much better than having to write to a CD and has plenty of space for even large powerpoint presentations!

5-0 out of 5 stars Note regarding USB formatting choices (FAT16, FAT32, etc.)
Almost all USB keys come formatted as FAT16 because it is the most universal format, readable by all Windows versions. FAT32 would only be needed when addressing data on extremely high capacity devices, which the USB keys have not (yet) reached. Two versions of Windows (Windows 95 and Windows NT) cannot work with FAT32. (They don't support USB, either, so it's a moot point for USB keys.) The Mac may also have trouble with FAT32 partitions. Lastly, it is not possible to format a USB key (or any removable storage device, for that matter) as NTFS under Windows. (Maximum PC, April 2004)

If FAT32 or NTFS is a primary consideration, check with PNY before you purchase. Otherwise, stick with FAT16 for maximum portability. If you do choose to reformat, remember to copy any data from the USB key to a safe place before reformatting as you'll wipe all data from the device. USB keys are sturdy and convenient, but are still susceptible to errors and scrambling of the file structure (just like any other storage device) so back up your important files.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised
I got this card to work with a SmartMedia adapter for my Handspring PDA.

I haven't had any problems at all while using this item. The extra 64 megs of space is great. My only problem with it could be the slow speed of the card, but that could be due to the fact that it is attached to a PDA.

Rating: A definite buy

4-0 out of 5 stars This is a good and very afordable product
My friend got this product for his rio 500 so he could hold more music. We thought it would be a peice, because of the price, but it turned out to work quiet well. It just plugged in and puff he had a card that could hold as much as his unit for under 50 bucks. i would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a smart media card, and the price is great for a solid product. 1-0 out of 5 stars Failed Video Card
I used this card for approximately 5 months before it failed and melted. Yes, MELTED (the solder pads under the regulators gave out). After searching on the internet for a possible cause of this problem, something that has never occured in the dozens of computers I have built and owned, I found that the PNY Ti 4200 and Ti 4600 have a common memory problem and fail consistently. I have never heard of such a problem and have never had to cast a wary eye on mainstream video cards before this PNY. Do NOT purchase this product, go for something more reliable as their are many more equivalent cards out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Prodect I've Ever used
Buy this product. Well that's what I did and I've never had any problems with it. It is the best ever. I use windows XP and still no Fryage. I have a Hewlett Packard w/ 2.53 Ghz. 768 MB of RAM. 80 GB of HD space. So If you are looking into this product I suggest you do so.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT!
This card has a great price and great quality. It's awesome for people that love good graphics in gaming! Good for office use!

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Card for the Hardcore Gamer
This card is by far the best thing that my computer has ever had to privliage to have in its AGP slot. Faster game loading time, Superb graphics, ZERO skips and jerks. On the downside however, doesn't work with XP very well, it fried within 2 days of Windows XP being installed onto my system. The drivers are huge downloads for 56k users. Thoes are the only problems i've ever had with it for about 6 months. Back to the up side the new Nview console makes it easy to turn off dual monitor support for games using OpenGL
(OpenGL does not support dual monitor aspects on most games such as Tribes 2) If you get this card get the 64mb DDR as the 128MB DDR dropps way below the abilities of the 64mb DDR ram. AND KEEP YOUR RECIPT! It may fry on you and it can be hard as hell to get them to replace it even though it has a life time replacment warrenty. 1-0 out of 5 stars Not the displayed model
Please be aware that the model they are shipping is not the model they are displaying. They are shipping the PC133 only model while displaying the PC133/PC100 model. The model they show is reverse compatible with older systems, but the model they ship is not.

3-0 out of 5 stars not fully compatible
I got this thinking it'd be compatible with my pc, but the one I got was a one-sided chip and my pc uses two-sided chips so I ended up having only 64mb more ram. I returned it and got a Crucial stick instead.

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful upgrade
I've purchased PNY memory on three occasions (once for a laptop). It has worked flawlessly each time. It's a great way to improve performance on a computer if you know what you're doing.

Also, if you find yourself unable to install an OS onto a cleanly formatted hard drive, a good "last option" is to buy one of these guys and swap it out with your currently installed memory, with the assumption that your current memory is defective. I've run into this problem and this memory worked like a charm. Again, you have to be sure to purchase the correct type of memory and you have to know what you're doing. The Memory Finder on this site works great if you have a brand name PC.

I highly recommend this brand to any who need more RAM.

3-0 out of 5 stars Another review.
Having to read some of the reviews of this card, I have some comments to say. Like one reviewer said "it beats the Intel Extreme graphics" was just totally funny. Of course GeForce FX 5200 beats the Intel graphics. Intel graphics are integrated graphics chip which usually comes with cheap computers with no AGP slots. They will hardly play any games other than older based games like Starcraft, Counter Strike, and Dos games and few more. Just note that this card is definitly have if you have a Intel Extreme graphics 1 or 2. Also, one reviewer mentioned to get games that says "This is the way it ment to be played" or something closed to it but that is incorrect. Most ATI cards will beat Nvidia cards in frames per seconds. I like Nvidia cards too, just that ATI cards are just better. If you don't believe me or accept the truth, just read PCgamers magazines or read real online reviews of (not customers) real electronic webistes or something. Still, don't worry if you do have a Nvidia card. Doom 3 and Painkiller supports Nvidia cards. Though Splinter Cell runs better on ATI Radeons. I probably wrote too much not about the card but about other reviewer's review. It probably didn't help much about this card but at least now you know that ATI cards are better.

This card is good for decent games but not games like Battlefield Vietnam or Splinter Cell Pandorra Tomorrow. You should get Geforce TI 4200 or Radeon 9200 for little more price.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent graphics card for affordable price.
This graphics card is only so-so but don't get me wrong. I quite like this card but a bit dissapointed for its' performance. I got this card for only $70 dollars on eBAY and it is pretty good for its price. But the dissapointment came to me when I found that this card was running slower than my older card, GeForce 4 Ti 4800. GeForce FX 5200 card was newer so I thought it would have run better than my GeForce 4 Ti 4800 on games like Unreal Tournament 2003, Battlefield 1942, or Call of Duty but every game looked much better on GeForce 4 Ti 4800 than on GeForce FX 5200. So I was wondering if I got the wrong card. Then I went to the Nvidia website for technical help and I saw the descriptions of the cards and GeForce 4 Ti 4800 happen to be better than GeForce FX 5200. Heck, my Geforce 4 Ti 4800 was even faster than GeForce FX 5500! So I put the GeForce FX 5200 card on my brother's computer since his computer had no video card and I kept my computer unopened with my dated but better performing GeForce 4 Ti 4800. It is a pretty good card for its' price but I recommend you to pay $10 more to buy GeForce 4 Ti 4800 on Ebay. Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention this but it's also kind of noisy but those problems aside, this is a nice card to have.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good all-purpose video card
This is not a *hard-core* gamers card -- look elsewhere, pay more. I had this card for about a year, no hardware problems or conflicts. I'm using a dual boot system: Win2K and WinXP, works fine switching between the two OSes. For the price (under $100), I get decent performance for general purpose applications, including Photoshop 7, PowerPoint, etc.

It provides 2 VGA ports. This is good only if you want to hook up 2 monitors. I would have prefered a VGA, S-Video and DVI ports. (Note: the new model now comes with VGA & S-Video ports.)

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
This PNY card rocks! I have tried ATI graphics cards with little improvement. This card is the best. With its 128MB of DDR Memory and nVidia FX5200 chipset, it beats Intel Extreme Graphics. It may not be the most advanced card but if you are in need of a good graphics card at a low price BUY THIS ONE!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Graphics Card For Gamers...
GeForce FX 5200 AGP
For the price this is the best choice if you are a gamer and are going to spend about [$$$]. NVIDIA is the best choice over ATI. Did you know that NVIDIA is the maker of the graphics card installed on "NASA's Mars Rover"(c), and the graphics card of the of the XBOX. I have had other game cards and this one is simply the best. With this card you can see your video games cristal clear and at a right speed, just like it was meant to be. This card optimizes your games such as: Battlefield 1942 and Need For Speed: Hot pursuit 2. Look for video games that cary the "NVIDIA The way it's meant to be played" logo, such games that have this logo are "Splinter Cell". If you have an AGP slot in your computer you must purchase an AGP card. AGP cards are more faster than PCI cards. You just have to be sure your computer meets the minimum requirments for the best game play. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Well.
I had the same problem with the card dropping inside however it really isn't a major problem. The enclosure slot is a bit too large and the card can slide in above the tracks that hold the card in place. If it was an expensive unit, I'd be disappointed with this flaw but I bought it specifically because it was cheap. It works and I'm happy with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars I teach digital photography...
I teach digital photography and use this reader regularly. It's the only one I've used that consistantly works well with no problems in Windows XP.

This is the reader I ALWAYS recommend to mu students! It's simple, light and does not get in the way.

As to not reading the card every time (Previous reviewer's comment) I'd guess he had a bad memory card. I've used a dozen or more of these readers and have not had a single problem with any of them.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!
Several Major Problems
1.The smart media card tends to drop inside the device- there is nothing to hold it in place.
2. Tended to scratch the media card.

1-0 out of 5 stars lost all data
Mine lost all data as well. Over half way through a 2 week trip of a lifetime in Italy, my card failed and I lost all pictures. Sent card to a data recovery company that tried to repair the card to no avail. Will never buy PNY again.

1-0 out of 5 stars All Cards NOT Created equal...
I was always a believer that all media cards were created equal. Whether a San Disk, Lexar, PNY, or SimmpleTech card, it didn't matter, each worked as well as another. Well, I was wrong. After one use, just one single use, the PNY card stopped working! Just one use, I couldn't believe it!

In my line of work, I sometimes put my camera and media cards to the test. I use San Disk cards (which have never failed me), but one time I needed an extra card and had to settle for a PNY. That turned out to be a big mistake. Luckily I was able to return the card and get my money back.

1-0 out of 5 stars PNY 256 MB CF card dissatisfaction
I purchased a PNY 256 MB CF card in April of 2003, and it just stopped working, in December. I have tried to contact PNY for support, but their support people don't offer much help. They offer a lifetime warranty on their products, but tell me I have to return it at the place of purchase (I only have a 30 day return policy, and that has expired). Their support people have told me they do not offer picture recovery from bad CF cards, either. Lexar DOES. Guess whose CF cards I will be buying in the future...
In short, bad customer service and lousy support!

1-0 out of 5 stars Mine lost data as well
I purchased one of these from Amazon about a year ago. A few months back my computer and camera are unable to read it. Lost pictures, not happy. I treated the card well and it rarely left the camera. I have yet to see if they will honor their warranty but I still wouldn't suggest this brand since reliability with something like this is of the upmost importance. It is also an extra big deal that I have to return it since I have personal photos on there that I do not want some guy at PNY looking at and showing around work and even possibly spreading all over the web. Finally, I doubt I need to mention how much it sucks to lose files and data. Big thumbs down for PNY from me. Will not buy from again.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works for me. :)
I bought this PNY CompactFlash card 4 months ago for my Nikon Coolpix 3100 camera, and have used it all summer, taking about 600 pictures. I haven't had any corrupted pictures, or problems. The speed of the memory is the problem. When the flash is used, it can take up to 10 seconds to save the picture. That is frustrating. Is it the camera, or the CF card? I would look for a card with a higher x4, x8, x12, x40 rating. I don't even know what the x rating is for this card. When I bought my camera, this was the only card available at the time of purchase. If I had to do it all over, I would buy faster CompactFlash memory. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars PC133 or PC100....Doesn't matter, Here's why
Ok Ok..I've had to deal with this before as I am in the industry. Most of the time the incompatablity is due to the use of High Density memory chips by the factory. These chips work fine with many systems but especially older ones may not work at all or only see half of the total RAM. You need LOW Density chips (which is compatible with almost all SDRAM systems (Except some that take ECC-RAM only)

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT for IBOOK 700 regardless of PNY's own Memory config !
PNY while stating that PC133 is not compatible with PC100 suggests this
product as the only option for MAC Ibook 700, 128MB

Well, it is just wrong !
Don't buy until you are sure your machine works with it

5-0 out of 5 stars Fast, very stable memory.
I'm rating this product highly because it got a bad rap for being mislabeled. Really I'd give it 4-4 1/2 stars. However, Amazon.com used to have it up as pc-100 and people who bought it expecting pc-100, which it is not back-compatible to, were understandably peeved and rated it poorly. They were rating Amazon.com's listing essentially, not the product, which is quite good. If you are looking for pc-133, this is really very good memory. It is fast and stable. I almost never had a crash while using this memory, even when I overtasked it. I'd recommend it without reserve.

1-0 out of 5 stars do not order this
Do not order this memory unless you need pc133 memory. It is not backwards compatible to pc100. Even check out PNYs site it also states this. Returned item. Did not get full refund even though package was sealed and ad was incorrect.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very fast, Reliable CF Reader
This product is much too under-rated. I've used it many, many times with both my mac and my windows machine without a glitch. The data transfer rate is quite fast and reliable. The USB 2.0 interface makes transferring big amounts of files a breeze. It used to take my about 7 minutes for my camera to download 256Mb worth of pictures to my computer. With this reader, I do the same in about 40 seconds. For this price + some rebates you might find out there, you have a no-brainer here. Of course, the only caveat is that it only reads CompactFlash Cards, but if that's all you use, then it should not be a problem. Great Buy. ... Read more
