Amazon.com Product Description

Optics and Resolution
Featuring a 5-megapixel CCD sensor, the DMC-FX7 delivers a wide range of detail and color with images up to 2560 x 1920 pixels--enough information to make photo-quality prints up to 13 by 17 inches. Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 3x zoom lens, with 3 aspheric elements, combines comfortably small size with superb image rendering. By combining with a 4x digital zoom, users will have an equivalence of a 12x zoom lens in a very compact body, though users should note that digital zoom degrades picture quality.

Movie Mode
The DMC-FX7 lets you shoot QuickTime Motion JPEG video at resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels with sound. The amount of video you can capture is limited by space on the memory card; you'll fit more at low quality (10 frames-per-second) than at high quality (30 frames-per-second). The movies aren't camcorder quality, but they're fun and convenient, and they're perfect as e-mail attachments. You can also record audio comments, up to five seconds in length, for your still pictures.

More Features

  • Flip Animation: Allows you to create your own frame-by-frame animations.
  • Unlimited Consecutive Shooting: Allows consecutive shooting up to the capacity of the SD memory card.
  • 1.5-inch diagonal polycrystalline TFT LCD display (114k pixels)
  • Mega Burst Shooting Mode: Shoot up to seven images at three or two frames-per-second in standard resolution, or up to four images in fine resolution. This option is designed to provide you with the best selection of photos during action, such as a sporting event.

Storage and Transfer
Images and video are stored on Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. A 16 MB SD card is included. Files can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB connectivity, which means it can be connected to any USB-based Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

Printing
This camera supports the PictBridge standard. PictBridge is a technology that lets you transfer pictures from a digital camera to a compatible printer, without a PC or image-editing software. Because PictBridge is an industry standard, users can connect PictBridge-compatible devices made by many different manufacturers. Learn more about PictBridge.

Power and Size
The camera is powered by lithium-ion battery pack (included with charger). It measures 1.97 by 3.70 by 0.95 inches and weighs 0.30 pounds.

1-0 out of 5 stars No Headset Jack
I purchased this item through amazon partner circuitcity.

The extended techinical information about this phone is incorrect. There is no Headset jack. I wish I had gone to panasonic official site to confirm this. For me no headset jack means this phone is less then useless. I find it very strange that a phone of this price does not have headset jack. Needless to say I will be returning this phone soon as possible.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good stuff!
I charged the units the day I received it from Amazon, approximately two weeks ago.Have been using it without any problems continuously since then. I really like the idea of being able to send the "phone book" from one unit to the other in a matter of seconds. Can't find any disadvantages as yet. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

The SC-HT920 home theater system from Panasonic packages a high-end, all-in-one receiver and five-disc DVD player with six powerful surround-sound speakers. Connect your TV to the SC-HT920 and you have an instant home theater with power, versatility, and high-quality audio and video.

At the heart of the SC-HT920 is a sophisticated, flexible, easy-to-customize core component for both audio and home theater. The receiver's Dolby Digital and DTS decoders provide crisp, clear sound, and Dolby Pro Logic II Surround yields richness to movies and music. The SC-HT920 has three surround modes: movie, music, and panorama. These settings can be altered to fully customize your audio experience.

Give your sound further definition with the SC-HT920's sound enhancement modes. Panasonic's Sound Field Control features six preset modes for music that can add extra punch to all kinds of musical styles. The Super Surround mode simulates multichannel audio for discs not recorded in Dolby Digital or DTS sound. Panasonic's Center Focus mode enhances the dialogue in movies and TV programs by concentrating it into the center speaker. You can adjust individual speaker levels to create a perfect sound. After all the audio settings meet your approval, you can preserve them in memory to immediately recall them the next time you watch a movie.

The SC-HT920's DVD player produces a remarkably vivid picture and lifelike sound through progressive-scan technology, which yields high-resolution visuals with eye-popping colors and a minimum of onscreen distortion when used with a digital television set. The player also offers a wide variety of viewing tools and options, including variable speed search, slow motion, freeze frame, digital zoom, and a memory function that automatically returns you to the point on the DVD that you last viewed.

In addition to playing regular DVDs, the SC-HT920 plays DVD-RAM, CD, CD-R, MP3, WMA, and JPEG discs. An AM/FM tuner is built into the unit with 30 presets for your favorite stations. The receiver supports a wide array of audio and video components--CD players, tape decks, DVD recorders, VCRs, and more--and has a variety of audio and video inputs, including composite, component, S-video, and digital connections.

The all-inclusive SC-HT920 has a full set of six speakers to create a full, realistic multichannel surround-sound experience in your home theater: two front speakers and two surround speakers with adjustable height speaker stands, a center speaker, and a subwoofer. The primary speakers utilize Panasonic's unique tall, thin design and reach 44 inches tall when the speaker stand is full extended. The front-channel speakers put out 170 watts per channel, the surround speakers have an output of 70 watts per channel, and the subwoofer kicks out 260 watts per channel.

The universal remote control included with the receiver allows you to control the other components in your home theater, as well as all six speakers in the multichannel audio array.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Progressive Scan on Mine
System was all right in most respects, but when I connected to progressive scan inputs on our plasma tv, got erratic white line flashes in the screen while playing movies (tried several different DVD's). I do have another progressive scan DVD player and my TV is working just fine with it. Amazon.com is letting me return for credit less shipping charges for the return. Lesson learned here is be careful what box you check when making returns--I selected the "Product performance/quality is not up to my expectations" reason, so I get to pay for the return (84lbs via UPS ground--gotta be expensive). I'd recommend buying large items like this from a conventional brick and mortar store to facilitate returns. Or be sure and select the "Product is Defective" option if there is even the slightest problem with the system.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent For The Money
This Panasonic system was an upgrade from a cheap 300 dollar Sony system I had. This system is pretty good overall. The rear speakers sound great, as well as the tall boy speakers. They really do give you great loud theater sound, and the subwoofer really does it justice. It's pretty big for a home theater in a box system, and with your remote it's easy to adjust the volume for the subwoofer, along with four preset subwoofer levels to accomadate those using this in a small bedroom with neighbors, or for those of you using this in your home living room. The only real issue I might warn about this system is the center channel, which has some bad peak noises from time to time. It doesn't happen with most of your movies unless it's one that has been mixed wrong, but I notice with certain TV shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the vocal audio sometimes has a slight hiss at the top of some high or really low pitches. Some other systems you would still notice it with these DVD's, but not as much. Some systems you hear that noise more than others, and this one it seems to be a little more noticeable than some. But overall, this system has the ability to be very loud and envelope you in sound. For 500 dollars it's a great buy, although I do hear a lot of people prefer the Onkyo for the same price, but I don't prefer at this time to have a rear center channel. This is a great set for 500 dollars and if you're not willing to spend money for a system of $1000+, than this is a good setup.

Moving away from the sound quality, this has a reciever and 5 dvd disc changer all in one. Some people warn about heat caused by the reciever on your DVD's, but I've experienced no problem of over heating at all. Don't even worry about it. The DVD changer is high speed and you can change discs by remote within seconds.

All in all as I've said, you get your moneys worth with this. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Expensive but worth it ...
I picked up the DVD-LS90 so I could watch DVDs because of jury duty.I ended up watching numerous episodes of Family Guy and part of Thomas Crown Affair on the LCD panel.

Fast forwarding and reversing is a little tricky because the buttons on the unit itself doubles as chapter skip. You have to hold down the button to fast forward or reverse and then use the play button to stop (this is a bit annoying). Each single push is read as chapter skipping, even while fast forwarding or reversing.

I don't believe this particular unit is progressive scan.Amazon's website say progressive scan but Panasonic's website indicates no (and I tend to believe the Panasonic website since there's no indication on the box exterior or manual about the unit having progressive scan capability).

The ability to move the LCD panel and pivot (it doesn't simply open like a clamshell) gives it a big edge when using the food tray on a plane since the panel can swivel so it's on top of the unit (vs behind it like the typical clamshell). This allows the unit to rest more securely on the tray (vs sticking out partway like typical clamshell displays).

For some reason, I was expecting a sharper display since it's supposed to handle 500 lines of horizontal resolution (but perhaps I'm trying to compare a notebook LCD that does 1600x1280 on a 15" diagonal against a 9" wide-screen that only claims 500 lines).I can't offer a comparison with other portable DVD player displays (I didn't compare before picking it up -- it wasn't available to demo at any store in town -- too new). ... Amazon.com Product Description

Indulge your love of movies with Panasonic's flat-panel, big-screen, VIERA series TH-37PD25U/P. The 37-inch, 852 x 480-pixel gas-plasma TV offers a 16:9 widescreen dimension, a photo-viewing SD Card slot, and an HDMI input for direct-digital connection with EDTV-resolution (480p) sources. Its ATSC tuner pulls 480p signals right out of the airwaves, however, and its QAM tuner is fully compatible with unscrambled HDTV cable reception. A standard analog NTSC tuner receives standard-definition (SD) programming, and 2-tuner/split-screen picture-in-picture gives you unparalleled viewing convenience with scalable image sizes.

The set's authorized CableCARD ability means the set will also receive digital cable television systems services directly from the cable operator without requiring a bulky, external cable box.

With a plasma screen you get vivid colors like you've never seen before, extremely wide viewing angles (wider, even, than those of most LCD screens), and easy placement due to a plasma monitor's slim profile--the TH-37PD25U/P is a mere 5.5 inches deep, perfect for desk or wall mounting. Brightness tends to be extremely uniform across plasma screens, which are also impervious to the picture distortion and negative color balances that afflict CRT monitors when placed near lighting or sound systems.

The TH-37PD25U/P's contrast ratio is rated at an extraordinarily lifelike 4,000:1, and the TV is capable of producing over 1 billion colors. Picture-enhancing technologies include the Mach Band Effect Enhancer, a Gamma Enhancement System, and Panasonic's New Real Black Drive System.

The way human eyes perceive objects is influenced by the colors of the objects surrounding it; this is known as the mach band effect. The TH-37PD25U/P's mach band effect enhancer uses this principle to improve image sharpness and vividness. And Panasonic's New Real Black drive system further enhances image clarity and realism to help the display reach its stunning 4,000:1 contrast ratio.

The set's gamma enhancement system, meanwhile, imparts greater nuance to dark scenes and heightens image depth by increasing the number of gradation shades at low brightness levels (the unit is capable of rendering a total of 1,536 shades). The gamma enhancement system employs non-linear signal processing to reproduce images that help accommodate the high sensitivity of the human eye.

A handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format is 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal. Digital video mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown reversal digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.

The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) offers uncompressed digital data transmission between compatible devices, as between the TH-37PD25U/P and a DTV satellite receiver. Other connections include dual SD/ED component-video inputs, 3 each composite- and S-video inputs, and front-panel AV jacks for easy hookup with external devices, including an RGB PC input (15-pin mini D-Sub). A set of composite-video-based AV outputs simplifies hookup with an external AV receiver and speaker system.

The TV's internal stereo speakers are powered by 8 watts total per channel. BBE ViVA HD3D surround processing creates authentic-sounding 3D effects and exceptional sound-stage imaging, helping to ensure optimal clarity for centrally staged audio material such as dialogue. Artificial intelligence sound automatically adjusts the volume level on your TV to prevent wide variations in sound between different TV stations and types of programming.

Other features include V-Chip Program lockout, on/off sleep timers, a remote control, and closed-caption decoding.

5-0 out of 5 stars Panasonic PV-GS120 Camcorder
I payed for half of my camcorder which came to be about $450 with the extra batteries and wires you needed to get for the camera. I'm only 13 so $450 is a lot to spend for me but it was well worth it. I'll tell you what I wanted to know about a camera in a review before I bought one...
-the zoom is good, not as good as some of the other models in the store but it is also not as shaky.
-it has a zoom mic which allows you to shoot someone talking from far awa distances without them having to talk much louder then usual for the camera to pick up the sound.
-the pictures is what you pay for in a 3CCD camera. there is one chip for red, one for green, and one for blue. This makes the imagery OUTSTANDING.
-The camera is comfortable in my small hands and my dad's big hands... all you need to do is adjust the strap on it for it to fit our hand perfectly.
-i must be honest... the bad things about it is the battery life on the battery it comes with is only fourty five minutes but if you buy an extened battery it is 1 hour and 15 minutes and if you use both that adds up to about 2 hours of filming time.
-I also don't like that it doesn't come with a light but magic pix is sometimes helpful if you are shooting at a still object in the dark but it slows down the pixels so much that if you move it it could be very blurry, still, with a tripod it could be useful.
-i like the easy mini DV format. Some people are now saying that it's beyond in technology but realy... if you want to edit your tape then you have to get mini DV's... they're not hard to use and they are less expensive. You'll have to plan on shooting a perfect film with a DVD camcorder.
-the manuel tells you all of the things hiden inside of your camera like cinema mode, spotlight mode, sports mode, low-light mode so you can use he camera to it's full potential.
-overall i really was very happy with this camera and i am sure i am forgetting something but i hope my review was helpful to you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best camcorder under $800
Panasonic out did themselves by releasing two 3CCD camcorders below the $1000 price point (the other being the PV-GS200). No other consumer DV cam boasts 3CCDs, and the difference in image quality really shows. Getting a similar image quality from any other brand of DV cam requires spending at least $1500. The only reason I gave this camcorder 4 stars instead of 5 is because the battery life is far too short. Even with an extra battery, this camcorder beats out everything in the same price range from Canon, Sony, JVC, etc. ... Read more

Optics and Resolution
Featuring a 4-megapixel CCD sensor, the DMC-FZ15K delivers a wide range of detail and color with images up to 2304 x 1728 pixels--enough information to make photo-quality prints up to 11 by 15 inches. Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 12x zoom lens, with 3 aspheric elements, combines comfortably small size with superb image rendering. By combining with a 4x digital zoom, users will have an equivalence of a 48x zoom lens in a very compact body, though users should note that digital zoom degrades picture quality.

Movie Mode
The DMC-FZ15K lets you shoot QuickTime Motion JPEG video at resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels. The amount of video you can capture is limited by space on the memory card; you'll fit more at low quality (10 frames-per-second) than at high quality (30 frames-per-second). The movies aren't camcorder quality, but they're fun and convenient, and they're perfect as e-mail attachments.

More Features

  • Flip Animation: Allows you to create your own frame-by-frame animations.
  • Unlimited Consecutive Shooting: Allows consecutive shooting up to the capacity of the SD memory card.
  • Two-inch diagonal polycrystalline TFT LCD display (130k pixels)
  • Mega Burst Shooting Mode: Shoot up to seven images at four or two frames-per-second in standard resolution, or up to four images in fine resolution. This option is designed to provide you with the best selection of photos during action, such as a sporting event.

Storage and Transfer
Images and video are stored on Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. An 8 MB SD card is included. Files can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB connectivity, which means it can be connected to any USB-based Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

Printing
This camera supports thePictBridgestandard. PictBridge is a technology that lets you transfer pictures from a digital camera to a compatible printer, without a PC or image-editing software. Because PictBridge is an industry standard, users can connect PictBridge-compatible devices made by many different manufacturers. Learn more about PictBridge.

Amazon.com Product Description

Give your small business or home the productivity-enhancing features of a business telephone system without the high price tag. The KX-TG4000B four-line cordless telephone system accommodates up to eight handsets, while the all-digital voice mail system with auto attendant can be occupied by up to four users simultaneously. And dual caller ID with call waiting lets you see who's calling on either line.

The KX-TG4000B base unit and each cordless handset communicate in both directions using 2.4 GHz frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) transmission. FHSS technology improves calling range and clarity, and eliminates crosstalk. Because it rapidly changes transmission frequencies within the 2.4 GHz bandwidth, this cordless system helps reduce the possibility of eavesdropping.

The KX-TG4000B operates via cordless transmissions, so no expensive (and messy) wiring or installation is required. Simply hook up the base to your phone lines and plug it into an AC outlet. Then, set up the included KX-TGA400B handset in the desired location and plug in the recharging stand. Up to seven more optional KX-TGA400B handsets can be added to the system.

The convenient, reliable, all-digital voice mail includes many advanced features. The KX-TG4000B offers a general delivery mailbox on the base unit, plus up to eight personal mailboxes--one for each handset. Each user can record a personal greeting, and can access individual mailboxes from any system handset or an outside line. You can set the voice mail system to automatically answer all incoming calls with a recorded greeting, and to route callers to a desired extension or mailbox. The KX-TG4000B allows for four separate voice paths, so four system users can access voice mail at once.

This phone system also includes a digital duplex speakerphone with an eight-step volume control. Digital circuitry in the base unit helps reduce echo and the dropout effect for more natural-sounding conversations.

Dual caller ID with call waiting lets you view the name and number of all incoming callers on either the base unit or handset LCD--even if you're already on the line. This caller ID feature also stores up to 50 names on the base unit (up to 30 names on each handset), with direct callback capability. And thanks to caller ID pager call, you can even program the phone to notify your pager when you've received an incoming call, and to forward caller ID data to your pager's display. (Subscription to caller ID services is required.)

Other features includetwo-way intercom/paging, lighted handset keypad, headset jack in the handset, and a belt clip. The handset offers up to eight hours of talk time and up to 96 hours of standby battery life. ... Read more

Features

  • 2.4 GHz digital spread spectrum operation
  • Supports 4 lines; expands to 8 handsets
  • Caller ID/call waiting with 50-call history on base, 30 on handset
  • 100-minute voicemail system with auto attendant and 8 mailboxes
  • 2-way intercom/paging, lighted handset keypad, headset jack

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Small Business Phone System
This Panasonic system is GREAT! The features are abundant and very useful. I'm not having the same problems as other people, and the "problems" they describe seem to happen because they have not thoroughly read the manual. Let this be a warning that the phone is not necessarily the ideal solution for a home or very small office. This phone is somewhat complicated because of all the ways to configure it, but if you're willing to learn the mailbox system, line selection, and all the little extras that this phone touts, it will be a very useful tool. We happen to use it in a 1200 sq. ft. office with 6 people and multiple rooms, and it works quite well. The only problem we have is there is only 1 mailbox per phone. This is because the phones are bound to the mailbox. For example, if you have 4 people and only 2 phones, you only have 2 mailboxes plus the general delivery mailbox. This is my only real complaint with the phone - I wish it had as many mailboxes as we wanted.

4-0 out of 5 stars Peoples complaints are baseless.
This product works if you RTFM!!!!! Quit complaining about things that would cost you $2500 + if you had to buy a system from a phone installer. Again RTFM, it is not that hard.

1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE - DON'T PURCHASE
I purchased the Panasonic KX-TG4000B 4-line cordless phone. What I should have done was researched reviews. The phone sucks. You can barely get a reception. Even when you are standing next to the base the handheld constantly says "no link to base" and when it does attain a link to the base it is a noise with a scratch drum in the background that doesn't let you listen well. What a piece of crap for $500.00. Then what is even worst, Panasonic doesn't really care. When you call it takes about 18 minutes to get a customer service rep, and then they tell you that you either have to mail it in to the company or bring to an authorized repair center. And when I drove for an hour to bring it to the nearest repair center, they told me they DON'T REPAIR these units that they have to be sent to the factory. And Panasonic's customer service department really doesn't care what happens. They don't want to assist you. Now, I use this phone for business purposes and having no phone phone was a horrible hardship having to use my cell phone. DON'T PURCHSE THE UNIT. MANY OTHER CONSUMERS WHO HAVE PURCHASED IT HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING. ONE CONSUMER PURCHASED ABOUT 8 OF THEM BEFORE GETTING RID OF IT. THEY ALL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. AND WHAT IS WORSE, PANASONIC IS NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY EITHER.

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Build Quality - Otherwise a Good Solution
I have had this system for more than two years. Overall it is good (much better range and voice quality than a 2-line Siemens Giga set I have at home). It lacks some features, but compared to what is available in this price range it is a good package.

Beware that the number one on the handset's keypad seems to stop working not long after warranty expires. It has happened on all four of my handsets, and it is happening again on one of the refurbished replacements (only 90 days warranty) for which Panasonic charges about $80 (if you ship your broken one to them). Others here have noted the same problem. I like Panasonic phones, but this quality issue would stop me from buying this system again.

1-0 out of 5 stars Base is great - cordless phones are worthless, low quality
The cordless handsets work well for about 6 months - then battery issues (I think) turn the cordless handsets into crap - really - ununsable - static, garbled voice transmission, etc. Also, the number "1" button seems to fail within the first year on almost all handsets.

Also, the base unit has no mute button on speakerphone. All-in-all, I would never buy this system again - and unfortunately, I'm stuck with it now that I have about $1,000 invested all-in-all - it's hard to toss it. I actually only use the base unit for business calls, because the quality is just so bad on the cordless handsets. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Can't use just any DVD in this recorder.
I just purchased the Toshiba D-R4, it is my first foray into DVD recording.I like the Toshiba brand and I liked the price, I purchased Sony DVD-RW media with it so I could start recording, this is going to replace my VCR.Well first you have to format the RW media in the recorder, reminded of 1984 when we had to format 1.44 diskettes.Well once I got the box opened and read the manual they, Toshiba, recommend you use JVC DVD-RW 2X version 1.2.Well I had my Sony DVDs so I started formating, it was a no go three DVDs later every one of them failed could not format. The next day I called support and they recommended I try JVC or Memorex brand. So I had to run around to 4 stores before I found Memorex DVD-RW, I never saw JVC brand. The Memorex worked fine and I am recording now but why oh why don't they have a label on the box or include one of the DVD brands that work with the machine in the box, the store I bought the recorder at only carried Sony brand DVD-RW.So be aware if you want to use the machine after you buy it get JVC or Memorex brand DVD-RW discs, of course you can use DVD-R or DVD-RAM I have not tryed those yet. Also watch the + and - signs, the Toshiba only uses DVD- not DVD+.It seems to work fine, it is more complicated than a VCR, way more options.Hope this helps. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!
I've known what I wanted in a digital camera for several years:
1. Fast shutter release (my Canon S-200 takes 3+ sec., 5+ flash).
2. Small and light (for backpacking, travel).
3. Point and shoot zoom(5X plus with image stabilization).
4. 4+ megapixel, under $250.
5. No proprietary batteries, 2 AA preferred.

Up until now, nothing has come close. Then I read in Business Weekthat the LZ1 and LZ2 had become the best selling cameras in Japan within several months of their introduction. No independant reviews were available (even CNET) so I bought the LZ1 on the strength of it's technical spec's and my previous experiences with Panasonic products.

I took the LZ1 to the rodeo several days ago to test it under demanding conditions. I used the "sports" setting and burst mode(four exposures in about 1 1/2 seconds under those circumstances), all freehand. The results were stunning! No noticeable shutter lag, no blurry or out of focus pictures, all action frozen. Simply put: point, shoot, you got it!

Notes: Actual weight with 2 batteries is 8.2 ozs. The user interface is the best I've seen: full functioned and simple. Flash shots have shutter lag of approx. 1/2 second. I use Panasonic 2300 mah nmh rechargeable batteries purchased at Costco. Panasonic specs claim 370 pictures with those batteries, 30 seconds between shots, LCD on, flash every shot, full zoom in and out each shot. This camera has no optical view finder. I use Panasonic high speed 256mb SD memory cards- expensive, but after having a Viking card quit and swallow 200 pics on another camera, I don't pinch pennies on memory. I may try a Sandisc Ultra II SD card if Amazon gets some in stock. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice picture, very expensive to maintain
Have had PT-40LC12 for two years now and have experienced the same problems other reviewers have mentioned-- 2 lamps in 2 years at $330 each. Now the lamp ballast has gone bad and that will run another $1,000 for parts and labor.

Have heard lamps and lamp ballasts are an issue with all LCD and DLP rear projection, but can only cite my personal experience here.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nothing but problems
I first purchased this TV a few weeks ago. After a week or so, I noticed that on certain cable channels (analog, not digital) the audio was out of sync with the video. This was usually in the range of 0.1 - 0.5 second lead in the audio.Confused, I watched some movies and it did the same thing.Thinking it was a problem with the TV, I had the only person I knew with a truck drive 2 hours to my house to bring it back, we brought it back no problem, got the new TV, that person left, and the TV then wouldn't turn on.Extremely aggrevated, I called the place where I purcahsed it and they agreed to deliver a new one for no charge.I got the new one and it has the same audio out of sync problem as the original, except sometimes it seems worse. This happens on the both the HDMI, and component outputs of the DVD player (and yes I did try a different DVD player). So either the store gave me back the original, or panasonic needs to review their schematics.

1-0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY!!!!
Have a PT-45LC that is two years old.Have had to replace the lamp 5 times, at $300 a lamp, and now the ballast or something else is blown and the TV needs servicing. Nearly $2,000 just to run the TV for two years! We follow all the suggestions and are nuts about cleaning the filter, but the set just eats up bulbs. They last about 1,000 hours, not the 4,000-5,000 hours Panasonic claims, just long enough to be OFF of the 6 month warrantee. One lamp blew while under warrantee and it took 4 weeks for them to replace it.NICE!Unless you have money to burn, don't buy a Panasonic Projection TV.The company doesn't care about your satisfaction, and the product stinks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing TV - excellent picture, lightweight, compact!
I just bought this TV from Circuit City, and it is an excellent product! The picture quality is superb, the color rendition is true and life-like, the sound is very good, and it is all encased in a thin, compact 14" deep, 65-lb. box! This TV does a marvellous job with both SD and HD signals, unlike some other HD sets, which display SD signals worse than conventional TVs. Another plus - there is no burn-in to worry about, unlike plasmas and conventional projection TVs. The included universal remote control is easy to use, and the TV's menu is moderately easy to navigate. The TV was ready to go straight out of the box, and did not require a complicated setup. I would definitely recommend it, it is an excellent set for a very reasonable price!!! ... Read more
