5-0 out of 5 stars New Media Technology 64mb card used in Nikon Coolpix 950
This card works very well in the Coolpix. Fully functional, providing about 130 pictures in Normal 1600x1200 pixel mode. The card costs about $100 less than the equivalent Nikon memory card.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
I purchased this card for use with my Kodak DC290. It works great. It cost considerably less than the 64MB card from Kodak. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fine card, but packaging could be nicer.
I've tried this brand and the Lexar Media brand (which purportsto have 4x speed) and have found no appreciable difference inday-to-day usage. This seems like a fine card.

My only complaint about the New Media Tech cards is that the plastic card holder cases are physically much larger than they need to be and the way the card snaps into the case is a bit of a pain. If you carry and swap a couple of cards, this is a minor inconvenience. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Want to know how much a smart media card can hold?
Here is general guidline of about how many pictures a smart media card can hold. This list was made up using a 2.1 mega pixel camera at 1600x1200 resolution. (The Fuji Finepix 2300). So if you have a higher mega pixel camera the amount of pictures it can hold will decrease and you will be able to hold a few more pictures with a lower mega pixel model. But these numbers will give you a basic idea so you will know what capacity of smart media card is for you. (1600x1200 resolution) Example: Listed is the card capacity with the amount of photos it can hold in the camera's Fine (best mode), Normal, and Basic photo modes. (Fine,Normal,Basic)

8 MB (9,19,39) 16 MB (19,39,75) 32 MB (40,82,155) 64 MB (82,170,330) 128 MB (168,350,700)

*Most camera's normal mode takes pictures of good enough quality for most photos you will take, unless the camera is under 1.3 mega pixels.

*Many cameras come with a 8MB memory card. But that usually isn't enough memory for most people, here is what I would suggest purchasing:

My suggestions:

1-1.9 mega pixel camera - 8MB or 16 MB

2-2.9 mega pixel camera - 32 MB

3 mega pixels and up - 64 MB

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic ease of downloading images!
Having recently purchased the Olympus D340R digital camera which included this chip, I am pleased to say I was and still continue to be very much impressed with the ease of obtaing my images from the camera without the hassle of cables and long waits for the download to complete...combined with the Smart Disk Flash Path Floppy Drive adapter, obtaining images from the camera is as easy as dragging them from A:\ to C:\...the quality and capacity of this chip is remarkable for the price. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Thing
The company that makes this item went of business March, 2001. This makes the "5 year warranty" useless. I bought one in August 2001 and quit functioning February 2002. If I had known the company was out of business, I wouldn't have purchased it.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great little gadget
It is amazing how this product works so well every time with my HP Jornada 548. I use it every day to access the web and check my email fast and reliable at work or away from my desktop PC. Just plug it into the CF slot and you are ready to go because it's hot swapable. I didn't give it 5 starts because even when it has a small size the RJ-11 telephone jack make it a little bulky.

1-0 out of 5 stars Will not work with IPAQ
I bought this modem at CompUSA for ..., took it home and hurriedly unpackaged it and slipped it into the unwieldy IPAQ sleeve and was ready to go. Then I got an "unrecognized CF card" error. I tried again. No dice. I did a soft reboot. No luck. I took it back to the store and tried another one out of the box. No luck. I took my IPAQ back to the other retailer (BB) and tried another CF sleeve. Then another IPAQ unit. Still no go. I called Tech Support for both Compaq and the manufacturer. Compaq made me do a hard reset (in which I lost everything).

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple. Reliable. Speedy.
What else can I say? I plugged it into my Casio E-125, the Casio recognized it instantly, I setup a communications link with my ISP dial up, it connected and I browsed the Internet at very decent speeds. Imagine when I'm on vacation, stuck in a hotel with no Internet access.. and I need my e-mail......... ;-)

Great little device. ... Read more
