3-0 out of 5 stars Save your money!
I bought one of these because it was the first one I saw and I wanted a little more capacity than the one that came with my Olympus D360L. I thought the price was high but I only have to buy it once, right? Well now I find that there are other brands for half the price. Check around. A company called Smartdisk makes these and sells them to other companies. Can you say " cut out the middle man" boys and girls? The card works great and I have had zero problems.

2-0 out of 5 stars Some problems
I had some problems with this card. I use it in an Olympus digital camera. The first five or six images taken have an annoying yellow stripe down the right side. I can usually cut this out in photoshop but I have lost some important shots because of this defect present in the card I purchased.

5-0 out of 5 stars Double your D340R's capacity
I bought this card for use in an Olympus D340R camera. The card appears to be completely compatible with the Olympus format. The camera recognized the card immediately with no need to format it in the camera. With twice the capacity of the card that comes with the camera, you can take 36 exposures in SHQ mode, or 244 in standard mode.

5-0 out of 5 stars More MB, less $$
These Smart Medias are great! Same amount of storage for the digital camera for 1/2 the price in the local electronics store. Never had a problem with them yet... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars best
This memory goes fast but for an mp3 player its worth theprice. This is so much cheaper than the rio or any others and it worksbetter than them. I can't belive that it was this great. I love it and i suggest u buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product I own just bought the second one
This product is great. I use it with flashpath adapter to download jpg files from my Olympus c2500L camera. I bought the second one and never had any glitches it work flawlessly. Now I can take upto 60 pictures without having to download the files to my laptop.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is what to get with a SmartMedia device
Although "New Media Technology" SmartMedia cards cost less than name brand cards, they are functionally identical.

I have found that the most effective way to use a SmartMedia card, like this one, is with an external USB card reader. (I use a Feiya USB unit... it works seamlessly and costs less than the "New Media Technology" version because it doesn't read CompactFlash.) These readers are the absolute fastest method of transferring photos/files/MP3s or whatever.

But please note that 64MB SmartMedia cards will be widely available soon. Because the 64MB cards' cost-per-megabyte is currently lower than the 32's, the price of these 32MB cards might be forced down.

5-0 out of 5 stars 32 Meg Smart Media & Flashpath Adapter
The 32 meg Flashpath Floppy's work fine. Visit the flashpath manufacturer website and download latest driver. Works great! I have a Toshiba Flashpath adapter and updated the drivers.

Good Luck

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to install, quick to use
This little reader is an essential to digital photography. While all digital cameras have some kind of interface (usually serial) to your PC, it can be VERY slow to download photographs. It's much, much quicker to pop out the smart media chip, put it in the reader and take your photos from the smart media directly to your hard drive. It's fast. It's easy.

When I first got a digital camera, I had to spend hours in the evening downloading my photos to my laptop. Then I'd erase the smart media (the "film") for the next's day's shooting. Now with the USB reader, it takes seconds. I consider this a must-have if you have a digital camera.

3-0 out of 5 stars No XP driver
The unit worked very well with Win9X but when I changed to XP I found that the driver would not work and so far I haven't been able to locate one.

3-0 out of 5 stars DEVICE IS DEAD
An old film reader... bulky but works well otherwise. However, I had to reinstall it on Win2000 and the install failed. I have the old installation files and they failed too. I looked for a new driver and read that the company went out of business. Found a driver (which was the same set of files that I already had). Install may work for you, but as it is a really old device, and there are many better ones on the market, I suggest you use the latter.

4-0 out of 5 stars New Media Film Reader USB x Windows XP
I have a New Media Film Reader USB but it don't work on Windows
XP. I need a driver for it.

1-0 out of 5 stars I was unable to make it work.
I purchased the reader with the C2020 Olympus Camera to use with my Win2000 operating system. The instructions for installation were incorrect for Win2000, but I was able to download the drivers from their site. Even though the system eventually recognized the USB device, I was unable to read the pictures from the memory card containing pictures recorded by the OlympusC2020 camera. After spending about 3 hours trying everything (I am a software developer fairly experienced in Windows environment), including support (which was prompt), I gave up on this. ... Read more
