3-0 out of 5 stars Beware of defect
Purchased this monitor December 2001. I use monitor for gaming and normal computer use. Happy with picture quality - however - entire screen developed pink/purple color blur/distortion. The entire screen appears pink or purple and makes monitor almost unuseable. Returned monitor for refurbished replacement under the 3 year warranty beginning of 2002. Replacement monitor developed same problem after 2 months of use. Just made the call to have the monitor replaced again. I was advised by NEC that a large portion of Accusync 120 monitors are having this problem and that they are going to be sent to engineering to figure out the problem. While I am overall happy with NEC's customer support, I am not happy that I purchased a monitor with unexplained defect. Beware.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Monitor!
My Hitachi Superscan Pro 21 inch monitor became blurry after 4.5 years, so it was time for a replacement. After a lot of looking, I decided on this monitor mostly based on its features and the Amazon reviews. I am very glad choose this monitor.

Although the screen not perfectly flat, it is much flatter than my old Hitachi. One thing that impressed me is that other than vertical and horizontal adjustments, I needed absolutely no other geometry adjustments (rotate, trapezoid, pincushion, etc., needed no adjustments). Maybe this was because of the flat tube inside?

When I first booted up the computer, the image did appear washed out, but that was because this monitor is so bright. After lowering the brightness to almost the lowest setting images and text look very sharp. I use it at both 1280x1024 (85Hz) and 1600x1200 (75 Hz). I enjoy the flexibility of the different resolutions a CRT monitor offers compared to a LCD.

For the price, this 21 inch monitor offers great performance. I would buy it again!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the best!!!
I just had this giant 21" NEC monitor this week. The first time it opened, it impressed me very much, because despite its giant size, it is crystal clear and crisp. The clarity is similar to Sony 15" monitor, but its size dwarfed it. Size matters, especially in reading and studying. It motivates the student all the more, without the added strain, making the review a more pleasant multimedia experience. I tried the CD material for Oracle DBA and MCSE, and this 21" monitor's hugeness and clarity, increased my motivation to read more and strain less. This is a best buy. Of course, there are other 21" monitors, but again its price beats its contemporaries. My advice to educators and students, go for this monitor. It will be a big help in passing all those exams, and certifications...

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice display for the price...
I've only had this monitor for a few day, but so far it's great. I bought this monitor for a system I use for programming and 3D gaming. It has proven to be great for both of these tasks. The text is very sharp and the graphics are great as well.

There is a slight geometric imperfection in one corner, but I have seen very few monitors that have 100% perfect geometry in this price range.

I have a dual monitor setup on Windows XP Pro, and I replaced one of my 17" monitors with this monitor. I do have one problem now, this monitor is so much sharper than my remainingg 17" (Relisys) that I think I may have to purchase another one!

Bottom line: great monitor, good price, good warranty, buy it!

5-0 out of 5 stars It is the greatest!
I purchased my NEC AccuSync 120 on March 26th and I am very pleased with the picture quality. I do CAD, 3D renderings and play computer games and it has performed very well. The size is well worth the cost. My last monitor was a NEC and it is ten years old. I purchased this monitor because of price and quality. I would reccomend it to anyone. If I were to complain about anything it would be with the tracking capabilities of either Yahoo or UPS. For several days the Internet tracking said it was in Illinois for several days but in fact it was still moving toward me and showed up before I expected it. In any case I was very happy with Yahoo and UPS for thier sevice. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this monitor
I bought this monitor About a year ago as a replacemnt to a 15"
older monitor. I fell in love the second the perfectly flat screen came alive with beutiful bright colors, the image filled the entire screen. it works very nice with linux. after a while i got used to how nice this has made my daily viewing experience.
I just purchased a 19" viewsonic A90F, and I felt diapointed.
the screen does not feel flat, and I have geometry problems, the outer edge is black(not a full creen). Im sending it back and going back to NEC for a flat 19" (or other brand).

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of Show
I have owned all of 3 monitors in my life, an Everdata 14', a TVM 15' flat screen and finally the NEC FE700+, which won out over two Sonys, a 19 NEC and a 19' Samsung. What impressed me most about this monitor was the richness of color-while the other monitors around it seemed faded, the NEC was hands down the superior screen. When I got it home I had all but forgotten about the other monitors. It's also big enough that I could increase the resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768, and still be able to read text on the screen, something I had trouble doing on my TVM 15'.

This monitor is a dream. Setup time was les than a minute, and Windows detected it for what it was, and not a generic monitor. It is perfect for what I use it for-word processing, games, and a little graphics work in PhotoShop. It's superb color coupled with NEC's high quality construction and reputation make this display not only good value, but a good investment. Sure there are 'bigger' monitors, but how good are they? I have seen several people with the Samsung 950p and I believe the NEC FE700+ gives a superior image quality and is only 2' small in screen size. And hey, it's Macintosh compatible, which means you can do away with those silly and cheap looking clear plastic boxes. I highly recommend this monitor.

5-0 out of 5 stars NEC FE700
This is the best monitor that I have ever used. Images are very crisp and colorful. It also has a brighter display than others. I would recommend the FE700 to anyone who is looking for a new monitor.

5-0 out of 5 stars great monitor, excellent colors....very sharp res.
When i started looking around for a monitor, i did the usual bit...look through reviews....read magazine articles...search monitor related sites...the works. What i did notice however was the repeated mention of the high quality picture that the NEC fe700 offered. Having bought the monitor I found out for myself that it was indeed a great display....The colors are excellent and the res is very sharp.. I would definately recommend it to anyone looking around for a FST monitor for a great price ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Very Best CRT on the market
This is the very best CRT monitor you can buy. I watch full length movies and television on it daily and it's absolutely perfect...better than my regular tv! You can make so many adjustments I find it hard to believe that anyone could find fault with this product. I have a ATI 9800 Pro and everything is perfect...no defects whatsoever. No computer display, not even a LCD comes close to this monitor for viewing pleasure. One of the things I love are the Super Bright Modes...there are three levels of brightness making it better than a LCD. All the controls are a finger touch away at the bottom of the display and easy to use. If you don't like that you can download the NaviSet software which is great also. This monitor even has 4 USB connections on the side! The only other CRT that comes close to would be the 21" Sony Artisan and that costs $1795 with a smaller screen! The only downside to this CRT monitor is the size and weight but if you have the space you will be much happier with this monitor than with a flatpanel because in my opinion LCD and flatpanels have limitations relating to viewing angles, etc...which make them not perfected yet. This monitor may be large but it's also large in delivering a perfect picture and for the price (Amazon's price is the best) it's the best value on the market bar none.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This monitor was a huge disappointment. I believe there is either a manufacturing or design defect. To find out why, here's an exceprt from a letter that I sent to NEC-Mitsubishi.

Dear NEC-MITSUBISHI Engineering,

I'm writing you after I spoke with your customer support representatives over the phone, and they recommend me to write you about the issue which I'm going to describe here, because I believe it's a manufacturing defect in all DP2070SB-BK models manufactured in January and February 2004.

So far I have tested two brand new units. The first one I purchased from Amazon.com and it was manufactured in January 2004 (serial # 41101003YA). It had an incurable geometric distortion problem, and therefore I replaced it with another brand new unit from Amazon.com that was manufactured in February 2004 (serial # 42101534YA). The second unit suffers from exactly the same incurable geometric defect.

I have tested the units on different computers that have different video cards manufactured by different companies. The first computer has an NVIDIA Quadro 2 EX chipset and the second one has an NVIDIA GeForce Ultra FX 5700 chipset. I have moved the monitors to different locations, rotated them in all directions relative to the Earth's magnetic field, tried different power outlets, turned off all electrical equipment and lighting, tried different data cables with different thicknesses and qualities, in addition to the cables that come bundled with the units. All of these didn't eliminate the geometric defect.

Also note that I have tried two different DP2060u models on the same computers (the predecessors of the DP2070SB) and both of them don't have the geometric defect of the DP2070SB-BK.

I believe this eliminates the possibility that the defect is connected to my equipment or location.

Basically, both of the DP2070SB-BK units bend the center of horizontal lines downward in the upper half of the screen (the horizontal band around 2.5" to the top and 2.5" to the bottom of the upper aperture grill wire). Horizontal lines curve in the center downward in a flattened U-shape pattern, so if you have a horizontal line in the mentioned band area that extends from the far left to the far right of the screen, and hold a straight ruler against the screen that meets this line at the far left and the far right, you will clearly notice that the horizontal line curves downward in the center, and its distance from the bottom of the ruler at the center (actually about 0.5" to the right the center) is about 2.5 to 3.0 mm. You can also clearly see the curvature if you do the following.

1) Open a window and extend its right and left borders all the way to the left and right of the screen.

2) Open Notepad with a blank white document and maximize it, so that you can clearly see the upper aperture grill wire.

3) Bring the first window to the foreground, so that it's visible against Notepad's white background.

4) Align the top border of the window with the far left and far right of the upper aperture grill wire.

5) You will clearly see that the window border dips in the center about 2.5 to 3.0 mm below the wire.

This test obviously assumes that the aperture wire is perfectly straight, but as I mentioned above, you will also see the same defect if you placed a straight ruler against the screen.

Note that this curvature doesn't happen at the very top of the screen or its lower half. Only in the band around the upper aperture grill wire.

The defect is visible and very annoying to any discriminate graphics or CAD professional. In fact, I can't tolerate it at all!

I have tried every geometric adjustment using both the front buttons and NaviSet. I reset the geometry to the factory default at all applicable resolutions and refresh rates and used the "Auto" function on the recommended resolution and refresh rate (1600x1200@85Hz). Also note that the factory reset brings up an image that is rotated counter-clockwise on both units. This defect seems to be some kind of vertical pincushion pattern (push on the top), and the geometric controls can only adjust horizontal pincushion patterns (push on the sides).

The two units will be returned to you soon from Amazon.com, but I'm sure that all the DP2070SB-BK units manufactured during January and February 2004 (or may be before or after) have the same defect. ... Read more

A large 19-inch TFT LCD monitor, the LCD1970NX from NEC incorporates quality design and the best of today's technology to deliver a display well-suited to home office and professional graphics uses alike. With its 1,280 x 1,024 maximum resolution and 0.294 mm dot pitch, on-screen images are detailed and accurate, while a 500:1 contrast ratio and 230 cd/m2 of brightness combine with over 16-million display colors to provide rich graphics and crisp text.

XtraView technology provides wide 176-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, an excellent range of visual clarity that allows you to see the screen from nearly anywhere in the room. Both analog and digital DVI signals are supported, allowing connection with standard or advanced graphics cards, while a built-in USB hub provides the means to conveniently connect peripherals. With a 25 ms response time (rise and fall), you can rest assured that motion video is reproduced with reasonable smoothness, and a video mode enhances contrast to provide a more dynamic and rich viewing experience.

Monitor settings are easy to adjust with the easy-to-use on-screen display menu, which features an auto-adjust function that automatically optimizes your display. The stylish thin frame makes this a good choice for multiple monitor setups, while the height adjustable stand lets you adjust monitor position to best fit your needs. A 16.2-by-8.7-inch footprint takes up much less space than a comparable CRT monitor, and VESA wall-mount compatibility allows you to free up your desktop for other uses. Compatible with both PC and Mac operating platforms, the LCD1970NX comes backed by a three-year limited warranty.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Flat Panel for the price
I'm using two FE2111's in a dual monitor setup for one of my graphics rigs. For the price of one 20" LCD display you can buy two of the best CRT's on the market. And this is one of the best CRT's I've ever used and I've used a lot of them. It has rich colors, sharp images (right up there with some of my best LCD displays), three brightness settings (normal, picture, movie), and a relatively easy to use OSD for tweaking the color balance to 'just right.' Although it's listed as a 21" monitor on Amazon, it is technically a 22" with a 20" flat viewing area. It's text quality is awesome at the native 1600x1200 resolution (and at any resolution that keeps the 4:3 ratio for that matter). The previous review mentioned that there was a problem with stretching to the border on 1280x960. I don't know what his problem was but both my monitors can fill the screen (with stretch to spare) at any 4:3 resolution. He might have been running an unsupported refresh rate. This is an awesome monitor for any use and at ~550 it's a great deal.

4-0 out of 5 stars After exhaustive research ....
... I settled on the NEC Multisync FE2111SB for my monitor of choice. Why did I choose this particular monitor? I'm primarily a gamer and need the quick response times of a CRT over the up-and-coming LCD's. I own an NEC LCD1760V (on a second system) and its 16ms response time is excellent but it just does not have the same sheer color depth and "quicks" of a solid CRT (expecially projecting greys and deep blacks). Anyway, back to the review.

I had trouble finding what I thought were honest reviews of the monitor but ordered it via Amazon. It arrived some 8 days later and I eagerly sat it in place. I chose black to compliment my desktop setup. I am running a Radeon 9800XT to push the picture so consider that as I continue.

The first thing I noticed was how brilliant the bright the display was. Crisp, clear and a stunning image. Unfortunately, the flat panel glass (which covers the actual screen about 1/4" behind the mask had some specks of dirt upon it (small area just up and left of center). I dutifully attempted to wipe away the specks of dirt but to my horror realized the dirt was BEHIND the flat glass. I just paid for a new monitor, I expect the monitor to be essentially perfect. I was unimpressed.

The second (and final issue) came as I was tinkering with resolution setting. The standard rez I typically run my system on is 1280x960 which keeps things sharp, round and just the right size. A higher setting and things get out of ratio (circles become ovals) and text gets slightly blurry. So, as I began to adjust the image to fill the screen (tall and wide), the monitor could not stretch the image wide enough. At 100% wide, the image still had 1/4" to 1/2" black space on the left and right edge of the screen. Unacceptable. I tinkered with settings but nothing would correct this limitation.

Needless to say, with both issues being, well, an issue, I'm returning the monitor. I have not yet decided if I will repurchase the same monitor. So, the dirt was an aberation however, the resolution situation is a short-fall. Hope this helps, best of luck. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
When I go to the computer store to look at LCD monitors, they all seem to fall into one of two categories - those that look good and those that look great. This one is definitely one of the latter. I chose it mainly because of the acrylic covering that protects the screen. In our house, it is impossible to prevent small fingers from touching the screen. I was also waiting for a monitor that could display video and action games without too much ghosting. This NEC unit did not disappoint. Don't be put off by the location of the hard-to see control buttons (on the side of the bezel). A little fooling around orients you to NEC's scheme, and once it's set, you can forget it.

Criticisms:
1. The stand folds for travel, but is really, really stiff. You can't raise the unit more than a couple of inches off the desk.
2. No digital interface. Only of concern because I intend to keep this monitor for many years, and who knows for how long new video cards will continue to support analog? It doesn't matter for now - the picture is rock-solid.
3. The warranty is only for a year. I expect one-year warranties from second tier vendors, but not from NEC. This thing is built like a tank.
4. I am getting a bit tired of silver and black color schemes, especially on bezels. Sony used to make a glossy black unit with an acrylic screen. A real stunner.

Conclusion: For the price, you can't beat this value.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'll never use a CRT again after buying this LCD monitor
This was not my first choice in computer monitors. I originally bought a Viewsonic CRT monitor because I wanted true colors for my photography. LCD's have always scared me off, as people say they have unreliable color. After two defective CRT monitors, I thought it was time to embrace the new technology.

I did a side-by-side comparison of all the popular LCD monitors. Two brands really stand out: Sony and NEC. I chose this NEC because of bright backlighting, engineered specifically for photo editing. And, it really is bright. Unlike a CRT, it doesn't buzz, flicker, or wobble. It's rock steady. The colors are vibrant and make photographs look three dimensional.

True to the disadvantages of CRT's, viewing from angle makes the colors look a little warm. Viewing from an elevated angle makes part of the screen look a little darker. As the saying goes, "Just don't do that." If you tweak your colors and keep your monitor pointed straight-on, this beauty will out-perform any CRT I've used. The stand is fully adjustable and, unlike a CRT, you don't need a fork lift to adjust the viewing angle.

The stand was a bit stiff and it took me a little courage to snap it into place. Odd for a high performance monitor, this one is analog rather than digital. My video card can drive both. Again, I was not disappointed. Although there are the usual tweaks, size adjustments, offset adjustments, etc - there is button on the side which does all the tweaks for you. This is wonderful. What once took me fifteen minutes for each video mode now take a few seconds.. click / done. Wow.

The monitor is so compact and light, that I I did have one minor difficulty when I picked it up at the store. They couldn't find it! I guess they weren't expecting this compact 13lb box with its own carrying handle. I was impressed again. Not a dead pixel to be found, rock solid, bright BRIGHT colors, razor sharp images and text, and zero flicker at 60hz. I'll never go back to CRT's again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Is It High Quality CRT??!!
The colors are so realistic and bright that I can't help think that it's a CRT. The difference is that with these I can fit two in the same space it takes to have one CRT. Whether turned on or off it always looks like a beautiful picture frame. But when playing a movie or game is when it really shines. I dare you to compare side by side with more expensive LCDs and see for yourself. You will be amazed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Clearly the Best "Looking" LCD for the Money !
Let me first say that I researched 17" LCD monitors for over a month before settling on the NEC 1765. After reading dozens of reviews, online and off, I narrowed down my choices to the following: Samsung 173p, Sony SDM-HX73, and the NEC 1765. The Samsung 173p (note that there's a huge difference in picture quality between the 173p and 173s models) admittedly has a SLIGHTLY better (brigher) picture aided by its 700:1 contrast, but it also cost $200 dollars more. I'm happy to report that I was able to buy the NEC 1765 for $450 with a $50 rebate and a $50 sale at Circuit City. The Samsung also has a slower response time of 25 ms (versus 16ms for the NEC) which is not favorable for playing games or watching action movies (both things which my hubby enjoys using the computor for). Then there is the SONY SDM-HX73. It has a high contrast (500:1), a FAST response time of 16ms, as well as decent integretated speakers. Plus, a unigue design. But when I went to my local Fry's and saw the 3 monitors side by side, the images on the NEC LCD simply looked BETTER, BRIGHTER, and CRISPER. Also, the SLEEK and modern NEC made the SONY look bulky. And even though having integrated speakers save space, they pale in comparison to a good set of exterior speakers. Finally, the NEC is the only one that incorporates a HARD SCREEN protector which allows me not to stress out if someone touches the screen (like my 3 year old). The only criticism I have read about the NEC is the glare issure but I simply adjust the angle of the screen (it's only bad if the light source is directly behind it). Personally, the only complaint that I have is the 1 year warranty. I have to say though that having inspected it, it's built like a tank - there's nothing FLIMSY about it. Plus, it arrived with ZERO DEAD PIXELS. I replaced my 19" CRT monitor and as pleased as punch - I should have made the switch sooner. With my new LCD monitor, and my wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse, my "aging" computer got a MAJOR styling update!

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT!
This is so far my favorite LCD 17" monitor I have used/seen and being that I setup computer systems for doctor's offices for living I've seen a lot.
My parents got this model for their home computer and everytime I use it I just absolutely love it. It is SUCH a sharp and clear and high contrast image and it seems like the refresh time or whatever is really good too. I've played counter strike on it a LITTLE bit, but what I did experience was great. I know LCDs aren't supposed to be for gaming but I think that is changing and pretty soon LCDs will be very acceptable for gaming as this one already appears to be. Another feature of this monitor I really like is the hard plastic cover. A lot of people are used to being able to touch their CRT screen because it is hard glass, but as you might know touching an LCD can cause ripples and damage if touched too hard. The hard plastic cover is GREAT! It makes the monitor very easy to clean and protects the monitor AND it's hardly noticeable as far as image quality goes. It does not diminish image quality as far as I can tell. I LOVE THIS MONITOR! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great monitor
I tried a few monitors before I found this one. I actually bought and took back four other 19" monitors. The only other one that even could compare with the picture quality was the Sony that I tried. But that one gave me bad headaches for whatever reason. This FE950+ is a great monitor. The color looks great, and the text is VERY clear. The style of the monitor is very plane. I wish they would make them nicer to look at, but the actual picture is just beautiful! Mine came with a defect on the plastic casing. I actually bought mine at Circuit City online, and the one I bought was the last one. They are no longer carrying this model. So, I am settling for this one even though the case has the defect just because the picture quality is so good. I've only had this monitor about three days now, so hopefully it will last. I definitely rate this five stars!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars NEC , Nineteen is the King!
Because the prices for the monitors are down, I thought about replacing my 15" monitor with a better one. I 'surfed' around the 'Net, looked around the electronics store and found that NEC Multi-Sync FE950+ gives the best view performance. I specially liked the built-in glare screen that made 'staring' at the screen less stressful to the eyes. The only small drawback that I noticed was the loud 'hum' that the monitor makes when you turn it on but like all things, you get used to it. Sure there's a lot of cheap 19" monitors out there but do you really want to buy another monitor next year to replace the cheap one you just bought? For the first time buyers, NEC is one of the most reliable name in electronics. You can do no wrong in buying this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Monitor!
Let me start by saying NEC manufactures outstanding monitors! I'm the conputer, data entry, secretary person at our family owned & ran automotive garage (we do fleet service for companies such as Art Van Furniture up here in Michigan). The Offices are directly connected to the service (garage) area. The office area accumaltes lots of Greasy dust, as well as our computers. This greasy dust has killed 2 computer systems but we have 2 9-yr old NEC MultiSync XV17 shadow mask monitors that are still running strong. The monitor I replaced was an NEC MultiSync XV17+ shadow mask monitor that was 10 years old & with a failing picture tube still gave great graphics.

I had much apprehension about getting an aperture grille monitor because of all the hoopla about the 2 visible lines that run horizontially across the screen. In fact, I decided to go with the Pioneer 19" shadow mask space saver ...but after waiting weeks without it shipping I began looking again. I read various reviews that stated: if you play alot of games & do a lot of graphic intensive work on your PC then you want an aperture grille monitor. So I canceled the order for Pioneer monitor & Purchased this monitor instead.

This is an awesome monitor. The graphics are extremely crip & clear. The anti-glare screen makes looking at the monitor for hours easy on the eyes. The price is unbelievably low for the quality.

As for those 2 lines. They are visible, especially on really light backgrounds. But I had to stare long & hard to find both of them. They're extremely faint & about as thick as thin strand of light-gray hair. I use my computer to watch DVD's; to play games such as the Myst series & the Longest Journey; to run programs such as Bryce 3D & Poser; & to run Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Access). MS Word is the only program that I've noticed the 2 lines in, but once I get some text up on the screen the lines pretty much disappear into the background.

If you spend most of your time in Word Processing programs then you should buy a shadow mask monior. If you run a lot of graphic intensive programs then you'll love this monitor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Monitor
At first I wanted a flat-panel monitor, but I realized that I could get a very-high quality big screen monitor for less money, like this one. The NEC Multisync FE950+ flat screen 19" monitor truly delivers high quality for a low price. It's bright and beautiful, even going up to 1792 x 1344 maximum resolution at 68 Hz, with a 0.25 to 0.27mm variable dot pitch. Most people will keep their resolution at 1280 x 1024, which enables a completely flick-free refresh rate at 85 Hz. There have been some comments about the two very faint lines which run horizontally. I didn't notice them at all except against completely white backgrounds (which are rare except for Word and some web pages). These barely noticeable lines are negligible and make little difference in the overall great quality you get with this monitor. Also- the comment has already been made that ALL aperture grille monitors have these two lines, and if you want great color and picture quality you'll have to go for an aperture grill monitor. Another great thing about this NEC is the small footprint it leaves for such a large screen size- the height, width, and depth are all roughly 17 ½" (which is quite small). There are numerous controls to customize the screen (size, color, etc), more control than you'll ever really need probably (but it's sure nice to have as many options as possible). Like all 19" monitors it's really only 18" viewable, but I find this to be big enough whether I'm surfing the web or watching a DVD. I really was pleased with this monitor; it's not very expensive and not too bulky, yet still delivers very high quality performance. I highly recommend this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect...even with those lines.
DeityLord below me has noted the lines and he's right, but there's an explanation in the manual which says these lines are normal for an aperture grill monitor. Matter of fact, I never noticed these (and I had to look hard) until I read his rating and that's because they're only "highly" visible when you're working on a white screen. Therefore, if your primary need is word processing, they could be annoying.

Being as most of my use is internet and photo work, they're hardly there and from the moment I plugged it in, the 950 was perfect. It's a beautiful image, great colors, and I didn't have to do a single bit of tweaking as the factory settings were just the way I like them.

The price is certainly right here, and at just over three hundred bucks (shop around!) this will do me just fine until the next upgrade or a better and newer technology becomes affordable. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best monitor i have ever had
This is the best monitor i have ever had. My last one was a cheap proview monitor where you could see the masking and the one before that was a cheap little 15 inch monitor. I love this monitor except that when you change resolutions there is a clicking sound.
