1-0 out of 5 stars not compatible with xp
The box says that it is XP compatible, but apparently they didn't try to install it before making that claim. Take it back to Wal-Mart.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrendous install experience
I don't think this thing would install even with a hammer and chisel. No wonder there are so many "discounted return" boxes on the shelf. Save your sanity, your head, and the wall against which you will bang it. Move on.

1-0 out of 5 stars it is absulutely junk
could not install it even after install windows xp drivers , manual is useless , pointless to read ... they put this product when most poeple have xp in their pcs and still they did not mention anything about win xp in their manual....plus it's more expensive than any logitech webcams which you dont have problem in installing them buy a logitech better ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Great Size Keyboard but...
This keyboard is the exact size as my Mac G4's keyboard. I even like the keys because even though they are soft touch you can fell them depressing. I always hated when you felt like you had to really press on soft touch keyboards because they had no "feeling".

The mouse is fine too except that I had to put it back together out of the box. It snapped back together but that seems odd. I am not going to use the mouse so I wasn't too concerned.

The keyboard has 3 buttons to control the computer. ON/OFF, SLEEP, and WAKE UP but it might as well not have them. I wonder if they are even attached to the keyboard or are just there for looks. It didn't come with any software. When I looked for a driver online it said that Windows would detect the keyboard and install the right driver. Not really, I had to do it manually myself. The buttons still don't work. Probably never will. Oh well, only $14.00. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good hardware.
First thing: This keyboard is not "Palm only". I bought it to use wih my Ipaq 1945 and it works well. It's the Micro Innovations Wireless Link Keyboard (TKB680PK), and according to Pocketop (another company that sells the same keyboard) there is no difference between this keyboard and the TKB700U model. So, at this moment there are three entrances at amazon that sell the same product.

This little keyboard is an excelent hardware. It's big enough form me to type almost as quickly as on my desktop computer, (I've got used to it very quickly) and still it's very small when closed (not much bigger than a Palm M500). The idea of using smaller ridged keys on the first and third rows (the central key row uses full size keys) gives an excelent combination of size and functionality. My feeling when typing is of a laptop keyboard, although it's a bit smaller. I've read some reviews that criticize the fact that there is no tab key present. I was surprised when I noticed that there is one. The Esc key functions both as tab and Esc key. It does not bother me that there are no number keys, as I don't use them very much (you can type numbers pressing the "num key" and the correspondent letter). The punctuantion signs you would usually find at the number keys can be found with the letter keys, pressing them and at the same time the "Punct" key. It's very usefull that letters, numbers, functions and punctuation signs are impressed with different colors on the keys (white, red, blue and green), so you can quickly visualize them. It doesn't bother me also the "grooved" shape of the space bar. It's a very inteligent solution to allow the space bar to be higher than the other keys. One last quality I see on this keyboard: it uses common AAA battery (and it comes with a duracell alcaline one). All these reasons made me not regret buying this keyboard instead of the targus universal wireless one, which would be better if it wasn't so big and heavy (it's almost impossible to carry it in your pocket).

For iPAQ 1900/4100 users like me there's an incovenient: the stand does not have a mirror to use with the lateral infrared. I've read some reviews that suggest to use a screen rotation software so that you can point the pda infrared receiver to the keyboard. As I didn't want to do that, I made a litle aluminum mirror to use with the stand. I keep it inside the keyboard when it's closed and it works very well.

I've said this is a very excelent piece of hardware, with lots of original and practical solutions to keep at the same time a good functionality and small size. My congratulations to the engineers that designed it.

Unhappily I can't say the same thing about the drivers... I have not used the Palm drivers. I haven't even opened the cd that comes with the keyboard because there's no 1945 Pocket PC 2003 driver there. Micro Innovations does not have drivers available for iPAQ 1945. Pocketop does, but you have to pay $10 for it. As I don't think it's legal to sell drivers for a universal keyboard that claims it will be the last keyboard you will ever have to buy (because it's a universal keyboard), I've got the link to download the driver from a reviewer that thinks like me.

The driver works well and almost always you want to use it. Sometimes it hangs and you have to do a soft reset, which is not very good. The PPC drivers does not allow to modify character repeat delay or repeat rate. It does not have screen rotation capacity for those who want to use it. It does not permit the direct use of accented characters (the manual says you have to tap the screen and choose the character you want, which is absurd). This is real a problem for those like me that usually write in Spanish and Portuguese. Happily, you can configure macro commands, so I've configured "Cmd key + a" for á, "Cmd key + e" for é, and so on. After memorizing all the combinations I created it's a good solution. Of course I cannot use these key combination to insert text anymore...

I hope some day Micro Innovations will came up with a good (and free) driver for my 1945 iPAQ. Meanwhile I'm using the Pocketop driver, which looks like a beta test more than a finished one. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Hey its just a mouse....
Well its black and thats cool....its got a big IBM label on the front....it pionts, clicks, and does everything a mouse is suppose to do. It even has that cool blue scroller on the top...if all you wanna do is piont and click(isnt that what we do with a mouse anyway) and you want a cool looking black one(like me) then this one is for you!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars looks purdy - a half-... mouse
I was so excited to see this mouse - as my flat panel monitor, speakers, and keyboard are all black - all I needed was a black mouse. Despite the drivers coming on a 3.5" floppy with a home-job label on it called 'Mouse Suite' [scary!] - they didn't work for Windows 2000. So I search around ... site and finally found drivers that work, and I now have a fully-functional mouse.

I love the LOOK of this mouse, but it is not exactly the best one I have used.

2-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
To small to begin with. I am of average build but my hand seems huge on it. The position of everthing seems off. I play alot of first person shooters and I just hated it. The extras for the price are nice but I like quality above bells and wistles. So if want buget mouse and not gamer maybe, but only if you have small hands.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the Best
After much time looking for a mouse, i found this mouse my Micro Innovations to be the best at the price. Having three quick access buttons with a scroll wheel does not come cheap, but this products makes the exception. With the sleek shape, it allows your hand to rest softly, and also having the quick access right next to your thumbs. Scroll features allow you to scroll threw documents fater. This is a good buy. A must ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Product does not work with windows XP
The product is most likly good. But It when I try to install it to my computer, the class install manager denied my request to install it. This was very frustrating beacaues I have to return it. The Micro Innovations customer service was terrible, the people would lie over the phone just to get rid of you. The man said he would e-mail me the drivers I needed to install it to my computer with windows XP. But never sent them. Non of this is Amazons fault but I wish that they show weather its compatible with windows XP.

1-0 out of 5 stars DOES NOT WORK FOR WINDOWS XP
This Camera DOES NOT WORK FOR WINDOW'S XP. If anyone knows how to get it to work please add a review. I have tried 3+ hours to get it to work with no luck. Micro Innovations needs to take down the "XP Driver" they claim to work from their website. Don't buy this cam if you have XP!!

4-0 out of 5 stars with XP
I haven't had any issues with this running on XP. I've had it for a year now and use it once a week to catch up with friends internationally. It's been great for me. It runs off a hub in my setup.

1-0 out of 5 stars No Buy
I'm having lot of problems with this camera. Picture quality is poor. Software with this camera is not good for XP. There are drivers issues too.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works fine with XP
When you install the driver, it tells you that the driver doesn't have a signiture for XP. It's still a win 2000 driver, if you click OK, it installs and works without a problem. I agree that this is unacceptable... but it does not affect performance. It works fine.

I've had no problems with the functionality of this device.
Picture quality is OK for the price, it's all I need to see friends and family across the country. Be sure you have a lot of light... lower light produces images with a blue tint.

My wife bought this to communicate with family. If I had made the decision, I would probably have bought one that had in integrated microphone. Probably the logitec when it's on rebate... But I see no reason to replace the IC100C.
If you're looking for something cheap with no rebate hassle, this will do the job.. and for under $20. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good price.
If you need a mouse that you won't fret if you loose it or break it by dropping it in the floor, this is the one. I bought this mouse to use with my laptop when I don't feel like using the touchpad. It has a middle button that can be customized to perform different fuctions, such as page down, home, end, or F1 through F12 function keys. However, its shape is not as ergonomic as more expensive mice. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars bestest mouse evar!!!
wow this is quite possibly the best mouse for gaming !!!!! i have those sick mad skrills when i pwn up that cs!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars great value...
...for the money, especially in a time when an extra mouse is a must. It's easy to install, basically no time wasted to look for drivers. If you know how to plug it in, the computer recognizes it right away. So, if you want to be on the safe side and have a less sophisticated mouse as backup, this is the one to get.

3-0 out of 5 stars an Adaquate mouse
This mouse is smaller than most, which was my first impression when I took it out of the box. When you click, the two buttons don't go very far, but seem to make more noise than is necessary. A diskette of drivers comes for Win 9x, and is very good, with all sorts of different tweaks and improvements for the mouse. A good value, if you need a mouse on a budget. ... Read more
