2-0 out of 5 stars Good Ergonomics, but no Precision
I expected this mouse to be as/or more precise then the optical explorer mouse I had from Microsoft. Once the MS mouse stopped working correctly. I bought this mouse. I have to say it fits my hand perfectly, but has many bugs. It will for instance: not record slight movements in opposite directions correctly, will sometimes just stop working only to start working 5 seconds later.

It's so buggy and it's not even funny. Save yourself the money. I installed / reinstalled drives, checked-rechecked, read-reread manuals. It still works like crap. Please buy another mouse then this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super mouse for long-use
This is my third mouse in about 18 months. This one will stick around awhile, I think. My last 2 mouses werre Microsoft Wireless mouses - Wireless Optical Blue and Wireless Intellmouse Explorer. Both were certainly adaquete, but had issues: The Wireless Optical Mouse Blue was a small for my hand, and the mouse was jerky. The Wireless Intellimouse Explorer was a huge leap further. 2 Extra buttons, much larger, and much more ergonomic. The mouse was still a little jerky but significantly better.

Both Microsoft mouses had a common issue. I was frequently accidently clicking the right button. Some corded mouses gave me this issue too, but it was by far most pronounced on those wireless mouses. So that was a criteria for my next mouse - a better right button. I tried both an MX700 and this mouse (Cordless Click! Plus Optical) and the MX700 had the light touch right button. The CC+O, however, had a vert stiff right button. Not so stiff as to prevent intentional right clicks, but to prevent accidental ones. So if you're like me, and find yourself unintentionally right clicking a lot, consider this mouse.

Furthermore, the extra buttons are nice. The Back/Forward buttons, while not tremendously useful, are nice. The real surprise though, was the "Quick-Switch" button located south of the wheel. I assumed it would be useful in games (just having an extra button), but shockingly, it's extremely useful in Windows as well. Clicking it pops up a menu duplicating the taskbar listing the windows that are open. Only - the list is sorted such that it is _extremely_ easy to switch between two windows. The top entry will only change between the active window and the window you're alternating with. It's useful for multiple windows as well, but seems to have been designed for two amongst many.

Ergonomically, this mouse is nice (though a bit smaller than my old Intellimouse). There are curved ledges to rest your thumb and pinky on, and to hit the forward/back buttons, an upward twist of your thumb is all you need. I did find my pinky dragged alongside the mouse, but it was less than with any mouse except my Intellimouse.

The biggest downside to this mouse is the driver. Both MS mouses let me customize the buttons actions on a per-application basis. In iTunes, or Winamp, for instance, I could make forward/back correspond to next/prev song. Logitech forces this on a system-wide basis. The other thing is that in games, the extra buttons on the MS mouse, back/fwd just showed up as extra buttons 4 and 5. On this mouse, games don't even recognize they've been clicked. The workaround is to go into the mouse properties in the Control panel, and specify Back/Forward/Quick Switch to correspond to keystokes - but here, options on a per-application basis would be far better than having to switch the options going between apps and games.

Despite the negative, this is the best mouse I've ever owned. I would only suggest it if you have the right-click problem I do - otherwise, the MX700, though more costly, offer an extra 2 buttons and needs no batteries. ... Read more

Now there's a mouse that works so well, you're free to focus on what you're doing instead of on your mouse. The optical sensor has twice as much accuracy and speed as some optical sensors currently on the market. With 800 dpi resolution, this is a great mouse for gaming. You can save time by using the buttons for shortcuts, and with easy scrolling without scroll bars. Click the scroll wheel and the Logitech WebWheel feature puts browsing commands and Web sites at your fingertips. The mouse's shape nestles into your left or right hand. 3-0 out of 5 stars Optical beats roller, but not on all surfaces
I, like many people, was tired of stuck roller balls in the traditional mouse. First I bought the Microsoft intellimouse optical, but I really didn't like the feel in my hands. The optical part was great, but it was too big and the buttons felt cheesy. So, I thought I'd try a Logitech optical mouse and ordered this one. The feel in my hands is a lot better, but I had some tracking problems. After checking out the support on their web-site, I found that their optical mouse has tracking problems on some desk surfaces, particularly wood grain surfaces. Apparently, the optics get confused with some patterns. They suggested you use the optical mouse on a mouse pad or a sheet of white paper if you have this problem. I put it on a sheet of white paper and all is well now.

In summary, the optical mouse is well worth upgrading from the old roller ball. If you either don't have a wood grain surface or you're fine using it on a mouse pad or sheet of paper, then this is a great mouse (I like it much better than the Microsoft optical mouse). My logitech optical is working great now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beats Apple's optical mouse...MUCH cheaper, too.
As a former Windows user, I am used to a 2-button mouse and hated Apple's own optical mouse, which only has one button and feels wrong in my hand. Several months ago I bought Logitec's optical mouse and couldn't be happier with it. Unlike the skimpy cord on my Apple mouse, the Logitec mouse's cord reaches far enough for me to plug it into any USB outlet on my computer, not just the ones on my keyboard. Installation was swift, and I didn't even have to do any special programming for the extra button/scroll wheel: it was all set up the moment I finished installing the software. I haven't had any performance problems--as far as I can tell, it tracks at least as well as the Apple mouse. Importantly, the Logitec mouse is easier on the hand. While it isn't as ergonomic as some mice (it isn't molded to fit into the right hand, in other words), it's a good deal more comfortable to use for long periods than the Apple optical mouse. The buttons are confined to the top portion of the mouse and slant downwards--no more accidental clicking. At the same time, since they are much smaller than the hinging button integrated into the Apple mouse, they click much more rapidly. Finally, it costs less than half the price of Apple's mouse. While it doesn't match my G4 the way Apple's did, it is superior in every other regard.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best mouse I ever used
I'm reading a lot of reviews that mention skipping or lag, and I can't imagine what's wrong, except to guess perhaps they are using the mouse on an inappropriate surface, perhaps very shiny?

I've owned three of these, for my PC, for my Powerbook and for an ex's PC. I also happen to be lucky enough to have one at work and all 3 of mine plus the 4th have always performed perfectly. No need to install the software at all on a Mac, and mor than accurate enough. As a gamer and a graphic designer I've had no problems with speed or accuracy, the buttons are responsive and natural and the wheel works great.

It's not "ergonomic" but I've found it more comfortable than my old MS Optical which was, and more reliable too. I'll never use a different mouse if I can avoid it, unless Logictech somehow improves on this one.

2-0 out of 5 stars I KEEP RIGHT-CLICKING
The mouse works very well and would definitely be worth the money EXCEPT FOR ONE PROBLEM: the buttons on this mouse seem unusually sensitive or something, because I keep involuntarily hitting right when I don't want to. I don't recall ever having this problem with other mouses. It's possible that me accidentally hitting right click constantly is entirely the fault of my hand and not the mouse, but as I said, I've never had this problem with other mouses. Perhaps it'll take some more getting used to.

1-0 out of 5 stars worst mouse ever
The mouse jumps up and down on the screen like it is a live mouse. Never ever buy this model any more. Go for the similar microsoft product. I have been satisfied with that product until it was stolen. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best wheel I ever owned!!
This wheel is an unbelievable product and value, not just for the price but at any price. Thats the bottom line.

If you have Nascar Thunder '03 or any other racing game for the cube, you must get this wheel! I was skeptical at first because every console wheel I have ever owned was useless. This wheel does not just rumble it actually has force feedback, meaning the wheel pulls back to center and against you just as if you were in a real car. In Nascar Thinder '03, if you set the car up loose the wheel will be loose. If you change the wedge to tighten up the car during a pit stop, the wheel will tighten up as well. If you are in career mode and your chasis is in bad condition, the wheel center position will shift and will make it harder to steer properly.

It has all of the buttons on the wheel that the standard controller has minus the C-stick and analog stick (you dont need them). While the pedals are not necessary, I reccomend them because they provide a better overall experience. The wheel improved my performance on the track vs. a controller by 3 or 4 seconds on each lap.

The wheel is well constructed and surpassed all my expectations. Same for the pedals. Logitech has a great quality product that is OFFICIALLY licensed by Nintendo (the only wheel to be so) and works great. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Logitech's MouseMan Traveler makes a sleek and nimble companion, providing reliable optical mousing on the road or at your desk. It's light, easy to set up, and perfectly suited for use in either the right or left hand. The mouse is optimized for a USB connection, but a handy PS/2 adapter accommodates older computers, too.

Features
Besides being small and fast, the MouseMan Traveler simplifies Web browsing through Logitech's handy WebWheel. The WebWheel, like the mouse's left and right buttons, can serve any purpose you choose--you can easily assign functions such as click/select, auto scroll, double-click, etc. in the Mouse Properties window. When designated specifically as the default, however, the wheel not only scrolls up and down within a given browser window, but also performs standard browser functions like Reload, Back, and Stop, reducing your mousing time and, accordingly, your wrist strain.

Within your browser, simply press the wheel like a button to access the WebWheel menu, and all additional options appear in a small, circular field immediately beneath the cursor. You can even configure the menu to let you zip to your favorite sites without so much as having to move your cursor to your favorites list. WebWheel functionality requires Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, or XP for the PC and Mac OS 8.6 or later for Macintosh computers, as well as an Internet service provider (ISP) account.

Compatibility
If you're using a PC, make sure you have Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, or XP; an available USB or PS/2 port (Windows 98, 2000, Me, or XP is required for USB hookup); and a CD-ROM drive. Mac users need to be using Mac OS 8.6 or later, with both a USB port and a CD-ROM drive. --Michael Mikesell

Pros:

  • Small
  • Nice action
  • WebWheel function is convenient and customizable
  • Includes PS/2 adapter
Cons:
  • No user adjustments for scrolling (takes lots of turns to move down a page)
  • Uncomfortable to use for long periods of time

Features

  • Purple-colored, optical travel mouse
  • New optical sensor up to 800 DPI for speed and accuracy
  • Fits comfortably in either hand
  • Protective carrying case included

5-0 out of 5 stars You really dont want to be without this gem
I just purchased a Dell laptop, The touchpad was so sensitive it drove me nuts. So I looked at this model because it seemed to have all the right specs.
It took all of 5 minutes to install the software and have the mouse up & running. It is small enough to work on the right or left side of your laptop. It is optical W/USB & a PS2 adapter. It has a 3' extension. The mouse is small but very ergonomic with a 2 button scroll. Works with all Windows including XP OS & Macs.

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect laptop mouse
I really love the Traveler mouse. Yes, it's small, but I have very large hands and I've adapted to it quite easily. It tracks smoothly and the wheel has just the right amount of resistance. It even comes with a nice PVC travel case, perfect to slip into your laptop bag without scratching anything else up.

This is a great companion to a Powerbook, too, as it looks cool alongside! Now if Apple would just work on making the right button more useful in OSX...but I digress.

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect laptop companion
I love this little thing. A lot of travel mice are too small, or the wrong shape, or easily broken, but this mouse is just right. The buttons have just the right amount of give to them, the scroll wheel is firm but not too firm, and it tracks well whether I'm using it on a tabletop, on my pants leg, or even on my laptop's wrist rest. Plus, it comes with a sturdy carrying case, so I don't have to worry about it getting damaged in my laptop bag, and an extension cord, in case the three-foot cord on the mouse isn't long enough for whatever reason. It looks stylish, too!

3-0 out of 5 stars Hard to click
I bought this mouse for my averatec 3225. It looks very good but BEWARE... the keys are very hard. You really need to put some force to click. This was really disgusting in the beginning but I got used to it. I would give a 5 stars for look and 1 star for usage.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mouse Hunt
This MouseMan is a great little mouse for your laptop. It's attractive and small enough to use it below the keys. It also comes with a little bag so that storing it is easy and doesn't lead to knotted cables. The only problem that I've had with this mouse is the software it came with, hence the 4 stars. It doesn't allow for the full use of the mouse as I would like to use it (clicking down on the roll ball to take me backwards on websites). And downloading the software from the logitech site offers the same thing. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good keyboard...Great price
I purchased this keyboard for two systems I built (one for myself and one for someone else) six months ago. I love it, and neither of the keyboards have had any problems. It types easily and quietly and has a nice array of functions for an inexpensive keyboard. It took a little bit to get used to hitting the F-Lock key to access F1-F12, but it has never caused me any problems. I can count on one hand the number of times I've forgotten to hit the F-Lock key in the past six months. I use the function keys for their other functions 90% of the time, anyway. The media player controls (previous track, next track, play/pause, and stop), along with the My Computer/Documents/Pictures/Music keys are the most helpful. I like the fact the media key brings up a menu, since I use about 3 different media players on a regular basis. It only has a PS/2 connection, so if you're looking for USB, this isn't the keyboard for you. I prefer to not waste a USB port on a keyboard, when I have plenty of other things that require USB. Logitech makes quality products that last. I used to work retail, and the Logitech products didn't come back very often, compared to Microsoft mice and keyboards which came back frequently. I would definitely recommend this keyboard for its price, quality and functionality.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent keyboard.
I had some doubts about this keyboard when I bought it. Unlike all the other keyboards I've used, it's very low profile with hardly any upward slope towards the back, with very light keys.
But after using it seriously for only one day, I found that my touch typing speed and accuracy was significantly higher. It's gotten even better with time.
The slight arm and shoulder aches I've had with other keyboards have gone, plus I never accidentally bump the sloped front "Windows" keys like I always did with the others. Obviously Logitech know a lot about ergonomics (human/machine interaction).
The multimedia and second-function keys mostly do what they're supposed to, except that the e-mail functions don't want to work with my Eudora program. That's not important to me. I wanted comfortable accurate touch typing, and I've got it.
I seriously recommend this keyboard, especially to people who have to do a lot of writing like I do!

1-0 out of 5 stars You'll be sorry
I did not like this keyboard. For one thing if you want to use the function keys (F1-F12) you have to press a button on the keyboard every time you start your computer. Two, the keyboard sits relatively flat making all the keys the same height. It's especially bad on the bottom row where the Control, Windows key, Alt, and space bar keys are. Due to the design of the keyboard those keys actually appear to be higher than the row of keys above them. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to hit the SHIFT key and hit the Windows key instead. As far as the other features of the keyboard go I can't comment on them since I really only wanted a good basic keyboard. This wasn't it. I suggest to anyone thinking about purchasing a new keyboard to try it out first before buying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars great keyboard
nice keyboard. very silent except oddly for the right shift key and spacebar which makes as much noise as any other keyboard. I'm guessing probably because they are long keys.

5-0 out of 5 stars This thing is great!!!
I previously had a keyboad that came with my computer it was horrible none of the number keys would work. I would have to pound on it to get it to work. So i just broke that keyboard. I was in search of a new one so I looked around on amazon and found this keyboard i decided yo buy it because it was only 12 bucks so if i didnt like it wat the heck i would buy a 20 buck one. So i recently recieved the keyboard and i love it. It looks great it feels great the keys are very soft to the touch. Everything!!! is labeled i can do anything from my keyboard i can send my email i can reply i can open aol instan messenger i can change the song i can fastforward! I can turn up the volume turn it down i can mute it i can open my email i can open my music i can open my internet! I can even open my computer, my documents, my pictures, and my music. Also many of the keys r labeled such a y is redo u is underline. i is italic c is copy and etc.. This makes everything very fast and easy! I love this keyboard. also my previous keyboard wire was barely long enough this one is more than enough. Same with my logitch 3 button optical mouse that thing is great. Logitech makes great products. Oh and the thing about the start buttons like if ur doin something and u accidently hit that button all u have to do is take a screw driver and pull of that key than it wont happen anymore. But with this keyboard since the outer buttons are curved down like space and such you rarely accidentally hit those buttons annymore. It also has a button that locks all the f keys which is quite useful. I love this keyboard and i HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Oh and one more thing when ever you press one of the like f buttons or email or media buttons it brings it up in green on you screen what you just pressed and its GREAT!!!!! I highly recommend buying this product!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Okay just for FUN ^_^
At first I was having a hard time installing the software that Logitech provided. Turns out that the cd is out-of-date (my OS is Windows XP Prof.). So if you're having troubles with the webcam actually showing up on the monitor (mine was pitched black >_<) I recommend downloading their latest software from their site! ^_~

You need good lighting! Taking webcam pictures while the sun is up is highly recommended. Make sure your blinds/drapes are open in your computer room. Pictures taken when it's dark outside and using your ceiling's light may not look great compared to the ones taken in the day (at least from my experience). It looks more 'pixelly' during the night compared to the day.

I find taking pictures on a somewhat cloudy day is the best results! If it's too sunny the face looks too contrasted and makes your face (especially the nose) pale and blurred out. Of course, you can edit the setting but for the usage as a 'digital camera' you won't be able to tell the lighting quality.

The webcam pictures aren't exactly great. They say you can take pictures with a resolution of 640x480 but the quality isn't that great at all (2/5). Lots of pixels and your face is really blurry even if you freeze and hold your pose for those 3 seconds to *click* =P. Personally, I only use the lowest resolution 160x120, because it takes the best quality out of the three resolution options.

If you're thinking of using this as a digital camera *snicker* I wouldn't recommend you buying a Logitech's digital + web camera. =P This model does NOT have the LCD preview in the back so you don't know what you're taking with a *very* steady hand. Even with a steady hand the pictures end up blurry!

If I could return this back I would and pay the difference for the ClickSmart 510 webcam because that one contains a flash so the pictures will at least turn out with some good lighting. For this model, you really have to check your lighting and make sure you freeze as long as possible! lol.

I guess the only pros. about this webcam is that it's small, light, and cool-looking! ^_^;; However, this may be a con for someone with large hands as it may not be as comfortable as an actual decent digital camera! =P I love the stand because it's easier to slip in and out BUT it's also easy to knock-over. I've knocked this webcam out at least 3-4 times onto the floor, and it still works. Though, the "digital camera" memory function does not work that well, but since I do not use as an actual digicam, it's not a big deal. This is a great webcam if you have great lighting and the design is *cool*.

It's great for playing around kids, tweens, and teens. But for adults umm why not get an actual webcam and a decent digital camera? Don't cut corners because even though you are saving quite a lot of money, the quality of the pictures are what you pay for. Best of luck in making the decision for buying a webcam/digicam. ^_^

5-0 out of 5 stars This camera works really great, I am absolutely satisfied.
I bought this one online a few days ago, I like absolutely the way it works in taking still picture and video.
It's so easy to set up and run on my computer,it took me just 2 minutes to take a test drive in my room.
It controled automatically exposure, focusing on a subject in
low light and gave me good quality pictures.
Before ordering the item, I took a careful look at the other
people's reviews, they helped me a lot in choosing an expensive,
excellent stuff like this one, now I feel I have made a good decision this time. Finally, here is some feedbags I would like to give you: If you are looking for an affordable web camera with good function, try this one first, after you tried it, you'll love it, a great motion picture maker.

4-0 out of 5 stars love it
this is a excellent webcam. i bought it used and have had no problem as far as lighting goes. highly recomended

2-0 out of 5 stars grainier than quite a large beach
I bought this camera to replace a four-year-old webcam, which had finally died. To the best of my memory, the old one hadn't been particularly expensive either. When it was all plugged in, however, the quality of the pictures was so grainy that it prompted me to get a screwdriver out and fix the old one.

The old webcam rides again, and logitech will be getting this one back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For what I expected, it's fine.
I expected a decent webcam with quality and I got it. It might be a bit too expensive for what it is, but being that I have gone through millions of webcams with my website [lovelyweapon.com, my webcam shows its quality], I'm rather picky about them and this one is fine. The quality is excellent during the day, and with proper lighting at night it works even better [remember guys, no camera works without proper lighting].

It's not the beeest, but it's what I expected and I'm doing perfectly fine with it. If you don't like it you can always return it. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Logitech let-down
I did not set out to become an authority on mice, but I have now used and reviewed several and find that I have very strong opinions about them. I type as little as possible (lack of skill), so the mouse is my number one contact point with the computer. I love cordless optical units and plan to never own another corded mouse, but I don't feel that one should have to sacrifice performance for convenience.

Based on much experience, I have become a fan of Logitech products. I bought a Cordless Click! optical mouse for myself and one as a gift for a friend with complete confidence that I would be pleased. Unfortunatly, this time my confidence was misplaced. I experienced a distinct lag in the movement of the cursor with every move of the mouse, and positioning it accuratly required concentration and effort. It behaved as if there is too little RAM, but that certainly is not the case as I have a new Dell computer with a very quick processor and lots of RAM. Additionaly, my friend has experienced the same problems on his new HP computer. I adjusted all of the settings without improvement, then uninstalled and reinstalled the software, again with no benefit in performance. I previously used a Microsoft Wireless Optical Steel Blue Mouse with my system which performed flawlessly. My wife now has the MS mouse and won't surrender it, so I returned the Logitech in exchange for a MS Intellimouse Explorer. The new MS unit is performing perfectly, so I can only assume that there are "issues" with the Logitech, most likely something in the software. I wish I had uninstalled the software and tested the Logitech with the generic Windows mouse driver, but I did not. I would have accepted the Logitech had it performed well with the generic driver since I don't use any of the advanced functions.

I really wanted to like the Logitech as I am very attracted to the feel of it. And I must admitt that I like to support companies that can meet and beat Microsoft in quality and performance. But this mouse just did not work for me. I will certainly try Logitech again as I have had many good experiences with their products in the past and I believe the Logitech MX700 is still the best mouse on the market (although it is sill also expensive). I hope this review helps!

5-0 out of 5 stars Does the job well...
I am using this mouse with a Hp zd7000 notebook and it is working very well. Installed without any problems and I was up and running in little time...actually the mouse was functional as soon as I plugged it into the port.

This mouse has a nice feel in your hand...which is why I bought it in the first place. Buttons work smoothly.

Overall a great computer mouse.

1-0 out of 5 stars Operationally Great -- CHEWS through batteries
The mouse has a great feel, responds well, functions on any surface I've tried it on so far. That being said, I wouldn't make the purchase again for two reasons.

First, the mouse requires two AA batteries, and it sucks the life out of them in no time flat. I get about a month, perhaps a little under that, out of each set of batteries.

Second, the dongle necessary to use the mouse is annoying. It's got more cable than I need, and it'd be nice to avoid having the wire at all; I didn't buy the mouse for use at a distance, but rather to get rid of the clutter of the wire and mouse on my desk. With the dongle, I don't get that benefit.

So, in short -- good performer, but a higher than expected cost of ownership, and less benefit in terms of streamlining than I would have liked.

Update: I originally posted this review the day a set of batteries died. That was February 21st. Today is March 14th, 23 days later, and the batteries are dead again. The batteries were fresh Duracell ULTRAs. I have reduced the rating of the mouse accordingly, and will probably end up replacing it in the next few days. Figure about a buck per battery, two batteries per change, about 15-16 times per year. That's an extra $30-$32 annually for this mouse. It's not close to being worth that. Down to one star.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very responsive ambidextrous cordless mouse!
Microsoft's flagship mouse is their MS Bluetooth Intellimouse Explorer and Logitech's is the MX700 (Logitech's mouse is better). Unfortunately I use my left hand so the best wireless mouse that I've tried out so far for lefties is this one. In fact I think it the best ambidextrous mouse out right now.. very responsive, "like" a corded connection..

However, I am a very discerning mouse user since my work requires very accurate, detailed, and quick mouse movements. I've noticed there is a very miniscule difference in the responsiveness of this wireless optical mouse compared to a wired optical mouse. Most people (including gamers) would probably not notice.

Too bad the MX700 was not made for lefties too. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a Mouse that doesn't get Stuck! It's Great!
~ ~ * ~ ~
~ ~ Between my old beloved Macintosh, and my new PC, I must have gone through 10 Mouses (Mice?).
Each one, no matter what brand, ended up getting "stuck"- the ball inside that guides the mouse's
movement, would stop rolling smoothly. I'm willing to share some of the blame, occasionally I have
nicotine fit while working, and I know the ashes spell death to the Mouse's performance. The same problem
occurs with the sticky fingers the kids sometimes have when using the computer.

~ ~ I do a lot of amateur photo-editing. (Adobe Photoshop and less expensive, Photodeluxe are great!) This
means that having a mouse with really precise and accurate tracking is absolutely vital! I was a little
skeptical about the optical mouse, but I bought this Logitech basic optical mouse on sale.
It is wonderful. I can even notice the difference in the wonderfully precise movements when I play simple
online games like "Collapse" and "Bounce Out".

~ ~ For any work that requires precise cursor movement (Photo-editing, Illustration, fast-paced Games), this
mouse is terrific. I've had it for 2 months now. A normal mouse would have required at least 2 cleanings of
the inner ball mechanism, but the Mouse hasn't let me down yet.

I highly recommend the Logitech Optical Mouse as an inexpensive investment, which will greatly improve
the way you succeed with many of your applications. This purchase was a winner!

5-0 out of 5 stars This A+ certified user is happy with his Logitech Mouse.
I have always liked Logitech's products. I own a wireless keyboard, the Trackman FX mouse alternative, Wingman Rumblepad, Extreme 3D joystick, cordless Playstation2 controller, and now, this humble little optical mouse. Every single one of those Logitech products exceeded my expectations.

I bought a used computer on ebay to add to my home network. It did not come with a mouse. So, not wanting to spend a whole lot of money, I went for this inexpensive optical mouse and ordered from Amazon, along with a KDS 17-inch monitor. I thought it would be necessary to install the included drivers to get it to work with Windows 2000 Advanced Server. However, using the USB port, the mouse immediately began to work without the need to install the drivers from the CD.

This particular computer system is in a dark part of the house. I can plainly see the red light start to glow brighter from the bottom of the unit during use. This device works on a variety of surface, so you do not need a mouse pad.

I highly recommend this Logitech mouse. It is a very good product even if you do not factor in the low price.

I will write a review of the KDS 17-inch monitor as soon as I have had a chance to evaluate it further.

5-0 out of 5 stars great product with great price
i've been using it for 3 years and it still works perfectly, the only thing i don't like about it is that it seems to be a little too big and the wheel seems to make very loud noise.. guess it's cos i've been using it for so long

5-0 out of 5 stars We use this mouse on all 5 computers and love it
Easy to install and use, works very well

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to Install & Reliable
I was sick of my mouse-ball getting stuck, especially when I was playing computer games, and using Adobe Photoshop...I can't stand spending a lot of money on computer accessories, so I was happy to find something that worked so well for such a low price...I also like the cord length (longer than my last two mouses). ... This controller is really sweet. I bought this for a game I'm really looking forward too, One Must Fall: Battlegrounds. Installation was painless in XP, doesn't require you to install drivers but the rumble feature requires the drivers. The range is great and is perfect if you game on your TV. Coz you could get the best of both PC and Console Worlds: playing PC games while sitting on your couch! I really don't have any complaints about this product... heck for the price I paid...it is definitely worth every penny. I probally wouldn't buy it for above $40 though.
Props to Logitech for making another quality product, this is the 4th logitech product I have (wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, Z540 Speakers, and this gampad), guess how much I paid for all that ... $42!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Neat concept. Poor Execution.
The Logitech Cordless Rumblepad is a neat concept, but it sadly, hardly delivers.

The buttons and sticks do have a nice feel to them, and are quite responsive, but the problem lies in the design itself.

First and foremost, would be the shape and weight. Being cordless, it requires quite a number of AA batteries. No one wants to play video games using an ungainly controller that weighs sixty-four pounds.

As another reviewer noted, this pad is notorious for calibration problems. Soon after I recieved it, my left analog stick failed. Normally I wouldn't care, as I don't use them, but now it's always sending X+/- to the PC, causing anything I play to go crazy.

This is also a dual mode controller, with the D-Pad configured to also act as a hat control. Normally this wouldn't pose a problem, unless you're intending to play MAME or other emulator ROMs on this controller. It's not an 8-way Directional pad. You'll find that your common "Forward, Down, Down-Forward, Button" movements in fighting games are quite hard to execute.

All in all, I'd say pass this one up, even if the size and weight issues aren't... uh. issues.. for ya.

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY
This product is useless, as hundreds of people can tell you if you google search for calibration problems. The pad has a hardware problem which causes the left analog stick to break after a few minutes of use. You have to unplug it and plug it back in every few minutes to recalibrate the stick. Logitech refuses to fix it, so DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Pad, Terrible Longevity
If Logitech's corded WingMan RumblePad had the same design and ergonomics, I would have gotten that. However, it did not and I fell in love with the feel and action of the Logitech Cordless RumblePad.

What I feel is great about this pad is everything except the cordless facet of it. There are no hard edges or loose feel to any of the parts. There is nice, solid feel and feedback to the D-Pad (I prefer the solid concave disc, less fatigue). The dual joysticks are also concave which is nice on the thumbs. They also move and feel just like the sticks on the DualShock PS1/PS2 gamepad which is good. The buttons on the Cordless RumblePad are solid and have a good action to them. There are no harsh edges to dig into your skin. There are no loose, hard-plastic reactions or noises to these buttons. And the hand extensions are perfect for my hands. Once again there are no harsh edges and everything is contoured to fit comfortably. The rumble effect is just like the DualShock as well. It's neat and sometimes helpful, but really isn't necessary. Fortunately, Logitech allows you to control whether the Rumble effect is on or off (major battery conservation in having it off). I never had any problems installing this gamepad or getting it to work within games, until recently.

Gamepads are a seasonal item. They're only good for certain games. Often they are necessary for ported Console games. Which brings me to my present. I have the urge to replay Final Fantasy VII and VII on the PC. These games cry for a gamepad, so I fetched my WingMan Cordless RumblePad. After a week of web research I have discovered the my receiver is dead. And that this has happened to numerous WingMan Cordless RumblePad owners who have had their gamepad for a year or more.

There are no replacement receivers sold. The best advice offered is to "try" Logitech Tech Support. :(

With a decent set of rechargeable batteries (total of 4 AA, 8 if you want to hot-swap them) and a good rechargeable battery recharger that drains all the power from the batteries before it recharges them, you will have the best wireless rumblepad for a year. And then after that year you may find yourself with a dead receiver. And after it becomes a lost cause through normal avenues, you may find yourself wanting to open that receiver to see if you can find the short or whatever is causing the problem. You'll find the screw in the bottom holding things together isn't alone and that the seam on the receiver is sealed with some kind of ACME Super Glue and give up.

Wish me luck. I'm off to find a replacement gamepad.

Battery Recommendations: Powerex AA NIMH 1800mAh or better.
Charger Recommendations: Maha Energy MH-C204F

3-0 out of 5 stars Average Overall
I am a long time XP user that just recently got into gaming because of my new PC. I got this controller because I was tired of the old mouse and keyboard action. To my dismay, all most all of the games that I got do not allow the use of the game pad. The games even ignore the custom set-up profiler. And I have found NONE of my games support the rumblepad function. Overall feel is great and the cordless ness is the best. Responsiveness is also top-notch. If more games support this controller and it's rumblepad it would be great buy, but right now I would only recommend this controller if it were on sale or if wireless ness was a requirement. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars awesome little cam!!
the people who find this hard to install must have brain damage - it is plug and play at its simplest and best - xp recognizes it in a flash and the software is effortless to install - I tried the similarly priced creative webcam pro and couldn't say the same - the picture quality is not exactly what I get from my coolpix 5700 but for something its size it is really quite extraordinary - the video is totally fun to play with and the mic is really amazing too - I haven't used my headset once with this- the automatic compression for sending the videos is nice too - also the face tracking feature is impressive although there is a little too much zoom for my personal taste - the stop motion animation feature is a bonus and fun to play with - overall a great product for the price - two small complaints - the shield (blue pastic piece) keeps falling off and the base is less than totally sturdy - I use a thin flat-screen monitor and had to jerry-rig a way to keep it in place. For the $60 Canadian I paid during a boxing day sale I feel like I got the best posisble deal - A+

5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!
This really couldn't have been any easier to use. I literally took it out of the box, plugged the camera into my USB port, installed the software and I was done and able to take pictures all within the space 10 minutes!

Many other webcams give off quite poor quality pictures but this camera's picture is really clear and not at all grainy. You can use the timer option on this aswell.

So if you're looking for a good webcam that won't cost you an arm and leg, look no further than this one!

4-0 out of 5 stars This camera is great
This camera works fine, the installation is quick and easy..if u know what ur doing, and everything else is smooth, the picture quality is smooth and clear, and the video and sound work good,i recommend that u buy this

3-0 out of 5 stars one flaw with this cam!!!!
Its a good cam for the money, the only problem is ,it will not stay on the stand ,keeps moving around falls off my pc. Its aggravating!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Plug n Play sucks
The software that comes with the webcam doesn't work at all and you've to download the updated software from logitech site. Also I found this hard way, this web cam doesn't work for Windows 2003. Logitech has no plans of providing drivers for Windows 2003. I'm hopeful that someday they will change their decision and provide drivers for Windows 2003. Looks like till then I've to login and logout of Windows XP whenever I've to use the webcam. Having said that the picture quality of this web cam is excellent. I would have given three stars if only the installation was also as smooth as the picture quality. ... Read more

The entry-level system in Logitech's renowned Z-Series computer speakers, the 2.1-channel Z-340, is a 3-piece system pumping 33 watts total power, RMS: 6.5 watts x 2 and 20 watts for the subwoofer. The Z-340 uses Logitech's dual-chamber, pressure-driver subwoofer, designed to deliver twice the bass energy of similar systems.

The twin satellite speakers stand on desk or mount on the wall. One of the satellites provides a headphone jack with dedicated volume control, perfect for private listening. The powered subwoofer rounds out the bottom end to a deep 35 Hz, a good octave below the range of most bookshelf speakers, delivering floor-shaking bass from your music or movies.

Logitech's use of an internal power supply obviates the bulky wall adapters found on many speaker systems.

4-0 out of 5 stars excellent quality, cheap price
these speakers are awesome! get them if you like a lot of bass. i use them with itunes on my imac dv+ without any difficulty. only problem i had was when i was setting up - the instructions told me to plug in the speakers in the speaker outlet on the side of the computer, but this didn't work. a call to logitech customer service directed me to plug them into one of the headphone jacks on the front of the computer. overall, very happy with my purchase. no need to spend any more money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Speakers for the Money!
I just hooked these speakers up to my PC and I'm extremely surprised at how well these speakers perform given their price. They have surprisingly crisp high end detail for using full range drivers and the subwoofer is very capable for use with games and MP3s. Also, the speakers look great, are easy to hook up, and like others, I think the cobalt blue LED is cool.

Obviously these speakers don't compare to a high-quality subwoofer paired to floorstanding speakers using a seperate woofer/tweeter layout. But for under $$$, these speakers perform very well.

I noticed that the subwoofer is crossed over at a high frequency, which means a lot of the music and voices come from the subwoofer instead of the L/R speakers. This is done because the small L/R speakers can only go so low. This causes you to "notice" the subwoofer too much (a good subwoofer is blended so well that you don't even know it's there). To help reduce this effect, I moved the subwoofer under my desk into the corner, obstructed by my computer.

I also noticed that at my first placement of the subwoofer, the bass sounded kind of crumby. When I moved the subwoofer into the corner, it sounded one-hundred times better. By placing the subwoofer in a corner, you gain 6dB of SPL (every surface you put a subwoofer by gains 3dB or doubles the volume). Moving it into the corner also made the perceived bass sound deeper.

Overall, I'm very pleasently surprised and happy with these speakers and would highly recommend them.
