Amazon.com Product Description

Whether you're embellishing a home theater and don't want the hassle of wired surround speakers, or you simply want portable components for a deck or garage, Jensen's JW250 Sonix wireless speakers have your name on them. The speakers use 900 MHz technology to transmit sound from any audio/video source through walls and other obstacles--indoors or out--for distances of up to 150 feet. Unlike wireless products that use an infrared (IR) signal requiring a direct line of sight to the transmitter, these speakers allow countless placement options so you can enjoy music or TV sound in any desired part of your home.

Sonix speakers use a trim, contemporary design and stylish cabinetry fashioned of high-impact ABS plastic in metallic and black tones. Mounting slots on each speaker simplify permanent or temporary wall placement, and rear-panel tuning controls and left/mono/right selection switches simplify speaker control without detracting from cosmetics. The front panel's integrated on/off/volume knob provides quick, convenient operation. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Gets all the DC HD channels
This antenna works great. I'm able to get all the D.C. High Definition channels. I can even get the Baltimore channels when I rotate it toward Baltimore. After spending over $200 trying other antennas, this was the answer for my HD reception in Fort Washington, MD

1-0 out of 5 stars yeah
I disagree with some of the 1 star reviews below, but i have to say that, why a antenae, if you are buying off of amazon.com, with a *computer* than you obviously have enough money for that, unless someone gave it to you, oh wait interweb isn't free. yeah why would you ever buy a antenae, thats just plain dumb, go get a dish for 25 bucks somewhere. or cable, then you could share your interweb bill with you tv bill. Common sense people. anways Jensen isn't a very good brand, go RCA or sony all the way.

1-0 out of 5 stars This sucks
Antennas suck period. Just get cable. Not a freakin anntena. It has the worst picture avaiable and almost no channels. Satellite has good picture and is worht its money. If there's actually anyone out there that has atenna then I'm gonna laugh.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT much better than a ... RCA antenna
I have RCA antenna that I bought from ... it received few channels and was working fine ...
I bought Jensen TV910 antenna for more than twice of the price. It says Receives channels 2 - 69, but it received the same channels as RCA antenna, only few channels.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good on some channels and bad on others.
The Jensen 910 is good on some channels but very poor on others.

on the lower right of the platform. Made in China. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy way to hook up several things to an old TV!
I have an old TV, and just got a new DVD for Christmas. We also have a VCR and Playstation 2, and I wanted to hook them all up to the TV (DVD recommends not going through a VCR for better picture, which is true). This modulator was really easy to use. There's an RF cable going out to the TV, one coming in from the VCR/antenna, and two audio/video cables coming in from the DVD and PS2, plus space for one more a/v cable. There are buttons in front to switch between the a/v cables (one for DVD, one for PS2). It could be an ounce more convenient to have a remote to switch between the a/v cables, but, come on, we're not that lazy! I recommend this for those who need to hook up more than one a/v cable to an old TV, even if you don't know anything about electronics (I didn't!). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied
I bought this antenna, along with the 15-1880 model from Radio Shack ($49.95), and the Terk HDTVi ($39.95). The Terk received only 3 channels (2 HD), and the Radio Shack received 12 channels (8 HD). The Jensen received 22 channels (10 in HD). It also helps that I found this antenna from HH Gregg for only $39.99. So far, I am very pleased. My HD reception is incredible.

1-0 out of 5 stars A huge waste of money
First of all the product itself is very expensive.... This is mainly because the antenna has a small remote control you adjust the reception with. This feature is sort of neat, but its not enough to make up for the poor performance of the item. Basically, the item will improve reception on a handful of channels. For me these channels were the ones closest to my house (I can get these channels with any antenna. I didn't need to spend over 100 Canadian dollars to get those channels). I also noticed that those channels I should be getting fuzzy reception on where actually made worse by this antenna. Then I moved to the USA and had the same problem at my apartment there. The last straw was noticing all 7 people in my apartment building getting better reception than me (one of the guys was using a early 1980's antenna held together by masking tape). So, I bought a much cheaper antenna that had good reviews and now I get great reception. This antenna system sits collecting dust in a box never to be used again. If you enjoy wasting money, buy this antenna. If you want improved reception, buy ANYTHING else. I'm sure what ever you buy will be better than this one and will cost you less at that.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works in rural Kansas, week remote
We live on a farm 30 miles from a city in KS and have a wide range of signal strengths, from a tower 4 miles away to one 50 miles away. We used the remote to adjust for maximum picture quality for each station and saved the adjustment. With this we can view all channels with a clear picture by using the remote recall the best position for each channel. We can now view several channels without the changing color bands we had before.
Only the week remote and the glare off of the display keeps me from a five star award.

2-0 out of 5 stars good theory, disappointing in practice
Here's a nifty new concept: create an antenna where the optimal settings for each station are recorded and preset and can be accessed by memory remote, add on an adjustable amplifier to tune in weak signals and tune down overly strong signals, all in one package. Great ideas. I live in Boston and have only a handful of viewable stations w/the antenna that came w/my TV. I thought this device would help me gain a few more.

I set up the antenna as per the manual and did a head to head test comparing this new device with my old antenna. I then viewed the reception on each channel by first viewing it with the Jensen antenna, then removing the coax cable and replacing it with the old atenna, taking care to not move either the Jensen or the TV.

Results: marginal improvement in picture quality in 2 stations, but LOSS of ability to view channel 10 with the Jensen. In addition, I was unable to pick up ANY additional stations.

My conclusion: the Jensen probably is of questionable benefit in urban settings. How it performs in rural settings remains for others to determine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything I expected...
This indoor antennae provides great indoor reception in a very convenient manner--best antennae I've ever come across, matter of fact. The remote that came with it has a weak signal, so I programmed it into my universal remote, and voila!, now I get to be an even lazier couch potatoe! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Comfortable with good sound
I've used these headphones for about 6 months now and I like them very much. They are easy to carry around, as they fold into a neat package. The earpieces swivel in two planes, so it is easy to find a comfortable position for them on my head. The padding is soft - extended wearing does not hurt my ears. The 4 foot long cord is short, so it does not catch on arms or furniture! I have another pair of headphones with a 6' cord, and it is a nuisance on most occasions. The only negative that I can think of is that the seal that the earpieces make with my head does not allow any air to circulate around the ears - they get quite hot after a while.

After all that, what about the sound? I think that it is excellent. I listen mainly to mp3 music files and watch mainly movie and music DVDs - a range in quality. To my ears, the sound from these headphones is bright and clear, with good bass and treble responses. They are not as good as my Sennheiser PX200s, but the Jensens are considerably cheaper. I have not regretted buying them for a minute!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, comfortable, good sound...
I wanted headphones to take with my laptop to replace my behind the neck style Labtec Curve 460. I browsed around at many models. I wanted to stay under $50. I found this set at Media Play for $25 including a LONG extension cable (over 7 feet) and a 1/4 gold converter. I took a chance on them and am very pleased. The sound quality is the nicest I've heard from headphones. The headband is adjustable in height, and the arms swivel in two directions to put the phones at whatever angle you need for your ears. The padding is very soft. The band has a firm fit and it can get warm over time but I prefer to have them close fitting for better bass and reduced outside noise. They fold into a nice size of about 6x4x3 inches.

1-0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable, hollow sound
I bought these because of the folding feature they offer. They are about the samller over ear headphones available because they fold, but beyond that they have almost nothing to offer over similarly priced headphones. They're very uncomfortable; they fit on your ear instead of over them which becomes extraordinarily uncomfortable after only a half hour with them on. In addition, they make my ears sweat whereas other closed ear headphones do not. All of this would be tolerable if they produced decent sound, but they do not. Get the Koss PortaPro instead and you won't be sorry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Relief is always welcome
I have fairly large ears - most headphones hurt like crazy after a short while. These Jensens are a definite physical relief, and they seem to sound quite nice as well. The most amusing thing I find about this heavily music-oriented product is its capability to fully entertain without any music: they could serve as transformer toys for children, or as an exotic spaceship model for individuals who collect various miniature spacecraft. I wouldn't be suprised if somebody manages to drive this thing to work.

4-0 out of 5 stars I love the feel, sound quality great, could be better?
Very comfy headphones, I love the fit. The folding feature's awesome as well. I wonder though if perhaps the sound could be a little clearer? However, I didn't have the $ for BOSE and these are very nice and I'm very happy. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Product, but.....
I absolutely love these Over-the-Ear buds by Jensen, but I've gone through 3 pairs in the last 2-1/2 years. I love the way they fit. They sit snuggly in my ear like a regular bud and the over-the-ear part guarantee that they're going to stay put. Nobody can hear what I'm listening to. I use them a lot and unfortunately the bud detaches from the over-the-ear thing and sometimes when that happens the wire breaks too and the sound is lost. I have yet to find something similar to these that will fit the same and give the same sound quality.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful for the price
Until an accident caused one bud to stop emitting sound, these were my favorite pair of earphones. They were comfortable (I often left them in when I went to sleep), affordable, lightweight, durable, and had good sound quality. I used them with my Sony CFD-V5 boombox, my Oritron OP5034 portable CD player, and my RCA RP2410 MP3-CD player. On all three, bass and detail was great, and there was no distortion at a higher volume. All in all, these earphones were a great value; the only possible downside is a bit of fuzziness in the sound, which I got used to rather quickly and began to prefer over my other earphones (it lent a bit of warmth to the music). I plan to buy another pair in the near future, and I highly recommend that you do so as well. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Unfortunate waste of time
I saw mixed reviews on this product and hoped I would
be one of the fortunate buyers for whom this product worked.
Unfortunately, this product did not work at all, so I am
returning it.
I spent several hours trying to line up the transmitter and
receiver, changed channels, tried transmitting from two
different locations on the first floor of my house to a
second floor bedroom, even tried using the coax cable
instead of the rca plugs on the recieving TV set.
The total straight line distances from transmitter to
the receiver were from 20 to 30 feet and I needed to pass
through one wall and a ceiling.
Nothing was successful. The results were un-viewable and
looked like broadcast TV with a broken antenna - distorted
colors, grainy and fading shapes, and no sound.
I settled on hooking up an amplified rabbit ear antenna
from Radio Shack to the set and am now getting very good
free broadcast TV on channels 7 -13. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I have a Manual for the Jensen Universal 3 remote control
I just realized how hard it was to locate this manual until i needed it. So when i found mine i thought that i should let people know that if you need some instructions or a code or any thing you can e-mail me and I will e-mail you what you need. I hope that i have helped a few people enjoy their remotes like i enjoy this one. I have gone through 3 in 3 or 4 years. They are really good remotes. I hope you find what you needed!

2-0 out of 5 stars Lots of buttons, not so much function.
I bought this remote as a replacement for my VCR remote that broke. When selecting which model to buy, I thought this one would be good because of its price, and because it seemed to have all the buttons required to replace the functions of my original remote. When I brought it home and set it up, I found that many of the buttons were not used with the VCR function, and that the "Display" and "Clear" functions of my original remote were not available. This prevents me from removing programmed shows, or using the index features of my VCR. Also, with the "Display" function missing, I can't recall the channel or time on my TV either. I tried all the codes for the brands of equipment I have, and none of the other codes offered the additional functionality. This remote looks good at first glance, but some additional thought should have been to implementing more of the important features people need. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A good workhorse
Overall, I love this remote. It is the first remote I found that can handle every device function I try. Many of the devices have just a few codes too, which is nice. I only have a few reservations about this, and they are small. Literally the device buttons are too small. I have large hands, but good eyes, and I find my self having to squint to read the device buttons. The layout is nice, but I would prefer the dvd menu operation buttons to be up by the channel and volume and the VCR buttons to be elsewhere. I still think this is a great remote functionally. I nitpic only to show I am capble of finding room for improvement. Jensen was recently purchased by Thomson, the owner of the GE and RCA brands of electronics, among others. So expect a shake up. I phone them, and found them to be mostly helpful. They did not however steer me to the fact "General instrunments" is the "Brand" of my cable box remote, as opposed to "motorola" like its logo suggests. Once I learned that, the remote runs the DVR/cable like a pro.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jensen JR-500
I think the remote is great, except when I try to turn the volume up on my audio reciever it turns the volume up on my tv. Which is something they should have thought about. As far as codes, they were very easy to find on the internet at www.jensen.com

3-0 out of 5 stars JR500 remote codes
I think this remote is very good. However, finding customer support can prove to be quite difficult. Jensen was bought out by rca. If you need the remote codes you can contact me at jbellefeuille@personainc.ca
