Fantastic sound, more power, cooler
Just a few quick notes-- don't underestimate the value on a single cord coming off one year-- it's really convenient and feels less "fussy" in the gym when I'm on the elliptical trainer. The sound quality on these is better than my old Sony headphones and, notably, these require less power-- I have to keep my mp3 player turned way down to "3" to listen to music comfortably; my old headphones required the volume up to "12". (And the volume goes up to 30, so I suspect most headphones are designed for the 12-20 range... meaning these Aiwa headphoens are very efficient at converting the signal to sound.) Anyhow, I love 'em, glad I got them.

Awesome
I highly recommend these headphones the sound quality is fantastic. I use mine together with my Nomad Zen Jukebox and it roxors my boxors.
They are very comfortable and fit snuggle into your ears without the danger of falling out. They are extremely light but pack a huge punch. I had to turn my player down several degrees because otherwise I was in danger of getting an inner ear haemorrage.
I listen to alot of dance music with plenty of pounding base, the aiwa headphones dont even get phased, no distortion and perfectly clear.

Excellent fit and sound for running.
I purchased 2 pairs of these headphones 6 months ago. The sound quality and fit is excellent. I do have one complaint, however. For some reason, the right channel (the one without the cord connected to it) on both sets has faded and I cannot get it back to the same volume level. I am going to replace them with the same brand because they are so good in every other way.

a great buy
This is a great product 25 dollars can buy. When my headphones got broken at work, I went out and bought this at radioshack during lunch after I read the reviews on amazon{.com}. Consequently I am very happy with my decision. The egonomical design and sound quality are its two top qualities. Unlike the earbuds I owned before, once this's in my ears, I didn't feel the need to keep pushing it in all the time. I could even hear clearly the piano playing in a mixture of the background music, that ususaly is a sign of good sound quality. There are moments I am just at awe with it's surround stereo quality. All in all, this is a very good product for a small amount of money.

Excellent, practical, great for sports
Over the years I have tried many different headphones for jogging and working out. This is by far the best. The combination of the fit, together with the in-line volume control, make it extremely practical and it provides great sound.

The volume control on my first set is broken after 3 years (of hard-core use), so I am buying a new set.

The best use was on the ski-slopes, where the snug fit was crucial, and the in-line volume control meant that I could just turn down the volume to talk on the ski lifts, without going through the whole ski-glove, ski-jacket, ski-hat routine.

The only (very minor) drawback is that you can't use it to lean back against high seats, like on airplanes. I have a different set for that. ... Read more

Just buy it
They sound good...Look amazing...and are comfortable..i dont know what that last reviewer was talking about any one can wear these....just put the swoops in back of your ear and if you have glasses just put the head phones on then put ur glasses on AFTER you have them on it feels fine...i wear glasses and i listen to my cd player e v e r y d a y~trust me this is a good buy

Weird little earphones
I guess I just prefer the headphones that stick in your ear. I had the aiwa swoops that do that and loved them. They broke and I thought I'd try these. I guess I might have to get used to them yet, but do you see the little plastic arcs above the actual earphones? You're supposed to (I think) put that on your ear like glasses, but my ear is pinched uncomfortably between that and the headphone. Maybe I have oddly shaped ears. ... Read more

The finest in audio discomfort
I've been a fan of Aiwa since I worked at an electronics store in High School. I'd tell people that Aiwa was pretty much the same as Sony but cheaper. That still holds true -- a co-worker of mine has the exact same headphones with the Sony label and they cost him exactly twice as much. So these are a good value.

Unfortunately, they're painful to use. I simply love the idea of having a battery strapped to my head but couldn't they at least put it on the outside of the band? The compartment juts out on the inside, as you can see in the picture. The padding on the ear pieces is also quite thin and doesn't provide much comfort.

I won't comment on the audio quality since I haven't had the opportunity to use them on a plane yet. It doesn't cancel out the background noise of my co-workers but it probably would if they started talking at a lower frequency. I'll try to get them to do that.

Bad out of box
This set of headphones were bad right out of the box..I have co-worker/friends that have purchased the same product ( refurbished by the same company ) and most have failed to work properly within 2 to 5 days..problems like ( canceling feature doesn't work at all..Humming noise..or bad sound quality ) I wouldn't waste my time or money sending product back to this company..as they can't fix them right the first time..(...)..

What a joke
I rarely am so displeased with a product that I'll go out of my way to write a negative review of it. In this case I'm that displeased. The noise canceling technology of these headphones consist of "white noise" generated in the headphone speakers, intended to drown out other sounds. Great idea, but if I want to listed to the hiss of white noise I'll hold a seashell up to my ear and tell myself I can hear the ocean. Replacing one type of noise with another is not helpful.

Refurbished -- but still defective
I bought a refurbished pair for $ from an Amazon partner, "...". They came in some generic packaging with photocopied instructions and a 30 day non-manufacturer warrantee. Evidently there's now a mini-industry of businesses that handle returns and refurbishes them.

At home they seemed to work. With noise reduction on they had a soft background hiss, and if I moved around in some noise settings they produced an annoying buzz. On an airplane, however, the right earphone produced an earsplitting whine. The headphones are defective, the noise canceling mechanism is malfunctioning.

I have a nasty suspicion that the headphones were rather minimally "refurbished", and that this defect was the reason they were returned in the first place. It wouldn't show up in simple testing without an airplane volume noise source nearby.

Don't buy these refurbished headphones unless you have money to waste.

Avoid these headphones
I've had these headphones for about a year. And they are truly awful.

They sound terrible. They buzz when noice canceling is turned on. They are very uncomfortable. And they don't work very well at cancelling the equipment noise in my cubicle.

A coworker who tried them jokingly suggested that the buzz was the "noise canceling" feature, because he couldn't here the equipment fan noise in his office/lab because the buzz masked it. My experience is the buzz just adds to the noise.

I've tried to give the headphones away twice. Both times my coworkers have returned them. I'd recommend that you seriously look at other noise canceling headphones. ... Read more

Pretty good, but not perfect.
The bass on these headphones are actually quite good except that you have to push them in the ears so that the acoustic plus feature seals up the ear canal. If the headphones are not inserted properly there won't be much bass at all. The overall sound quality is pretty good, but I think the high end portable sony headphones have a better upper end clarity. The only real problem with the headphones is that they can become quite uncomfortable because they create some pressure within the ear canal when the acoustic plus seals it up. However at least you can wear glasses with these things because the swoops band goes under the ears and not over so that is a plus.

good headphones
Even though i dont own these headphones, like all other Aiwa products, these should be just as good. These specific set of headphones are really good if you own an Aiwa cd player. If you own a cd player from sony, they will not work as great as they would on an Aiwa cd player. Aiwa says their products have good bass, well they do, but if you have another brand cd player, its not worth getting. For instance, if you have a sony cd player, they are great, but with these headphones, you wont be toatally satisfied with it because sony cd players dont give enought bass with any type of headphones that you use. And if you want these heaphones for loud music and lots of bass, be sure to own an Aiwa cd player because they are ment to be used with other Aiwa products and not with other companys products even though they are compatible, its just how Aiwa makes their products. And i know this beacause i have an Aiwa cd player with Aiwa headphones and i have tryied to mix brands of cd players and headphones and it does not work too well.

Decent
I bought these headphones to work out with. I wanted a pair of headphones that were neckband headphones and without any foam (so they wouldn't get sweaty).

These headphones fit my criteria as well as having a good enough sound for my purposes. I found the sound adequate. The dynamic range didn't seem as good as some other headphones I own. I would use them for working out, but for general purpose I prefer other headphones.

Pretty good headphones: unbreakable, flexible, comfortable. When you accidentally turn the headphones' cable at the port there will be no sound distortion. it happens to many headphones but not to this one. The ear pads contain air inside and when you insert them it "sinks in".

Where's the bass?
These headphones look great and the Swoops Neckband makes it comfortable to wear but unfortunately they do not sound as good as they look. They are lacking in bass. If you go to the AIWA site to see the features, you will read that AIWA has incorporated the "Acoustic Plus Technology" and the "Pipe-Phone for Super Bass," designed to increase bass reponse. I had to turn up the bass on my portable Sony CD player (D-EJ815) all the way up and even still, it did not sound as deep and powerful as the ones that came with my portable CD player. ... Read more

Good sound, but uncomfortable.
I'm a big fan of Aiwa products, but these headphones disappointed me considerably. The earbuds are pretty uncomfortable and difficult to fit completely into the ear, so I could only judge the quality of the sound from halfway in my ear. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but if that IS the case, why are they so hard to put in? Plus, the shape of the headphones is deceiving because the curved part (that is supposed to fit snuggly around the ear) goes underneath the ear instead of on top, so they never fit properly on my head.

I will deal with them, though, because I am not going to buy another pair. And people do tell me I have a freakishly small head, so maybe it's just me.

Very nice...
These are the best inexpensive... (under 50 bucks) headphones I have used. They are very comfortable because they fit in your ears and do a good job of completely blocking outside noise.

These where obviously designed for small people or teenagers in mind since the things wouldn't fit around the back of my head. Ok quality... but not the best
Well... the sound is average... bass is not as good as I'd thought it'd be... I'm thinking its because it's not really suited for my ears...

the treble is a little scruffy too... kinda ruins the mariah carey squeals....

Frankly.. they are pretty much just your pair of above average earphones... nothing that will blow your mind away....

Don't be mislead by the frequency range of these earphones...

High school physics says that a sound of frequency below 20Hz is not sound at all but just beats... so if the headphones have a frequency range of 6Hz..its not sound at all.....just beats at 6hz a second.

Also.. the average human ear can only detect sounds up to 20,000KHz.. so having a 23KHz note playing is kidna useless and can only be heard by like 5% of the human population whom are professional musicians....

Good sound drivers, mediocre implementation...
Overall I think that these headphones have the potential to produce very good sound, however it does have some major problems that keep me from giving it a higher rating. First of all, the acoustic plus technology doesn't really work as well as it theoretically should. Unless it fits properly in the ear it does not isolate the sound and it also prevents the bass from being audible. I think the acoustic plus technology would have worked much better if the silicone earpads were actually sealed because then it might fit more snugly in the ear. As it stands, they just kind of collapse and get squished in the ear and the hard edges of the earbuds become fairly painful. I do not know how well they fit in everyone else's ears but they definitely do not fit in mine properly enough to sound good or be comfortable. However, I do realize that the drivers in them do produce decent sound so I am not rating them any lower because they may just sound great to the people who have the ears that these earbuds were specifically designed for.

Absolutely unacceptable sound... Waste of Money
I bought these headphones...hopping that I will get something that I will blow my head off. I was totally unsatisfied. These headphones create an environment as if you are in a car driving at 100 miles per hour with the windows open! I think AIWA was aiming to create headphones to immitate the sound of car stereos. They succeded for a 100 mile/hour car!
Now to get serious, this product is a complete waste of money-and they were not cheap. There is zero bass boost, TOO MUCH MIDDLE FREQUENCIES, and very little treble. If you find divices with the abillity to handle middle frequencies, you might get something out of them. The sound is really flat as it is...
My strong recommendation to you: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Thust me, I am a musician and I want the best sound when it comes to listening to my own music or other CDs...
Be wise and look elsewhere...

Apparently AIWA does not deal in Canada anymore.
Now I'm having a hell of a hard time trying to get some in Montreal. AIWA do not ship to Canda with their web site orders and now, Amazon is saying that shipping is not available in Canada for this item. I'm going mad over here, losing my mind trying to get them. Don't buy these headphones
It's difficult to tell from the photograph, but the actual speaker on these headphones is quite bulky, and would not fit into my ear, leaving the headphone jutting out at unlistenable and uncomfortable angle.

The rings in varying sizes included for adjustability cannot fix the fit problem, and, at least for me, added another one; they are flimsy and snap in so tight that when I attempted to change a ring, it broke off, leaving a tab stuck in the slot so that no other rings could be inserted.

From the little testing I managed, the sound quality was also not impressive. In short, do NOT buy these headphones; while not ill-conceived, they are poorly designed and flimsily made.

Aesthetically Pleasing Headphones
These headphones have only one thing better than the rest of them. They're cool looking. If you are more concerned about the looks of a pair of headphones then about the quality of sound, you should get these. Also, Aiwa is a brand you can trust. Great Buy
For the cheap price these headphones can be purchased, they are a great set. Very good sound, but more importantly for me, extremely comfortable!

These are by far the most comfortable headphones, and they sustain comfort over long periods of time. I have yet to wear them to the point where my ears start to ache -- I'm not even sure that such a time exists.

The design is ingenious. Less significantly, they look pretty cool. The sleek black ear pieces are pretty small, and are very easy to slip on. Since they have no plastic band connecting the two earpieces, as would your typical headphones, they are very easy to wear in bed or in a tall-headrest chair.

I rated the product at five stars -- there are certainly better headphones on the market, but from what I've seen and experienced, these are by far the greatest value for a low-priced set.

nice set of headphone
i just got these a couple days ago and was actually really hoping to get a set of sony headphone. however, amazon was sold out on the sony so i opted for the aiwa. im extremely happy with them. great sound and very comfortable. at first i was worried that they were "too" comfortable and werent secure. however, i realized that its not that they were secure, its just that they are actually that comfortable. im very happy with these headphones and was quite surprised to find that they actually have a sparkling look to them. i thought they were going to be solid black but i guess aiwa put a reflective marterial inside to make them reflex light.
anyway, im happy with these. good price for a nice set of headphones.

Pay less and get great sound
As I know this is another version of Aiwa HP-EC1 selling in Asia.
They are cheap but give you great performance.
With this cheap headphone you can hear full range of music instruments with high clarity, good bass, exceptional spatial effect and it cover nearly all sound frequencies.

I have test HP-EC1 with many kind of music from Classical to Russian pop.
This headphone is well respond, you can hear every instruments in Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" and it is the right headphones that can bring you to dwell in Asgard to observe those Aesir untill the Ragnarok come.

On Chinese Ancient instrument "Gu Qin" I was surprised with its ability to reproduce subtle sound of instrument and every effect of artist's finger technique including those "artistic noise".

For piano music such as Shubert, Liszt, Ravel or Beethoven this headphone perform fairly well. The sound can be considerably a bit too thin. (I compare it with Audio-Technika headphone which is much more expensive anyway)

On pop music, it is perform very well on those I tested -> Highland, Gubin, Viagra, Malikov etc. with stunning sound.
Also nice sound on "Neoclassic Heavy Metal" from Yngwie and "Hard Rock" from Europe.

There are some points to concern, first, this headphone's design is strange -> you should leave air gap open between headphone and your ear. This give you good sound but the sound also not as loud as other headphones of the same class.
Second, since you have to leave air gap so it use the foldable clips to clip it to your ears. This make this headphone harder to clip to the correct position.
Third, the version sold in Asia, some were made in China. Even they were manufactured under very strict Japanese quality control but I used to saw one that got problem with its housing that can give resonance noise on some frequencies. This problem is easily handle by just pressing the housing to make sure they are firmly fixed together. Anyway it is annoying.

Last word, this is really cheap but best headphone in the market. It is one that I recommend to my friends. ... Read more

Lovely headphones, could be more sturdy...
This is an excellent headphone. This is mainly from the "code holder". It is something found on more expensive headphones like the ones ... Great noise cancelation, sometimes too good. I couldn't hear things like people comming into the house, phone ringing, etc... It also puts out great, full sound which is good for any type of music/genre. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is construction. It does look nice but I wouldn't take them out excercising or out in public. Aiwa makes good headphones w/ good sound and deep/low bass response but their construciton is shotty, especially the connectors. If you are using these for use in the home they are great. Otherwise get something more sturdy for outdoor use.

Echo 'an electronics fan'
I've been through several pairs of in-ear headphones and these bring them to a new level. As 'an electronics fan' mentioned, the frequency response is incredible at all ranges. I was blown away when I first put them on. Not sure why they are so hard to get ahold of, but they are worth hunting down. I finally found them online at Dealznet.com. They took forever to show up and I had to pay almost as much as the cost just for shipping and handling, but worth the wait and cost.

An Amazing Product!
I bought these as a replacement for another brand "ear canal" type earphone that I had been very happy with, but had worn out the foam earpieces. When I plugged these in I couldn't believe the difference! These sounded at least twice as good at all sound levels. They have excellent highs, lows and mid-range and I'm able to hear nuances that I couldn't hear before. I've compared these to several bud type earphones from different companies and even my expensive over the ear phones that I use for my home stereo and these sound better than any of them. I've worn them for several hours at a time and found them to be very comfortable. The ear pieces are a soft rubber instead of foam. They fit tight and look like they will last a long while and there is a spare set included just in case. I can't fully explain how good I think these sound. Good sound quality, awkard to wear
I never thought I would have a learning-curve when it came to wearing headphones, but I do with these. First, for the price, the sound quality is excellent. Clear. Good sound volume output on my portable CD-player. Nice sound quality.

But the earlink system doesn't work too well with my ears. They are not uncomfortable, they just don't stay on very well. It may be my ears are odd-shaped, but it should just not be as much work involved with getting headphones on as there is with these. I seem to be between a medium and large ear size, these come with 3 different sized loops to hook around your ears. So do I go with one a little tight or a little loose? Props for the sound quality, but overall the physical design gets in the way of an otherwise good replacement headphone for your portable electronics. I would still consider them however, espeically if you like AIWA products. ... Read more

It is very comfortable and fits in my hear like no other ear phones, I believe they have a model that has a volume control for it but its hard to find and now this exact model is hard to find and only available through amazon (which is pritty stupid)

the headphones are fine for adults, but for kids they are too big to stay in their ears and they prob need the ones on a band

Beware...
I bought these because I have owned Aiwa earbud-style headphones in the past, and been extremely happy with them, even so far as to prefer them to any other brand, including Sony.

This pair turned out to be an almost complete disappointment. To be sure, the sound quality is fantastic; the treble is nice and high, the bass is spectacular for 'phones so small...

Unfortunately, the sound quality is not so good as to make up for the major problem with the 'phones: a glaring design flaw. The headphones do not come with earpads, nor do they have a soft rubber coating to keep them planted in your ears. They're made entirely of HARD PLASTIC. Not only do they not stay put, but, kept in your ears long enough, it's enough to cause severe pain.

It's nigh on impossible to find just replacement earpads, without having to buy a new set of headphones.

If you already have a set of earbuds with earpads you can re-use, these may not be such a bad replacement. But if you want something comfortable and ready-to-use right out of the box, look elsewhere.

Not the best solution
Well, I was looking for a .... solution until I got my Logitech Z-540's (good speakers BTW), so I picked up these. Only 8 bucks, can't beat that price. It also claimed it has an added bass boost which gave it the edge. I figured "what the heck, they're only headphones" So I hooked them up. At the time, I was not very good with sound and had little expirience compared to now. They were OK, but I decided to review this again with a real analysis based on real speakers:

The headphones sound mediocre overall and don't produce a very clear sound or tone overall, but they get the job done. The "bass boost" is completely bogus. Even equalized, I noticed almost no bass coming through, and with a full-range sound test, I noticed that almost all of the bass range is gone and it really leaves the audio very weak and empty. Overall, the sound quality is poor, fizzly, and weak.

If you're looking for a good pair of headphones for a good price, these are not the ones you're looking for. I have heard from numerious sources that the Koss KSC-50's are a good pair and I intend to pick those up if I ever get an MP3 player for example.

Bottom line: Don't buy them.

...I bought these headphones ...figuring they seemed to be a good deal and claimed they had s uperior bass boost. Well, I hooked them up and they are what you pay for. Normal average quality. The bass was not at all what I expected. The bass is, in fact, very weak. Also, I found that after wearing these for about an hour my ears started to hurt. Well worth the money!
I bought these at the local Best Buy a few months ago and I love them! They give excellent sound quality and excellent ranges. While I have owned these, I have left them out on the floor because my desks and such are extremely cluttered. While they have been on the floor, I have stepped on them at least 20 times, no joke, and they have held up. They are a sturdy set of headphones. If you can afford them, BUY THEM! The BEST set of headphones I've ever used. One more thing... In Austin Powers: Goldmember, about 5-10 minutes in, you can see the music conductor wearing this type of headphones, except they are on backwards.

Superb Selection for Home Audio Listening
I have owned these headphones for a year now. Prior to them I owned a similar pair of headphones but they were manufactured by a no-name company and I bought them for[money]at a computer show. You definitely get what you pay for. Those ones broke. Thirty dollars for this set is well worth it.

Anyone who values absorbing every sound will love them. They keep all the sound in. There have been times when someone has been in the same room as me yelling my name and I didn't realize it. Obviously, I had the volume up very loud and when they tapped me on the shoulder I nearly had a heart attack, so be careful.

Aside from sound quality, they also have outstanding durability. They will stretch to fit virtually any head size. I have a relatively small head but they fit snugly. My brother, who has a very large head, has used them, and they fit him well too.

As far as added features go, there's not much. They are only headphones afterall. I like the location of the mute button (on the bottom of the left earphone), although I have hit it accidentally from time to time (no big deal, it only mutes when you're pressing it). Also, there is more than enough chord. I often plug these headphones into my stereo, put them on, and sit at my desk, which is across the room, without a problem. On the other hand, the chord can get in the way if the player is close. But that's why headphones like this are ideal for home use. The only feature I've noticed lacking from this model is an on-chord volume control (which my cheap $10 pair actually had). But if you're near your player or have a remote for it, this isn't an issue.

All in all, the aiwa HP-X222 headphones are ideal for all home audio purposes, computer and stereo. Five star product.

Great headphones.... a little TOO great.

I needed headphones for my PC because I live in a dorm and dont want to bother my roommate with my Digital Audio projects and such. I bought these because of thier impressive 5-25,000 hz frequency response. These headphones are great. They provide a "true to source" reproduction of the sound. That means that all the flaws of MP3s can be heard through these headphones. It also means that these headphones wont boost bass or cut treble, you will have to do that yourself with your source EQ. Not a problem with me.

What did bother me was the amount of interference I heard from the headphones. My desktop computer is all crammed on my small desk. These headphones are SO GOOD at a wide range of frequencies that it was picking up frequencies within the computer and monitor. I could hear my mouse cursor move across the screen, for example. It was a light fuzzy noise, not a big deal when listening to loud music, but when the audio is off or I was working with editing audio, it became annoying.

I plugged these headphones to the rear audio jack of my sound card, and the interference was less, but that is where i plug in my speakers and I didnt want to have to change the plugs out every time I wanted to switch between speakers and headphones.

So the moral of the story is, these headphones are GREAT if you have a high end, high quality sound coming into them from a high quality source with minimal interference.

Comfort wise, I have a huge head and these headphones were comfortable, they are huge.

I returned them and will probably get a model with less frequency response and an in-line volume control, which is helpful for computers you dont have to keep changing your system volume every time you want the headphone volume to change.

Great for the price, but pay a bit more to get a lot more
These headphones were purchased at a large retailer for a reasonable price for my computer listening pleasure. Over the past year or two I've had them, their use has expaned to computer listening, minidisc listening, live mixing/recording...etc. They have gone almost everywhere with me. I use them, I would say, an average of 4 hours per day. The only wear is a bunch of scuffs on the outside. For the price, these are very goood headphones, but these things are big. Not like heavy big, but like big coffee cans over your ears. When someone comes into the same room and talks, you can't hear them if you have music playing at a normal volume. The bass coming from the 38mm drivers is not of the clearest quality, but exists. You can't get that out of your typical headphones from this price range. The highs need a little work on the eq, but are okay.
One additional thing: what the heck do they put the worthless mute button there for? You hit that and it mutes the audio, but still need to remove the 'phones to hear someone speak clearly...oh well

All in all, pay a bit more money and get some good Sonys or something. If you are really cheep, or want an inexpensive backup pair...go for it!

For the price, these work great
Okay, so they are not the most sleek, well-designed pair of headphones you can find. But for the price, they work great.

These headphones that go over your ear are great for blocking out noise. It's not 100% noise blockage, but better than most headphones.

Needs to be louder
For the price, not bad. But if you are looking for professional sound, go elswhere. For the purpose of using it for a karaoke machine it's ideal. The volume is a little low compared to other mic's but that can be overlooked, especially for the price & durability. It's very well put together. And the cord length is adequate. aiwa headphones
I love the headphones, i bought them for a present for christmas and i am amazed at the comfort and quality of sound from such a small set of earphones! You easily forget you have them on! I can't believe i only paid so little for such quality! Very happy!

Great sound and sweet style
The Aiwa swoops have very high sound quality in a small package; the bass they pump out is noticibly more powerful than other headphones with similar sized drivers. The behind-the-head design avoids messing up your hair and also looks good...form and functionality right there. I've had my swoops for over a year and am very happy with um. If you're not used to the in-the-ear-type headphones, they may feel uncomfortable at first; however, once you wear them a few times you get used to them. The price is pretty reasonable...you get some good sound for under 20 bucks.

ummm, not sure about everyone else
this is my take:

1) yeah the look cool, but all the behind-the-head headphones make it nearly impossible to rest your head on the seat of a bus or anything where you might need to just relax
2) i went through 2 pairs (my first cd player broke down so i got another one that incidently came with the same headphones) and each one ended up breaking on the sides
3) they don't want to sit in properly, each pair had a tendency to get kind of warped and sit funny, and after contorting it back into position a thousand times it just broke

overall: very good sound quality, cool looks, poor design (make sure you have normal head, but then again, i thought i had one too) also, the cord is fairly short

Not so good
I was pretty disappointed with the bass.... they are very lightweight and are good for the gym, but I have ditched them for my old Koss KTX/Pro headphones, which have much better sound and a volume control built into the cord.... I would recommend them over these any day despite the less 'trendy' look.

Stylish and comfortable...
I only wear inner-ear type earphones, and my old sony's were passing on to the electronic warehouse in the sky. I wanted to try these based on reviews and they are great. Most importantly, they are very comfortable, and I can wear them much longer than my old set. Sound quality is also great, but I haven't tested the bass yet. These are very lightweight (but not cheaply built), and would be great for running or whatever. Also, the sound holes are much bigger than on my old set, and thus won't get jammed up with wax.
