5-0 out of 5 stars excellent color transfer
I need to put images and text on three t-shirts, and having an Epson Photo 890 printer, I naturally ordered the Epson iron-on transfer paper. I was surprised at the color quality of the image transfer - it's really good. For the text, I had to be sure to flip it horizntally before I printed it, so that it wouldn't be backwards on the shirt. I forgot once, but luckily it was on a practice shirt. Overall, I'm happy with the results, and I'll bet when we wear the shirts for an upcoming event, people will be surprised I did it myself.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works well for the price and ease
The print itself looks great, but when you cut it out and iron it on your white t-shirt, you can see the white background and it looks pretty amateurish. It also has a rather slick feel to it, but I guess most transfers do. It probably wouldnt look very good at all on a t-shirt other than white. But for a quick way to make one or a few custom t-shirts, its very easy, and will get ok results. Try it out, but use a new, white t-shirt.

4-0 out of 5 stars good product overall
i just wanted to add that in addition to what everyone has said already, beware that this product rips easily. if you stretch the shirt a little, then your design will become ripped. you also want to do a practice iron on an old shirt just to get acquainted with what part you peal off. hope this helps.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid product that requires attention to the instructions
I finished my first tshirt using the Epson product today. Unlike some reviews I had read, your first attempt need not be an "experiment". Just follow the instructions provided and be sure you understand how to load the product into your printer.

The colors are somewhat muted and the white tshirt does seem to show within the pattern to some degree. It will not produce the equivalent of a silk-screen process, but the end product is reasonably good given the price.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Review of Iron-On Transfer Paper? I must be bored :-)
I've only tried a few different brands of Iron-On Transfer paper, (so far Avery, HP and Epson) and I can say that this one works rather well. The ability to peel the transfer paper backing off the shirt when it's cool works better than another brand of paper in which you have to peel the backing when it's still warm.

I see two drawbacks and both are minor but significant:

1) The backing of the paper is blank/white just like the front and it's almost impossible to tell which side is the one that you want to print on. One corner of the paper is cut off to tell you the orientation and Epson only has directions for their printer. Basically, if your printer feeds from the bottom, you orient it one way, but... if your printer feeds from the top, it's a different ball game. They tell you this on their website. Other brands of transfer paper have faded words on their paper to tell you which is the back.

2) Epson only provides the clear/white paper. If you try this on any dark colored shirt, you will see the iron-on transfer clearly and it doesn't look good. They mention it in one sentence in the instructions.

That's my 2 cents,

Victor ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to photo paper
We used to print our marketing literature on glossy photo paper (architecture firm, lots of pictures). Tried this paper and loved it. The pictures are just as crisp with only a very slight color difference from the glossy paper, and it's about 75% cheaper.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for Crafts and Photo Projects for school
Think about it. The paper is 100 sheets for 11 dollars. That's VERY inexpensive for photo paper. I used this paper to make nice wrappers for around Hershey's candy to make favors for a 50th wedding anniversary. It is also great for making photo pages for the sports teams memory books. It is thin enough to not make the pages bulky, but thick enough to not let colors bleed through. I use it with an HP printer and it works great. I don't own an Epson, so I could not say how it works. I do know that it works great for sending a collage of photos to several people as it is inexpensive and the thickness makes it easy to fold into and envelope.(I did just that for Christmas cards) I would not use this for making long lasting photos, but if you want a better quality page than normal paper, this is the route to go!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not for Epson 2200
Although this product is listed as an accessory for the Epson 2200 printer, it is NOT SUPPORTED by this printer's driver.

The types of paper supported by the 2200 are:

Plain Paper
Premium Luster Photo Paper
Premium Semigloss Photo Paper
Premium Glossy Photo Paper

Although other papers may work, the color profiles included with the printer and supported by the driver support ONLY the above listed papers.

4-0 out of 5 stars good for most things
This paper is great for most uses but it lacks the brilliant shine of the glossy paper. Images are a bit darker and more matted out. But over all I still say this is good for most uses. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best photo paper value on the market!
I shot about 4.000 pictures within the last 3 months and printed over 1.200 of them. What paper do I use? This is one! It is my absolute favorite! Not only do I achieve an unbelievable color accuracy and picture quality but also the price is unbeatable! Sure, there are papers out there that are thicker and have a glossier finish but why would you want pay twice as much for that? Or more importantly, why do you need thicker paper and a glossier finish? 50 sheets for about $15 is as good as it gets! Generally I recommend Epson paper over HP, Kodak and Canon. Stay away from Staples and Hammermill paper. I use a HP 7760 printer and a Sony F717 camera.

2-0 out of 5 stars OK for non critical volume printing
I have never been a big fan of Epson papers, this one is
no exception. Has a tendency to deform even under 200 ppi.
For unbeatable quality get the HP premium photo matte. That
paper rocks ! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best paper I've found yet
I could just talk about useless thinks, but I'll just mention something for those who consider this the best paper, and want to print 5x7 images.
First, this doesn't come in 5x7. So, to print as such, there is a way I've found to print 5x7 with the 1280, and other semi-wide format printers.
Load the paper in the tray landscape. (I know, they say not to do it, but it works.) Then, tell the printer to print your 5x7 centered on half letter paper. When the pic is printed, print your other image with the blank half of the page on the right, when you face the printer.
although this takes a little longer than might be desired, you now have made the best possible use of this paper, and have 5x7 prints ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars great paper, but not what I wanted
Fantastic output from the Epson 960 printer on this paper, but I bought it thinking I could print borderless 8x10's. This option was not supported by the printer -- need to print 8x10 on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, then trim it.

2-0 out of 5 stars The size doesn't work for the printer
I bought this paper for the Epson 890 printer. The printer I love, the paper, I don't. This size paper isn't entered in the printer software that comes with the printer. There is no borderless 8x10 paper setting. You can manually select the size and check borderless, but the printer thinks its 8.5x11 and if you selected to print an 8x10 with your picture software the printer adds a border to 3 sides and cuts off the picture on the fourth. I played around with various paper sizes and printer options but with no improvement.

This was very dissapointing. I bought 8x10 photo paper because I wanted 8x10 borderless photos, once you trim the shots down, they are no longer standard sizes for putting in picture frames. If you want 8x10 shots, buy the 8.5x11 borderless paper and trim. Its the only way to get a standard sized picture.

Also, I wouldn't recommend 8x10 shots for digital photo printing. Unless you have a very high Megapixel count, the pixels are spread too wide on an 8x10 and there is visable dithering or pixelation. I have a 3.1 camera, and I have noticed some dithering, you can see the pixels or dots from the camera.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not supported on the Epson 2200 printer
Although this product is listed as an accessory for the Epson 2200 printer, it is NOT SUPPORTED by this printer's driver.

The types of paper supported by the 2200 are:

Plain Paper
Premium Luster Photo Paper
Premium Semigloss Photo Paper

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow, great results
Believe me paper matters. When you put the wrong paper in your printer, you get very weird results.

P.S. This review was before I had used Kodak's One Touch to better Pictures. Please see my Kodak Paper review prior to making your buying decision. I was really impressed with what Kodak did.

REVIEW IS BASED ON USE ON THE EPSON 890:
When I bought my Epson 890, I bought several different packs of Epson paper, this 8 X 10 one, an 8.5 X 11 one and some 4 X 6 sheets as well as the roll paper. See my separate reviews on the others items (including the printer) also on this site, if you are interested in them. However, finally, I got around to trying the 8 x 10 paper. You see you wait until you have the perfect picture to do an enlargement.

NICE QUALITY IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT USES
It did not dissappoint. Wow, the colors were great. I took several types of pictures and different lighting and the result were great. Now that I've tried it I'm hooked. People who have seen the pictures first of all can't believe they are off an inkjet printer. Then they marvel at the color and sharpness of the photo.

PAPER AND PRINTER INTERATION:
One caution, those of you that think you can use any paper on any printer... Forget it. I had some paper from another supplier and when I used it on the Epson, the ghostly images were terrible. It seems not surprisingly that the printers are optimized for their papers. And to be honest, it is not worth the money to me to try a bunch of other manufacturer's paper only to find out the results would be bad.

EASIER TO FIND ON THE WEB THAN IN THE STORES:
This paper is easier to find on the net. I have looked in my usual spots for this paper off the web and considering not only computer, office supply and grocery stores it is just not out there.

Great product... Enjoy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes for beautiful prints
The prints produced on this paper (by an Epson 890, in my experience) are virtually indistinguishable from photo prints. The paper looks and feels just like a photograph. For high quality printing needs, this paper fits the bill.

Epson also takes extra care in the packaging. The paper is sealed between two pieces of cardboard in a plastic sleeve. This keeps the paper flat and smudge free. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Medium
I print on an HP1120 and the colours I get on this paper are amazing. It has a high gloss and make the most amateurish work look professional (I should know!).

The colours don't run and they stay true for months and months ... of course that could be the ink but the paper helps.

It is a little expensive - only 20 sheets per pack. That's the reason I left off the 5th star. But it is essentially worth it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great on the Epson 875DC and 875 DCS....
I'm not sure how well this would work on other printers, but for the Epson Stylus Photo 875DC and 875DCS, it's great. These printers actually come with a roll attachment that allows you to slide on this banner roll and print. Plus, the drivers actually allow you to specify that you're printing off this roll and on this type of paper. It's great, easy as pie, and HIGHLY recommended.

The print quality on this Glossy photo paper is also incredible. I've experienced no fading problems so far, and I treat my photos like any user would (ie: throw them on the desk and sorta forget about them until I clean).

5-0 out of 5 stars This is just so neat
GREAT FOR LOTS OF PHOTOS AT ALL ONE TIME When you have a bunch of photos to print this is the way to go.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO IT (FILM FACTORY) COME WITH THE PRINTER AND WORK GREAT Epson provides instructions how to set this up, so there is just no waste and it prints very smoothly and very quickly.

SINCE NO SEPARATE PAPER FEED PRINTS VERY FAST. Usually the thing that takes a long time in a printer is the paper queuing up. Getting it all set up and then fed in. This eliminates that.

HAVE DONE 40-45 PHOTOS THIS WAY AND ALL TURNED OUT AS EXPECTED I used up the free roll they give you with an order of an Epson 890 (worth about 20 4X6 prints) and then came back for more.

NO WASTE, EASY TO SET UP AND REMOVE This is easy to set up, no waste and easy to take down.

THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS CURL The only negative is the strong curl your prints have. A night or two under a book helps.

Great product, I'm coming back for more.

5-0 out of 5 stars 4" roll - photo paper by Epson
First of all very nicely packed, reusable box. Absolutely the same quality as the photo paper in sheets. Easy to use. Excellent printout quality. A little minus, prints tend to keep its original shape, roll. Takes time to flatten 'em. After all they come in the roll. Overall - I'm very satisfied. *****

4-0 out of 5 stars Paper great; Curls Not great
This is great paper for printing 4x6 pictures. I used it on my 785EPX and also on my 825. You can't tell the difference between photolab & the printed one. The quality is EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, you can't get the pictures to lie flat no matter what you do. I've laid heavy books on the pictures and the still pop-up. It's easier to use Epson 4 X 6 Borderless Photo Paper, same quality, but the pictures are flat.

2-0 out of 5 stars Paper curl
Great paper. Convenient to print large numbers of prints. But, it comes off the roll curved and no amount of effort can straighten it. Wish it were not so. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FINE ART PAPER
Anyone thinking about using an inkjet printer for photography must try this paper. I do fine art photography and my own darkroom work in medium format. I just purchased the Epson 1270 printer and have been using this heavy weight paper with eye opening results. This paper is pure white and used with the new inks in the 870 and 1270 printers has a fade resistant life of over 26 years. This paper has the look of a fine art Ilford or Kodak N surface...And best of all ..the price is hard to beat !

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Paper, Great for Giving
I primarily use my printer to make prints of my digital pics. I cannot stress enough how much better they look on this paper. They look so good that most people don't believe that they came from my digital camera and home printer.

High qulaity paper makes all the difference in the world when it comes to inkjet printing. I've tried quite a few different brands of paper, and I have fallen in love with the epson line. The pictures turn out sharp, rich and clear.

The only downside of the paper is that it does turn colors with time :-(. Epson says that if you keep them in an airtight package, say behind glass, they won't turn as quickly. Mine did in about a two years, but they were simply held in a stack, and not behind glass or in a sheet protector.

All that being said, it is good paper and my machines prints well on it. They make great prints for giving to others who want 'copies' of your pictures.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Photo Paper
As a professional photographer, I've tested many different types of paper and Epson's Premium Line is by far the best. Everyone who sees the results (printed on the Epson 870/1270) can't believe it. The look and feel is the same as a photograph. The only way you'd know it was printed on an inkjet is by looking at the back to see the 'Epson' watermark.

Epson also produces the Premium Luster (an "E" surface or matte paper) and Premium Semi-Gloss Papers. They are all great papers, but the Premium Glossy affords the most contrast (which is to be expected from a glossy paper).

To lenghten this paper's longevity we reccomend displaying behind glass or keeping the prints in sheet protectors where the print doesn't have contact with the air. Under those conditions it will last a long time without a noticeable change--probably years, if not longer, according to Epson

5-0 out of 5 stars Best for presentation/graphic printout
Epson makes great printer papers. I use Epson's matte paper almost as much as the regular inkjet paper. This paper is made for color presentation and graphic. I print out my portfolio and sample work with matte paper because it is relatively cheap to the high quality printout. I use the Epson 820 and the color print matches the monitor colors (98%) almost perfect.

For photo prints it is fine, but photos are simultaneous with glossy texture. If you like glossy photo then this is not the photo paper you would get. The colors do not jump at you nor have sharp deferential qualities that glossy can produce. Printing plain texts without color might be too wasteful (costly) for matte paper. I considered Epson the best in paper qualities over Canon, HP, Kodak and others for the quality/price. I have switched to the Canon i960 and am still using Epson's paper. It is that versatile. I tend to use the harder to find Epson double-side matte paper.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just like a real photograph
I use this paper with an Epson Photo 960 using the "Premium glossy Photo Paper" option. It prints photos as nice as any Ive seen printed. These are great looking photos. Now if they could do something about the price. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty high capacity and somewhat long-lasting
I've used this in my CX6400 printer for about the past three weeks now. I've copied numerous papers and printed many internet pages. So far, it's about 1/3 of the way through. If there is something like it doesn't use the last 10% of its cartridge ink, I'll keep you posted. Otherwise, if you got a printer that goes with this cartrige, you best buy it here because it has it for $5 cheaper than any other site aight. ... Read more
