The Stylus Pro 7600 from Epson is a large format, high-quality printer with a number of advantageous features. It combines a variable-droplet micro piezo DX3 drop-on-demand inkjet technology with its specially formulated UtraChrome inks to produce beautiful images that are bright and accurate and that meet professional standards.

A 2,800 x 1,440 dpi maximum resolution delivers ultra-detailed prints suitable for a wide range of applications, while print speeds run from 8 square feet to 192 square feet per hour. Designed for heavy-duty printing applications, the 7600 offers borderless prints up to 24 inches wide and supports single roll and cut sheet media with 12 lb. bond up to 1.5 mm cardboard weight. An built-in media cutter has both automatic and manual settings, with a cutter life of approximately 2,000 times (coated media).

The 7-color print head configuration delivers droplet sizes of as small as 4 picoliters, while the UtraChrome inks have a lightfastness of up to 100 years. The 7600 connects to your computer via standard USB and parallel ports, or optional FireWire or 10/100 BaseT Ethernet via an expansion slot. Both Mac and PC operating platforms are supported.

The best there is
I have several photo printers. Epson 1200 w/ photo grey inks (for b&w work), 1270 for color, HP photo printer, then I got this. Brilliant gamut, waterproof inks. The only thing I wish it had was cheaper inks. Everyone I print for loves the prints.

Buy the SE instead, added software is obsolete
I found this was a wonderful scanner. My only complaint is I paid about [amount] more than the SE model for the extra software and discovered all were obsolete and not the full versions. The OCR software was useless, and if you read the Amazon reivews you will find there is a better package from another company.
I did not purchase the fireware adapter but will soon since to speed things up. My advice is buy the SE model instead, and purchase the software on your own.

THE BEST for Epson Photo Printers
Simply put, if you have an Epson photo inkjet printer, you need to be using this paper. I've experimented with the Kodak and HP premium photo papers, and neither one of them can match the print quality of using Epson paper with Epson ink in an Epson printer. I believe it all comes down to a compatibility issue and differences between the papers and inks of the different manufacturers. Even though everyone says their products are compatible with the others, you just don't achieve the same image quality. Buy the product that was designed for your system, if you have Epson stay with Epson, use Kodak paper with a Kodak printer, and the same goes for HP. ... Read more
