Buy these, save $1000's
In theory, these batteries will save you at least $1,000. They cost about $30 with the charger and you can charge them up to 1000 times. If a set of regular batteries costs $4, that savings equals $3,000 over the lifetime of the product. Well, i can't imagine using regular batteries ever again.

If i can only charge these 500 times, that's good enough for me.

I bought these batteries because i use my CD walkman regularly - every day to and from work. That is the only piece of equipment i own that i use batteries for really. These particular rechargables last longer than Rayovac rechargables, and definitely last longer than Alkaline consumables, making the savings to you even higher.

If you own ANYthing that takes batteries that you change 10 times a year, BUY THESE!!! You will save money, frustration, the environment and time.

I bought the 4 pack, my walkman uses 2, so i just switch them out once every 10 days, at this rate i can't imagine buying a new set for 7 years. Hmmm...that seems strange but what seems stranger is the thought of buying non-chargables. So even people with minimum usage for batteries will save money. If you have more than 1 person in your house, i can't see going without, you would be throwing you money down the drain.

Their are several styles of chargers for the ACCu series. A large one for various styles of batteries, a compact for AA & AAA batteries, another Compact for AA NIMH or NICA. I have the last one, it is small and cute and people always ask me about it, then i just start raving.

The only problem i see is that it does take over 10 hours at first and for a full charge, but that is no big deal. Buy an extra set of two if you frequenly need them right away.

great batteries!
these batteries are great and are not that expensive. they will last you up to 1,000 charges. this is all i use. i never buy regular batteries anymore because these batteries will last a long time. it powered one of my sony atrac cd player for more than what it was supposed to last. with regular batteries, the cd player lasted as long as advertised, about 75 hours but with these batteries, it lasted about 8 more hours! if you want them to be charged quicker, they sell a 30 minute charger and it is awesome.

kids toys!!
these are great for kids toys as well as the digital cameras! we have a 1 hour charger that charges each battery to what it needs so all the kids have to wait is at most 1 hour to return to their toys! we have them in the cordless controlers for our playstartion and also in the sponge bob atari game they work GREAT!!

Great $$ saver, but know what you're getting before you buy!
The reason I say this, is because the picture appears to be of 1200 mAh rated batteries. They now have 2100 mAh Energizers. I wouldn't buy ANY brand batteries less than this. The higher the rating, the longer they'll last in-between charges.

I've seen 2050 mAh, 1850, and others below 2100 mAh in the stores. Shop carefully and get the most for your money.

Bottom line: I am highly pleased with my Engergizer NI-MH chargers and batteries.

PS: Someone below noted that they keep the plastic piece from the battery pack to store their batteries in. I do too - since it'll help keep track of which batteries you've drained and which are fully charged when you're out on a photo shoot outing. I only added one improvement - I glued small velco tabs so the batteries won't spill out on me and into my camera bag.

The Marathon Bunny
If the original Energizer AA alkaline battery is The Bunny, a digital camera is a hungry wolverine, devouring 2 or 4 of them li'l guys at a time and spitting out an empty shell after just 20 to 50 pictures. Makes you wonder why every digital camera doesn't have a big sticker on the box screaming "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, USE NiMH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES!!"

The latest generation of Energizer Rechargeable batteries will outrun Energizer alkaline and lithium by miles, and come back for more after a trip to the recharger. With a whopping 2100 mAh output, they'll keep your digital camera fat and happy on a single charge provided you let them "cook" for at least 24 hours on the first charge. After that, use 'em as little or as much as you want and store them in the charger between uses.

As a "thrash" test, I charged a pair for 24 hours, removed them from the charger for another 24 hours and installed them in a Vivitar ViviCam 3746 3.1 megapixel digital camera. After taking over 100 pictures with both the flash and the LCD display switched on, the battery meter never dipped to the "time to recharge" mark. Remember, NiMH batteries aren't like those old NiCd batteries from way back in the 1990s. You never have to "drain" them regularly nor do you have to take them out of the charger to prevent overcharging.

The recloseable package provides a handy pocket pack for carrying a spare pair (if your digital camera uses 2 batteries), so the smartest way to use them is to buy 2 4-packs. Leave one set in the charger and take the other set when you head out for a day trip. On vacations, take along the charger and both sets of batteries.
