If only a little more comfortable...
these headphones are wonderful especially for the price - if the earpieces were just a little softer for those of us who wear them for extended walks and commutes, they would be perfect - soundwise, no complaints at all!

Best microphone I ever used
In searching for a headset to overcome my bad soundcard for voice recognition, this is the only one that worked. And it is the most comfortable one I've used too!

OK sound but very flimsy
The sound quality of the Earhugger headset is fine; I hear things fine through it, and whoever I'm talking to can (usually) hear me clearly. But it feels really "flimsy" when I'm wearing it; as if it's going to fall off much of the time. And because it doesn't go on that securely (despite my having an average-sized ear), I have to wrestle a lot with the boom microphone to get it in a good position, each time I put it on.

Once you get it on and position it properly, and if you don't move around much (you can't recline or lay on your back, for example, without it feeling like it'll fall off), it's comfortable and the sound is good. But it's a little too much work to get there . . . I've found far better headsets since buying this one.

Go one way or the other
If you're going to buy a headset for your telephone I recommend paying $10 or $40 but not this middling model. At the low end the AT&T 90800 is cheap and works very well -- the sound quality is good and it is relatively comfortable.

However, if you are going to spend time with this, the Plantronics M175 by far worth the additional expense. Much more invisible from the stand point of the user (you completely forget its on your head) and the listener on the other end. I have them both and switch to the Plantronics unit when I know it is going to be a long call or I going to be moving about. ... Read more

Great quality for a reasonable price
I had been looking for a good pair of headphones for a reasonable price for a long time when I happened to try these headphones in a CD shop. (The shop was using them to allow customers to listen to used CDs before buying.)

I have tried every conceivable type of headphones costing less than $20 around: the Sony stick-in-your-ear style, the original Walkman style, the ear bud style, the Panasonic clip-to-the-ear, etc. There is something wrong with the sound quality for each of those types.

These headphones only cost a little more, but the quality is much better. I believe that this is due to two factors: the neodymium magnets, resulting in better bass and treble, and the behind-the-head style which keeps the speakers closer to your ears, allowing you to hear all the sound.

There is one disadvantage to these headphones for me: I wear glasses, and the headphones pinch my ears against the eyeglass frames. To get around this I just sit the eyeglass earpieces on top of the speakers.

I'm not associated in any way with EarHugger, Amazon, or anybody else that has anything to do with these headphones. I'm just an ordinary customer.
