4-0 out of 5 stars A very good solution for mounting your iPod
The Belkin Tunedock achieves exactly what it sets out to do - provide a solid, flexible mounting solution for your iPod, iPod Mini or XM Radio (there are multiple versions of the 'dock). The color of the iPod mount is off-white - closer to grey really. The XM mount is black.

The unit comes with a series of mounting cups that provide the base that fits into your cupholder.A stem then screws into the base. The mounting platform is attached to the top of the stem. The screw-in nature of the stem allows you to provide some degree of height adjustment and the mounting platform itself pivots to whatever angle works best for your mounting position.

I was seeking a simple solution for mounting my iPod and XM Radio and did not want to take apart my dash or drill into something in order to achieve it.My cupholders are located in the dash, just above the radio in my 2001 VW Jetta. For me, the location is perfect and the 'docks hold their units firmly and stiffly enough that you can push a button or turn a wheel without having to steady the mount. The "cable management" clips on the backsides of the mounts are fair, but it would be better if you could clip them closed (they are open at one end).

If you are looking for an "elegant" solution, this is probably not the mount for you.The grey/white matches my interior, but really, I have radios sticking out of the front of my dash in the cupholders - this is not about looks.Note that the picture shown here is of the mount for the regular iPod - not the Mini - there is a slight difference in that there is no suction cup for the Mini version - but instead it is a stiff, but flexible rubber that secures your mini from both sides (the width is also perfect for holding my cell phone when I don't have the mini mounted).

Another commentator criticized this mount because it got in the way of his shifting.I suppose he could just as well write a bad review about his car for the same reason. Before you buy these, you should also really think about where your cupholders are located. If the location is marginal, or hard to reach, or requires you to run wires where you don't want to run wires then find something else. The unit does exactly what it sets out to do - allows you to mount your iPod from your cupholder.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good concept, poor execution
The idea behind this product is good, but the actual product is less than ideal. The appearance is cheap and the configuration of pieces that I had to use with my particular car made it look homemade. If your cup holders are shallow (an inch deep or so) and of a certain diameter you must use the base with an adapter cup that makes the setup look silly. This configuration also sticks up too far. If you have a manual shift car with cup holders near the gear shift, be warned that you may find yourself hitting your iPod with the gearshift/your hand. Also the color is a dishwater grey -- not exactly appealing. Overall, a disappointment in looks and performance.

5-0 out of 5 stars stability for your tunes
No more will you fumble for your mini as you hit a speed bump or pothole and your iPod goes flying across the car. The Tunedock comes with 3 cup sizes to accommodate nearly every car cup holder on the market of varying sizes to ensure your iPod is always accessible to you while driving. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to install in Windows XP
I recieved the card yesterday. Today I got up early and installed the card in 10 minutes. As soon as I turned the computer on, Windows XP recognized the card and the digital camcorder it was attached to it. The transfer of video was smooth an easy just using Microsoft Windows Movie Maker 2. I still have to get and install a more powerfull video production software, but I believe it will work great. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Used by a computer tech for 3 years
This is the kit the company I work for bought for the computer support technicians. It is more of a general electronics tool kit than the specialized computer tool kits Belkin offers, but I have found plenty of uses for the kit outside of the office (but don't tell my boss that). I've been using the kit for 3 years now, and the only thing that is not original is the flashlight - that is the only really cheap thing in the kit - get a Mini-Mag to replace it and you'll be fine. This kit includes an allen wrench set, mini pocket screwdriver, small diagonal cutters, long nose pliers, wire stripper, mini-screwdriver set, 6" extended phillips bit, pen knife, IC chip remover, tweezers, soldering iron with solder and wick, parts retriever and a ratcheting screwdriver with standard, phillips, torx, and square bits and both metric and standard sockets with a socket bit. I've used this kit on PC computers, laptops, wiring of all sorts, electronics repairs, home repairs, etc. All the tools (with the exception of the flashlight) have survived 3 years of use and are still going strong. The only other casualty has been the elastic in the case in some spots. Overall a very good general electronics took kit and far better than all the other "computer tool kits" that I've ever owned - some costing just as much with tools that didn't last a year of lighter use. Spend the few extra dollars and get a Belkin tool kit - the 36-piece computer tool kit, the "kitchen sink" 65-piece too kit, or this excellent, more general purpose 55-piece tool kit. I am confident that you'll be as pleased with it as I have been over the years. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great egronomic keyboard -- it eliminated my wrist pain!
I was looking an ergonomic keyboard because of ongoing wrist pain. I wanted a black keyboard that would match my mouse, monitor, and ThinkPad laptop. The only one I found that met both requirements was the Black Ergoboard by Belkin. I was surprised by the reasonable price and pleased with the "proper" key layout (unlike some other ergonomic keyboards). Although the keyboard looks a bit strange in the Amazon picture, it looks much more conventional when sitting on a desk in front of a monitor.

I was a bit surprised by the fact that it tilts by raising the edge of the keyboard closest to me because every keyboard I'd seen tilted by raising the side closest to the monitor. I gave the tilt feature a try anyway and was very pleased. As it turns out, the reverse tilt places much less strain on your wrists, especially in the carpel tunnel area, because your wrists are not bent at all when typing. The wrist supports are very solid and the keyboard is well constructed overall.

After using this keyboard everyday at work for about 3 weeks, the pain along the outside edge of right wrist completely disappeared! I've now been using this keyboard for over a year with no pain at all. If you require a USB connection, buy this keyboard use a PS2 to USB adapter instead of looking for a different keyboard. This is an outstanding product!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Buy

5-0 out of 5 stars A $9.99 4 port-router what else you ask for?
I spent $9.99 at MicroCenter in Chicago. Good product, great price and easy to install.
I've checked the previous previews about this products and it seems like a lot people are not satisfied with it's functions. I just use it as a very basic router. No other fancy functions I need. Only turn on the web-base alternative to do some firewall settings. So far it works fine and it's a no-brainer installation process.
For a $9.99 product, I highly recommend and give it 5 stars. Unless you want to more with it like those who left negative reviews, you probably have to have bigger wallet.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Value, Overall a Good Router as well
Although some people may say that setting up this router on Windows XP is difficult, it is actually easier to set up than one thinks. People say that setting up the internet is easy, but then setting up communication between users is difficult. however, all you have to do is edit a few settings in the Local Area Network. First, turn off the Windows firewall. Then, go to Network Connections> Local Area Connection> Properties> Advanced> WINS, and under NetBIOS setting, select" Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP. This should clear a path for the network to share between computers. Overall, this router is a good deal, and I have had no problems with the internet connection.

2-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable
I've had this router in its previous incarnation for about 18 months. I've finally gotten fed up and I'm replacing it. It constantly needs to be rebooted and it's a total pain. I echo all of the other negative reviews here. Next time I'm buying Linksys.

5-0 out of 5 stars good tool
After so many months of use, I could say this router is right on the money. I had to restart it maybe once a month or less, though the root cause might have been the DSL modem. It's been working well in a mixed environment--different OSes, card adapters, etc.. For those of you who have PPPoE networks, this router works indeed very well (INSTALL INCLUDED). Get as fast as you can to the web interface and drive things from there--security, firmware updates, monitoring, etc. And now, a word of caution: do not trust 100% the built-in firewall. There have indeed been 5 or 6 attacks, over 9 months of use, detected by the software firewall I kept. So, to address this issue, keep all firewalls running and up to date. As for the price, people around speak of all kinds of coupons/rebates. Unless you have the option to wait, get it right away and see the difference!

2-0 out of 5 stars Unusable Piece of Frozen Turd
The price tag (ten dollars after mail in rebate) was what attracted me to replace my aging, failing 1-port router, but in the end it hardly made a difference.

Good news first, the router is nice and sleek looking, albeit slightly large for what it is. It comes packaged neatly and comes with an optional stand so you can place the router on its side. Set-up was a breeze, in my case literally plug-and-play. My cable internet uses DHCP to assign settings, which is default on the router, so I was sharing my internet connection over my home network in less than a few minutes.

The router seems to have plenty of options and settings for a basic system: web-based admin access, a simple firewall, port router/filter, amongst other things. For accessing the internet and sharing files and printers it was more than sufficient.

However, I seem to have the same problem a few other reviewers have: the router inexplicably locks up, in my case 3-10 times a week, and requires a power cycle (unplug it, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in, wait a minute for it to boot) to get anything on the network working again. Belkin offers no support, and hasn't released a new firmware at all (still on version 1.00, I don't know why there's even an "update firmware" button on the admin control panel).

There are times I'll turn on my computer and try to access the internet and realize the router locked up. There are also times I'm right in the middle of browsing and then the router will lock up. After eight months of putting up with this, the hunk of junk is going out the window. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Sleek no more
i just put my new ipod in this thing. my once sleek , cool looking mp3 player is now this big fat chunky thing in my pocket. i don't think belkin quite got the idea here. it attaches to the ipod with a plastic suction cup. that's laughable. it got two stars cause instead of one cause it does protect the ipod. i sure wish someone would make one that maintains the "sleek" though.

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty good
When i first got my ipod, i didnt think i would really need a case until I saw how fragile it was. so i came on amazon and bought this case. it is good. i would give it 5 starts if you could use the ipod buttons while its in the case, but tahts not a real problem for me ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good on OS X
Although there's no documentation about OS X, it's simple to set this thing up (in 10.3.3): just open the Keyboard & Mouse preferences, choose Bluetooth, and click "Set up new device..." and push the connect button on the bottom of the mouse.

And while there's no OS X support for the third (thumb) button, you're still a right-click and a scroll wheel ahead of Apple's own Bluetooth mouse offering... for less money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Macintosh OSX Compatibility
Zero documentation for installation and setup on Mac -- I had to download a PDF from their website and ultimately email Belkin Tech Support for help.

Once I got the mouse basically working, I asked them how to configure the various buttons. Out of the box, the side button does nothing. Belkin told me "We don't have any special software to program the buttons but you may be able to find a third-party application"!! Clearly their Mac OSX support is an afterthought. My advice: Wait and buy one that really IS compatible. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars More like a child's toy.
I guess I shouldn't be complaining about it since I got mine as a gift, but I figured I share my opinion so others won't make this mistake.
First things firs when my set finally arrived and I opened the carrying case every single tool just fell out (non of them were strapped in place), after getting it all together I realized that two parts were missing (pen knife and Phillips screwdriver). Since It was a gift I can't really return it so I kept an incomplete set.
After looking threw all the tools I realized that all of them were rather poorly made and very low quality (no offense but when I hold a tool in my hand I want it to feel like a tool not a plastic toy), not to mention that the whole thing looks like it's been used. I really had a nice laugh about a little flash lite that comes with it, it's so cheep it doesn't even have an On/Off button you have to loosen the top portion so that the battery doesn't touch the bulb to turn it off. The soldering iron burned out after first use, so I had to replace it right away.
A couple of pieces were really unnecessary. The Cotton Swabs are good I guess if you get an itch in your ear while working. Same thing with the cleaning wipes, you can use them if you wonna take a lunch brake from work and wipe off your hands. The wire stripers I replaced right away, you actually need a screw driver to set it to different cable sizes (since it's almost impossible to set them to the right size you always end up cutting the wire or not being able to strip it).
Finally the Vinyl Carrying Case is Big and Bulky (like one of them all in one encyclopedias), I really think they could of remove some of them unnecessary stuff and make the case more portable. Did I mention that the batteries were also missing?
In conclusion if you're even thinking about buying this product GO TO THE STORE AND TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT IT, MAKE SURE ALL THE STUFF IS IN THERE. The picture above is way too small to see how it all looks like, so if you buy this online be ready to be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tool kit ever owned by a computer tech
This has been the best tool kit I've used in 5 years of fixing computers. The only bad thing I can say about it is the flashlight is really cheap and broke within a few days. A Mini-Mag fit in the same spot and that is the ONLY item that is not original in 3 years of use (aside from consumables like the cotton swabs and cleaning wipes). The rest of the tools are good quality and are all usable. The ratching screwdriver has seen 3 years of hard use and is still going strong, and let me tell you that I certainly haven't been using this kit to just fix computers. I recently had to give the kit back to my work (changed jobs) and I can tell you that this is DEFINATELY on the top of my wish list. This is the deluxe kit that has near everything: Allen wrenches, ratchet screwdriver, parts retriever, anti-static wrist bands, anti-static cleaning wipes, cotton swabs, flashlight, IC extractor, mini vacuum cleaner, long nose pliers, pen knife, tweezers, mini screwdriver set, soldering iron w/solder and wick, canned air, wire cutter, wire stripper, even a small bits organizer with useful items like jumpers, and all the bits you could need - standard, phillips, torx, square, and sockets in both standard and metric. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Buy a Belkin, Go Insane
The power and sleep buttons are the same size and height regular keys which make them easy to bump when using navigation keys or number pad. Almost all Belkin keyboards are like this. I'd bump them even when reaching for something on my desk and I'd lose hours of stupidly unsaved work. Waiting for your computer to start up again isn't fun either. Other times I'd bump the sleep button, which was less disastrous, but just as infuriating. Adding insult to injury, the power button would not turn the computer back on or wake it. I finally ended up taking a hammer to it. Funny, now that it's in a thousand peices, it still works as well as when I first got it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Does not curve upwards like MS Natural Keyboard
I looked at this keyboard in a store and discoverd that while it is called "ergonomic", it is flat. It doesn't curve up in the middle like ergonomic keyboards from Microsoft and Logitech. You can't tell this from the pictures on Amazon. However, the Belkin Ergoboard Pro does curve, but as I write this it is not for sale on Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
Although, being honest, I should admit that it's my first ergonomic keyboard, but I had a chance to use all kinds of other regular keyboards for more that 14 years of my computer-related experience. You must know that this keyboard appears to be highly reliable (so far), it's not light, it does have a very convenient key layout and a good key action. It's not noisy, not too easy or too hard to press. And yes, it does look cool. I never had an ergo keyboard before, because I don't believe in low-quality and overpriced MS products. Also, Logitech keyboards and too expensive and I never liked black keybaords, which Logitech somehow prefers to offer.
Belkin products usually offer a great value and reasonable quality (often their quality is higher-than-average), and this keyboard is no exception. It comes with a PS/2 to AT adapter ($5-8 value), which is necessary for users of older desktop systems or for those who use older types of keyboard extension cables.
Everyone in my household now wants one like mine, so I will probably order three more ErgoBoards. Also the Pro version should be considered by those who want a USB hub.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good Keyboard
I would rate this keyboard 5 stars if it doesn't came with the annoying power key (on the top right hand side). Other than this, everything else is pretty good. The keys of this board are very crisp, not sticky like many other cheap ones I tried. The arm rest is also comfortable.
I have used many ergo designed keyboards before, such as Keyboards from Microsoft, Lite-on, Micro Innovations, Logitech, ...etc. But out of all them, I like this Belkin one the most due to its performance and price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard
I have this keyboard in black at the office and in white at home. It's comfortable and the 6 key is in the proper place. Don't presume that because it's a cheap price that it is not worth it. It's a great keyboard and I would buy it again. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Good Key Action
First, the good:
* all the keys are full-sized - none of those pipsqueak arrow keys
* the function keys have not been remapped to different default actions (gimme back my function keys, Microsoft!)
* almost all keys are in the places they should be

The not-so-good:
There are Wake, Sleep, and Power keys in the space normally occupied by Scroll Lock and Co., which have been moved down into where one expects to find Insert, Home, and Page Up. Basically everything above the arrow keys has been moved down one row, which causes me to frequenly hit the wrong key.

The worst thing about it, though, is that the keys are difficult to depress. They take a little extra force than that to which I am accustomed, which puts extra strain on my wrists. This defeats the purpose of buying an ergonomic keyboard. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Holster, ABsolutely lousy clip
I recently upgraded to a 3G iPod. When I saw this, I thought it would be the perfect solution for those people who actually USE their iPod, not bury it in a case. If you're worried about scratches all the time, I doubt you are enjoying the music much. This would allow for easy access and quick connection connections. It would also double as a quick and easy car holder.

I received the holster and slid the iPod in. Perfect fit to my slim 3G. Excellent so far. Nice fit and quality, great grip. Then I clipped the holder on the clip. A little loose on the fit I thought. Then I squeezed the clip. It shattered. No, it wasn't cold. Room temp. The sides just cracked and the clip broke into 4 pieces. First squeeze. Upon close examination, it is made from the ultra brittle plastic you see on the cheap import cell phone cases. The ones in Wal-Mart for pennies on the dollar?

Hard to believe Belkin would make such a nice holster and then supply the cheapest clip they could find. A total failure. By the way, I dug out an old Nokia clip I had that had been in use for 2+ years every day until I retired the phone. The clip is very loose with this Belkin as the knob on the case is smaller than that on most cell phone case.

Big drag. ... Read more
