1-0 out of 5 stars PIECE OF JUNK!
Do not buy this CD case! I have this and the center piece broke after about a month. It's not made strong enough to hold the weight. It's difficult to zip up, too. Go with Fellowes instead.

3-0 out of 5 stars Compact, good sleeves but not of exceptional quality
I bought this binder because its large capacity, it's visually appealing with soft and compact sleeves for the CDs. But after heavily using it for over a year, I think this binder was not done well enough for 200 CDs. Three plastic rods that kept all of the pages in place got broken; they really should have been made of metal. In addition, I agree with a previous post, the pages should be detachable, esp. for such a large CD collection

3-0 out of 5 stars Great...but
This binder is great, and I am organizing my complete CD collection with it.

But, I originally bought it because I was using other CD-Projects holders--the ones that have individual sleeves for each CD.

So I bought the binder assuming I could pop my other CD-Projects sleeves right in the binder. Wrong! The binder uses a special page that holds four sleeves, and is not interchangable with the other CD-Projects holders.

Attention CD-Projects! Can't you just use one type of sleeve for all of your products?

4-0 out of 5 stars GOOD ORGANIZER
cdProjects (now part of Targus) is a maker of fine CD and DVD organizers. I liked this one because of its huge capacity - 208 discs. The quality is excellent, and a big pocket on the front for extra storage. This binder is organized by pages, with 8 discs per page (4 on each side), and the pages are not removeable. So unlike most of their other products which have sleeves or pages that can be removed, this binder is static. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this case!!
This is the best CD storage system I have ever found. I have 6 cases and the table top holder. I can switch the sleeves out for road trips or when I lose interest. I even use a small one in my office to hold software CD-ROMs. I highly recommend getting a few. I have not had any trouble with the sleeves falling out like other reviews mentioned. It's a good price and the storage is flexible.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good outside, Bad inside
The outside case seems well constructed and looks very good, but inside the individual cd envelopes may be removable by feature but they do not like to stay in on their own accord. Every time I flip through the case one or two fall out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Steel/Secure/Organized/Beautiful/Big
Let me start by saying that I use this for my DVD collection. The description says that holds 60 but in fact only holds 44! Let me explain: When I open the case there were in fact enough sleeves to hold 60 but when I was done loading all my dvd's the case woudn't close completely:( so I had to remove a few sleeves so the case could close. I only got to fit 44 dvd's! I have so many dvd's that I had to buy 6 more of this to fit my collection and I'm planning to buying more because my collection is expanding quickly. I don't complain that it fits very few dvd's in every case but it's an alternative for those of us who lack of space to place our growing collection. I gave this case 5 stars because I liked it eventhought I can't fit as much dvd as I want in each case but I trust the sleeves and the case to secure my collection from damage and scratches that other organizers can cause.

2-0 out of 5 stars WOULDN'T RECOMMEND
Doesn't open easily, Sleeves are flimsy and difficult to load.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sturdy
Sturdy, well designed, breathing filter in top of case, most who see it want one like it. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars sleeve hole breaks
While they look great, the sleeves tend to break and tear near their binding. This causes the sleeves to fall out, which really defeats the purpose of a CD case. It looks great in the store but the real life functionality is only a 3/10.
Go with something that is really bound or has rings. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Dont listen to the guy below!
Some Guy in Seattle complained that the pages pulled out of the book. THAT'S THE POINT!!! The pages are removable, and interchangable with their home storage units and other portable units. Keep them in the sleeves at home, when you want to grab CDs for the car, they snap out of the home system and fit into the portable case. Its a super-convenient way to carry CDs between home, office, and car.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
Holds CDs well.
Very vibrant color.
Sort of hard to put things in the pouch. I still like it.
Hard to use strap. Broke of in a week.
Haven't used warranty yet.
Good cost.

CD Case - 3.6/5

1-0 out of 5 stars The last review you'll ever have to read
I'm giving it a one because it looks nice, has a carrying strap, and the rating don't go any lower. It might work well for a few weeks but soon it'll start to get on your nerves. The top and bottom flip seprately which is just stupid. Also the actual sleeves are removable, which is also stupid. Eventually the sleeves will just start to fall out. Don't bother reading the other reviews, just turn back now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of Budget Junk
What can I say, you get what you pay for. Going for the budget route (this case being on sale at the time) I picked this up after reading some decent reviews. Here it goes, first gripe, the book doesn't fold and flatter then it appears in the picture above due to some strange spine design idea. This may not seem all that important at first, but believe me, after a month or so, of wrestling with this thing you too will get sick of it. Also, the pages are removable AKA THEY FALL OUT WHEN SLIGHTLY JOSTLED! VERY bad idea... The slips the CDs go in have no top cover, as they just slide in which means if transported to roughly, they slide OUT as well... A few other things I found out that bugged me, but if you still are planning on purchishing this product, i'll let you find those out on your own. STRONGLY do not recomend, spend the few extra dollars to get a quality CD case, its worth it in the long run.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Choice
There are two problems with this cd case that one could have. However neither of them bothered me all that muching that the cd case does not open all the way as someone else mentioned. But this gets better with time, and if you care more about cd safety than easy acess this should not be a problem.
Second, the zippers do not close all the way, but i guess i just like zippers closed, mybe im just being picky. Otherwise i like it. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Thumbs down to CD PROJECTS
BUYERS BEWARE: my CD PROJECTS cd case ruined my cd's! when i tried to contact the company about their faulty product, they were entirely unhelpful. awful product, awful customer service. not recommended!

3-0 out of 5 stars Hard to Handle
I thought I'd try CDProjects out after reading about them, and bought a couple of their products, but I dislike how they don't open all the way, and how difficult they can be to handle when trying to get at your CDs.

CDProject wallets aren't a good choice for people who just want to lay them down on a table like a book and flip through their CD collection. Mainly because they won't lay flat like a book! Awful design decision.

I rated it 3 stars because the wallet is attractive and well-made, but I won't buy a CDProjects wallet again, unless they fix the problems with how they open (or how they don't open all the way to be more accurate).

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but one major flaw ...
cdProjects makes nice cases, except for one thing ... they don't lay flat when open! Due to the spine design, the case only naturally wants to open about as far as is shown in the picture of the case Amazon shows at the top of this page. It *will* open further if you apply pressure to the front and back covers, but that is a very awkward and annoying operation to have to perform while also trying to carefully insert or remove a CD.

It's unfortunate, because the construction of the cdProjects case and the CD sleeves are otherwise excellent. But Case Logic cases are also very nice, and they lay flat when open, which makes searching for and inserting/removing CDs much easier.

I'll be sticking with Case Logic in the future.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better...
I just purchased the 92-capacity wallet. It's very roomy and built tough. I'm sure it'll last me forever. My gripe with it is in the fact that you can't open it and lay it flat. It will not stay open on its own, making putting in or taking out CD's a pain. You have to hold it open with one hand while trying to figit with the CD sleaves with the other. Overall, it's tough and will protect your CD's nicely, but you might want to shop around first. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Use & Abuse
I'm a DJ From Northeastern Pennsylvania. I use binders alot, have purchased many different brands, and for the price, these CD Project Binders are definetly the best I've run across. I personally have 2 of this variety of binder and it has held up for over 3 years of usage about 5 days a week...I would personally and greatly recommend this particular binder for anyone who wants value for a low cost.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mine Has Lasted Despite Abuse
I've had mine a long time. I needed two more binders. One to add new disks, and another to replace a bad binder that I want to chuck out. I looked on the cover of my best binder - the one that has lasted the longest and it was CDPROJECTS. The one I am trashing was from Skoshie or something. Yeah the rings are plastic on the CDPROJECTS but you know what, the handset on my deskset phone is plastic too and I can hammer a 6d nail with it. And the zipper has never played "hide n seek" with me or "tug of war" either.

If you loaded it with 128 disks, kept it in a hot car, let the dog sit on it, and never closed the zipper... then maybe, just maybe it would wear down. I've been burnt by a lot of crappy products out there but have never been burned twice. The fact that I am a return buyer is a good testimony.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent - Highly Recommended!
This CD case is great. Holds tons of CDs, looks good too... not boring black like every other CD case. I got it as a gift 2 years ago, and it's held up fine... still looks brand new. The person who said that this case is awful must have gotten a defective one or something; mine's completely full, and nothing has ever broken or "malfunctioned," so to speak. The top flaps work fine, although a bit annoying for CDs you frequently use. However, you can easily get around this by just leaving it behind the CD and not pulling it over. Since mine's full, I'm going to buy a new case soon, and it will most definitely be this brand, it's held up far better then any other case I've owned.

1-0 out of 5 stars LOUSY design, not built to last
The external surface, zipper closing, and actual, individual CD pockets in this binder are fine. However, the individual CD pockets have a plastic flap above them that's supposed to flip over and cover the CD which aren't quite sized right -- it is very hard to flip the flap over, and the plastic rumples.

Also, the internal structure is poorly designed and the pins that hold it all together are made of plastic, not metal. The first night I got this I began, gently, putting in CDs, and when I had about 80 CDs in the binder, one of the plastic pegs holding the binder pages together cracked. I don't think it could reliably hold 128 CDs, and would not recommend this product to anyone. The older Radio Shack CD binder I picked up years ago is much better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very useful product
I remember I bought my first CD album for about 12USD. The first thing happend, when I opened it in my home to store in my CD collection was, that the middle part had broke. I immediately return the product. So when I was buying this one, I was looking for different kind of characteristics, at all I was checking the material the cd album is made. Very well made, the bubble sleeve "technology" that amazinlgy reduce surface contact and this way protecting your cds. what's really cool that you can attach & dettach the sleeves, so if you have another small cdProject unit and you want to take only some cds to your trip or borrow it to your friend, by simple dettach of a sleeve it's done, you don't have move around all your cds. ...
