5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Way better than the Case Logic products where you can't see the dvd from behind the cover insert page. Great stuff, I continue to buy more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Way to Store DVD's Around
This is one product that is worth every cent. I was getting sick of all my DVD cases taking up shelf space. More often than not my DVD's were in 10 places because I take them with me when I travel. I was getting aggrevated opening a case, finding a blank spot and not having a clue where the DVD was. This case is great because it holds the books also and provides an easy way to keep track of all DVD's in one area. I liked my first case so much that I have bought a second and a third.
Some other reviews have mentioned it's cheap vinyl look...don't be fooled. I'm a college student and this has been with me on airplanes, the car, my dorm, my friends rooms (which often eat things), charter buses to football games, etc. I've had mine for two years and it still looks new!

5-0 out of 5 stars The only product to consider
Okay, I admit that this binder is a little pricy. My only other complaint is that for those DVDs that come in the cardboard case the cover doesn't fit in the sleeve.

That said, this binder is perfect for me. Since a lot of DVDs now come with a bonus disk, the two sleeves per page is optimal. The fact that the pages are removable make it easy to rearrange disks to keep them in alpabetical order.

These binders take up far less room on my shelf than a stack of cases would. The faux-leather finish is nice, but I'm not sure how durable it would be if you were to carry these around like you would a CD case.

I highly recommend this product. I use it to store my X-BOX games as well.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cheap Product
Everything about this DVD holder is flimsy. The cover has the texture and feel of cheap vinyl waiting to tear. The inner pages are composed of flimsy plastic pockets that look like they will rip loose after a short time of use. I give the physical, practical use a 2 and the presentation of the holder a 1. Having received mine in the mail today I would now, not pay anything for this product. The only way I would own another is if it were given to me as a gift.

4-0 out of 5 stars above average dvd portable storage
I travel every now and then, and have developed a habit of bringing movies along for those long waits during flight changeovers. Have been searching for a dependable portable carry-around for my growing DVD's. Looked at different brands; 'Caselogic' was too expensive (given the number of DVD's it can hold), plus it was rated badly by other amazon reviewers; 'Mainstays' (available at a land store) looks too flimsy. 'cdProjects' came up during a search via Amazon and thot I gave it a shot. It was exactly what i wanted when the package came that I ordered another within the same week. I would given it a 5-star rating but ... the price was higher when i placed my second order -- unbelievable!! given the cost-benefit analysis, i don't think it is more appealing than 'caselogic'. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR YOUR COLLECTION
I'm at both ends of the "CD wallet" spectrum. Years ago I made the switch by purchasing the biggest CD folder manufactured by Case Logic and proceeded to discard my jewel cases (salvaging of course all liner notes, cards, etc., to add as much of a creativity to the relatively simplified format) as I organized and filled it to the gills. Years later I've filled two and now on my third folder (same, largest size) by Case Logic, during which time their engineers were hard at work improving the design. Meanwhile I also bought their smallest wallet on the market for the times I select discs to venture outside the confines of home w/ (that's the main rule if you too make the switch to the folders versus jewel cases -- you can't allow the folder to leave your walls b/c it's now a concentrated and easily targeted piece of yourself that must be protected). That said, my little CD wallet that I took everywhere travelled the continent from coast to coast, acquiring character in the process from cigarette burns, accumulated candle wax, dirt, stickers, tears, and various abuse along those lines, until it came time for a new one. To switch things up in 2002 I went w/ a different brand even though I've had nothing but an excellent experience w/ Case Logic (at one point one of my folders began falling apart so I sent it to Case Logic w/ a letter, and to my delight I found on my step the following week a brand new one -- mailed U.S. Priority at their expense -- that was even bigger w/ the improved binding design). I'm illustrating my commitment to the folder/wallet format and the punishment it endures by my usage. As a criticism I've heard that the continuous slipping in and out of the disks from their sleeves, especially when they get dirty, tends to scratch the disks more so than keeping them in their original jewel cases, but I've found this to be untrue for the most part. OK, well maybe there's some truth to it, but still not nearly as much damage is caused by this than by general lack of care, i.e. allowing them to pile up on one another. The CdProjects sleeve has a patented baby-bubble technology that addresses this tendency to scratch and seems to limit the wear and tear from constant removing and replacing disks from the wallet, which is a design that Case Logic should address. The CdProjects sleeves are removable as well as replaceable, which I've taken advantage of when giving homemade disks away. I've experienced no problems w/ the sleeve's plastic binding becoming stripped and falling out (as noted by another review). The graphic designs by CdProjects are cool, in a trendy variety including zebra, tiger or black patent pleather w/ fire; the latter is the one I chose and still enjoy seeing it as something different from the plain black fabric of my Case Logics. Considering the amount of clutter involved w/ a large CD collection still in its respective jewel cases, the folder/wallet system simplified my life, which is something I'm always in favor of. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Dont listen to the guy below!
Some Guy in Seattle complained that the pages pulled out of the book. THAT'S THE POINT!!! The pages are removable, and interchangable with their home storage units and other portable units. Keep them in the sleeves at home, when you want to grab CDs for the car, they snap out of the home system and fit into the portable case. Its a super-convenient way to carry CDs between home, office, and car.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
Holds CDs well.
Very vibrant color.
Sort of hard to put things in the pouch. I still like it.
Hard to use strap. Broke of in a week.
Haven't used warranty yet.
Good cost.

CD Case - 3.6/5

1-0 out of 5 stars The last review you'll ever have to read
I'm giving it a one because it looks nice, has a carrying strap, and the rating don't go any lower. It might work well for a few weeks but soon it'll start to get on your nerves. The top and bottom flip seprately which is just stupid. Also the actual sleeves are removable, which is also stupid. Eventually the sleeves will just start to fall out. Don't bother reading the other reviews, just turn back now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of Budget Junk
What can I say, you get what you pay for. Going for the budget route (this case being on sale at the time) I picked this up after reading some decent reviews. Here it goes, first gripe, the book doesn't fold and flatter then it appears in the picture above due to some strange spine design idea. This may not seem all that important at first, but believe me, after a month or so, of wrestling with this thing you too will get sick of it. Also, the pages are removable AKA THEY FALL OUT WHEN SLIGHTLY JOSTLED! VERY bad idea... The slips the CDs go in have no top cover, as they just slide in which means if transported to roughly, they slide OUT as well... A few other things I found out that bugged me, but if you still are planning on purchishing this product, i'll let you find those out on your own. STRONGLY do not recomend, spend the few extra dollars to get a quality CD case, its worth it in the long run.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Choice
There are two problems with this cd case that one could have. However neither of them bothered me all that muching that the cd case does not open all the way as someone else mentioned. But this gets better with time, and if you care more about cd safety than easy acess this should not be a problem.
Second, the zippers do not close all the way, but i guess i just like zippers closed, mybe im just being picky. Otherwise i like it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great. Case
I filled up the case the first day I got it. Have had no problem opening it or closing it.. great case, great price.. Kind of big though... but no biggie.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better, could be (alot) worse
Before I start ripping on the case I would like to say that I've had it since June and it's worked great for me, so far. Overall I don't have any (major) complaints. On the other hand, I'm looking to buy a second case now and I will not purchase this one again.

Why? First off, if you attempt to put in 104 CD's it becomes very difficult to fit everything in. For 52 CD's it might be allright, if you alternated the slots that you put the CD's and Jewel art in but if you try to fit in more you're going to have to cram the CD's in each time. I have to admit to abusing the product a bit here, because I fit jewel art AND CD's in each slot, but even if I didn't, the problem would remain (I tried it without just to make sure).

Another problem is that the plastic piece (the front cover) has already started to come loose on the bottom. Of course I have a ton (a full 104 CD's) packed in there, but still.

All in all, it's decent but (probably) not the best.

1-0 out of 5 stars spend a little more to get something better!
DON"T buy this case if you plan to use it a lot. the plastic sleevies have already started to come loose at the bottom of mine- after less than a month, but the MOST annoying aspect is that there is no room in the binder part to allow the pages to lay flat while you are getting a cd which ALSO means that you have to jam a cd & cd booklet thingy into the inside sleevies, causing annoyance... please, please, spend a little more money on a product that wont frustrate you, and will stand up a little better to even minimal wear and tear.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Case I Have Ever Got
I bought this case thinking it would be smaller, but it holds 4 cd on each page. I didnt much care about that though. I also bought a smaller case to put cds in to take to school because this on is to big to fit in my backpack. I love the sleaves to put the cds in though, it has these little felt bubbles so the cd dont get scratched. I have had this case for almost a year and none of my cds have got any scratches. I would recoment this case to evey one. I also think it you dont want a big case I would still git a cd projests case because they are this best.

2-0 out of 5 stars Picture above is misleading!
Be warned if you buy this that it is not as small as it looks! I bought one, expecting a case that i could put in my backpack...however when it arrived it actually holds FOUR cds on each 'page'...its very large. I had to send it back. Overall, the cdprojects cases are great though. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars cdProjects...
I will admit that cdProjects have cool styles for their cases, but that is just about the only cool thing about their cheaply made non-functional cases(aren't you suppose to be able to fit all the cds in the case and be able to zip it shut?). You can not fit 24-cds in a case thats spine is not wide enough to accomidate them. What a piece......cd sleeves fall out and you can't fit anything in it, or even zip it shut when it's empty...If you want good quality cd case, get your money's worth with Case Logic.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Product
Scratches galore, and all of the pages keep falling out, and they are difficult to put back in. Buy something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Hard to Use
Although the steel case certainly provides an extra level of protection for your CDs, I found this product extremely difficult to use. The primary problem is that it doesn't lie flat when opened, which means that it is very difficult to browse through your collection of CDs. This also means that it takes two hands to put in or take out a CD -- one to hold open the page you are working with and the other to slide the CD in or out. Not a very good design.

Unless you are planning on dropping bricks directly on your CD case, a soft-sided CD wallet like the TW-24 from Case Logic is much easier to use and probably provides 95% of the same protection.

4-0 out of 5 stars cheep armor for your expensive disks
I have been using one of these I picked up in a local Staples to carry a collection of playstation disks when we travel. The playstation is indispensible for managing a hyperactive 5 yo on a long minivan trip. The case has taken some dents, but the disks inside, worth several hundred bucks altogether, have remained pristine. Despite getting stomped by toddlers and rambunctious kids and getting knocked around with the luggage in the back of the van, it still snaps open and shut just fine.

Cosmetically, not the coolest, but functionally a good investment.

5-0 out of 5 stars This case rocks!
I bought my first steel case just out of curiosity. Then I was hooked! It saves space, it's really tough and a lot lighter than carrying 11 jewel cases. If you're a frequent traveler, this is the best way to protect your CDs, period.

1-0 out of 5 stars CD Projects Steel Case is bad
This case does not travel well. In fact it stinks! It has one set of hinges on the back and none on the sides or front, so when it takes an impact it bends off center. The sleeves are hard plastic and disintegrated. Maybe it was too cold inside my suitcase in the belly of an airplane, but it did not even survive one trip. I am a frequent flyer and this is JOTS. (Junk on the street).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great CD Protector
I bought this product because of its small size, but later on I found that this little case saved me so much money. The case had an accident and was crushed. To tell you the truth, it was ruined, but it kept all of my cd's safe and they didn't even get a scratch. I would recommend anyone to buy this great product. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Oh, so that is the deal, silly me...
All this time, I've been complaining about this CD case because it is so difficult to take the CDs out of each patented bubblesleeve page. You can fit two CDs on each page.

Now, after reading here that the sleeves clip in and out! Who knew. Sure, I didn't check before. So, sure, then it is much easier to get the darn CD out of the page.

The problem I was having was getting the box to open enough so you could take CDs in and out of the pages. Frankly, taking the actual page OUT of the box is easier. Enlightenment.

The inside of the case is most plush with a velvet lining.
This snaps shut and has ELEVEN (not twelve as in the notes avove) pages with room for 22 CDs OR 11 CDs and the booklets.

So, it seems if you want to move your CDs around a bit here and there or make up specific cases of various selections, this might be for you.

I'm sitting here feeling sad I ever threw the CD cases away. But hey, everyone does something stupid once in their lives.

Recommended for the patient soul who wants their CDs to be well protected. Durable and stackable and travel well.

Yeah, they look pretty neat too. All sparkly like silver glitter nail polish.

4-0 out of 5 stars overall pretty good case
Overall this is a pretty good case. It holds up to the conditions and wont dent unless you take an icepick to it. The only drawbacks i found with it were that it didn't open very far, it was difficult to get the cds out of the pages without scratching them, and that it doesnt hold very many cds.

Before you buy this case i would suggest that you think about how many cds you really want to be able to take with you. Other than that it is a great buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars cheep armor for costly disks
I use this to carry playstation games when we travel. The playstation is indispensible for long minivan trips with kids. PS games generally cost much more than CDs and cannot be copied to a backup with a CD-burner. This little case has taken several dents, been stomped by toddlers and rambunctious kids, and gotten knocked around with luggage in the back of the van. It still works just fine and the disks inside are pristine.

Cosmetically not the coolest disk case, but functionally a wise investment for travel.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not ergonomic
I just bought this thing at a computer store because I was looking for a cool CD holder for my car, and I was tired of looking, so I settled for this. I love the idea that the sleeves are removable. I only put one CD in each sleeve and a page of songs on the back, so I can add more sleeves to hold closer to the maximum of 22 CD's. The finish is less that I had hoped for... it is painted silver, not aluminum. The case opens up to about 87 degrees, contrary to what one reviewer said. The only major gripe I have with it is that the CD's sit so low in the case (especially the latter ones in the case) that you have to lift the CD sleeve with one hand and remove the CD with the other so you don't scratch your CD by pulling it across the edge of the case. The bubble sleeves look like they will never scratch the CD's. Overall very handy for my needs. I am going to buy the oak home CD holder so I can store all my CD's at home, and cycle CD's in and out of my car holder when I feel like it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very solid case
I have used the CaseLogic zipper cases for years and when I was given one of these as a gift I was really surprised at how solid it was. You don't have to worry about your CDs getting crushed in this case.

The CDs are stored in individual plastic sleeves that are easily removable from the case. I was worried about possible scratching with these sleeves but haven't had any problems.

If there is one downside it is that the case doesn't open much past 45 degrees, which can make it difficult to flip through your CDs while you are driving.

Overall I really like the steel case since I can toss it around my car and keep it in my backpack without worry about damaging my CDs. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Aluminum Roladisc - simple, elegant and wellmade
I recently saw this product described in a weekly newspaper magazine, and it looked like it might be the solution to my CD storage problem. However, I was wary of the "bubble sleeve", thinking it might be insufficient protection. I ordered it online (not from Amazon - sorry guys ! you did not have it listed at the time) from another e-tailer, since the mfg (cdProjects) does not sell direct. I am pleased to say that this is one of the few items relating to computers that has not been over-hyped like many so-called "necessities". My jewel cases have been donated to friends and my Roladisc contains every computer software CD I own, as well as some music to listen to while computing. The bubble pockets are sturdy, have sleeves on front and back ( cd and booklet, or 2 cd storage.), and can be removed and replaced easily. My rolodex is essential to my work; my ROLADISC has become essential to my computing. In my opinion, it is great! ... Read more
