Good product but needs belt clip
This is my third MP3 player and it's by far the easiest to load. Didn't even need the install disk. Just plugged it into the USB port on my win2000 laptop and it showed up as a hard drive (E: drive on my system). Then I just dragged songs to it from Windows Explorer. It's loud, light and the battery lasts well.

My only complaint is the lack of belt clip. There's a cheesy strap that you can use to hang it around your neck, but that is not practical when running or working out. A simple belt clip would make this the perfect player.

Nice product but not reliable
Last February I bought a PoGo AudioRave because I found very convenient the idea of having an MP3 player and a USB Flash Memory in such a small package.

For two months I was very happy with it because the sound quality was very good, the unit was light and easy to operate and the process of downloading music was very simple (..just drag and drop the files from any computer since the unit shows itself as an external USB storage..).

All my happiness is over. Two weeks ago the volume control stopped working and I ended up with an MP3 Player where I can not hear anything since the volume level was very low when the problem happened.

The bottom line is that today I only have a fancy USB Flash Memory that works quite well. That's half the product I originally bought and that's the reason I give it 2 stars.

GREAT DESIGN and PRICE
This pogo is a great device. It will become the design standard for the wma player. No software needed, reads as the e-drive, use your windows media player to load songs. Hold 60 songs in wma format at 64k per song. Sounds great. What more can you ask for 80 bucks. Has ubs plug built right in, no cord necessary. Bonus can hold other types of files. Uses battery up after about 5-6 hours play time. Great player. Anyone who says this player sucks mostly likely works for the competition or apple. Why pay 300-400 bucks for a player when you get this for 80. Only con it takes about 10 min to load 60 songs.

It's Pretty Cool!
I won this little MP3 player in a prize drawing held on my campus, and I must say it's pretty cool. Its size is impressive (much smaller than I had thought) and it has a decent amount of storage space (128mb). The sound quality is really good, and downloading files couldn't be any easier. I especially like the idea that I can plug the unit directly into the USB drive of a computer, rather than having to carry a cord around with me every time I want to download a file. Additionally, you can download data files onto the player as well, which I really think is cool. I'm a college student, and I find myself always needing to save a paper or some type of assignment on disk, but never seem to have a disk. Now, I can save it directly onto the MP3 player, and it works just the same. In fact, if the memory is clear you can save about 3 floppy disks worth of stuff on the player. RIPFLASH PRO 256M AWESOME!
I've read a number of reviews while checking out the spec's on this device. It seemed that their were more negative reviews of this device than not. Well, I am here to tell you that you are ALL WRONG. After 3 days of use and dissecting the "reading glasses" manual (Are all Koreans more myoptic than westerners?).
I assimilated the device protocol and it kicked my ASS! Yes! The internal amplifier could be a bit more powerful and their could be a bit more memory. But, this device is one of the most intuitive and comprehensive designs I've seen.
NO MOVING PARTS IS A VIRTUE!
The sound quality really took me and my bros for a LOOP. But, forget about the audio playback capabilities of the device...IT RECORDS!!!!!!

I made tests of the line in from other portabe MP3 players and their was not diffence in quality from it's original to clone.
The size of RIPFLASH is 1/3 the depth of a pack of cigarettes and if that wasn't all...It's got a god damm digital FM radio tuner in which you can directly record broadcasts internally. I love this feature. Dication is a breeze with over 20 hours at 32k with the internal microphone. All in All, a great music/sound machine BAR-NONE! I don't know what all the bad reviews are about the operation of this device...Did you graduate HIGH SCHOOL GUYS? Get off your Playstation and learn the real world.

Lots of features in a tiny package
I use this tiny mp3 player/recorder primarily as a voice recorder, and it is excellent in that capacity.

I can find no fault with the player/recorder's basic functions -- the built-in microphone is very good, you can select the sampling speed up to 112kbps (music is sampled higher)...even at this high-quality rate, the device will record for hours...a 90-minute lecture doesn't even use a third of the space. FM reception is clear, the player scans and stores available stations so you can find them easily, and allows you to record FM with one touch. The ability to charge the battery via USB is convenient, and I haven't challenged the battery life yet.

Although recharging via USB is convenient for routine office use, it's not so convenient for travelling. Although a travel charger is offered separately, that's not always the best option when you're constantly on the road. A better setup for some of us is the ability to carry a spare fresh battery -- alas, the battery on this device is internal and cannot be swapped out by the user.

The controls could stand a little improvement; first, the names of all the controls are on the back of the device; so you have to choose between looking at the LCD display (front) or the names of the buttons (back). If you use the device enough to memorize all the functions, this would get less annoying.

Also on the subject of controls, the rewind/fast-forward switch has four positions: up, down, in (short) and in (long). I find this switch much less convenient than a freely rotating wheel like that in the center of a mouse or on the corner of my Panasonic voice recorder. Also, there would have been room to put the volume control at the top of the recorder, where you could reach it even when in a pouch, pocket, or case; it is on the side of the device. In general, as with many miniaturized devices, some buttons do double and triple duty; this can make the device less intuitive, but it's the price you pay for such a tiny package.

Some of these small players are criticized for not driving headphones at a loud volume. I find this player's volume very satisfactory; if you listen in environments with lots of ambient noise, you may wish to invest in headphones that block out that noise, rather than increasing the volume of earbud headphones. In an arms race between ambient noise and loud music, your hearing will lose in the long run.

simply wow
I ordered this on Thursday March 25 at 1:00 AM on Amazon with the free shipping and I got it on Friday March 26th at 1:30 PM. That's 36 hours! Amazon estimated that it will ship on April 1st and I'd get it on April 9th.

This thing rocks. How can something so small pack so much stuff in it? If I had a complaint it would be that it can do way too many things for me to use! I bought it to record the Howard Stern show and listen to it at night so I can get motivated and exercise (ya, right). At 32 bps, which is enough to hear a talk show, it can record almost 20 hours. Now that's awesome.

It is plenty loud and holds enough songs (almost 80 at 128 bps)to satisfy my needs. I know these new ipods can store a gazillion songs on them but I don't need all my songs with me. I just need a few. It costs less than half of the iPOD and it's way smaller than it. It has no moving parts. WOW!

Where can you get the travel charger the manual mentions?

Difficult to locate technical specs for this item
For some reason, the PDF of this product's manual is over 20 megabytes. And once you have downloaded it, Acrobat 5 reader says the file is damaged and unreadable.

Other PoGo products have manuals which are approx. 2 meg; I don't understand why this one is so large. I am trying simply to locate the precise information about the different recording qualities offered by this device, not as vague "good" or "high quality" but as a number of kbps at different settings. So far, I have not been able to locate this information.

No major troubles
The controls take a lot of getting used to -- they are very, very tricky to operate. But, the unit works. The software installed without a hitch on Windows 2000. The FM radio has very limited reception. I can pickup the major radio stations in Manhattan, but once in New Jersey, they are very staticky. The built-in microphone worked surprisingly well and I was genuinely impressed with the conversations I recorded. The built-in speaker is quiet, but clear. No Muss, No Fuss
Plugged this into my Toshiba 1415 running Windows XP and, voila!, I have three high speed USB ports. It is made well--as solid as can be expected for a PCMCIA device. No issues, no problems.

Tech Spec caution
The tech specs were not listed by Amazon. This card turns out to be a 32-bit pcmcia and will not fit a Toshiba Satellite pro 430 CDT with 16-bit slots (Type I, II, III). Also, turns out a 32-bit USB card won't work with 16-bits, according to StarTech.

Otherwise, would have been a good value.

Great buy!
I've been using this card for 2 months with no problems so far. I'm giving it 4 stars because it's too early for me to vouch for longevity, and because it seems to be built a bit cheaply. However, the price was cheap when compared to similar products, so guess I can't really complain.

good card
This was the card I picked up when I received 25$ for signing up with Amazon Visa. So it was damn cheap to me. This card works great for my Toshiba 1905-s301 laptop, never had a single problem with Windows XP SP1. The best thing is this card is one of the very few PCMCIA based USB 2.0 card which offers three USB ports, wow!
