5-0 out of 5 stars No problems
Great, right out the box. Very easy to figure out and printing within minutes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great
I spent lots of time with old ethernet/parallel print servers that wouldn't quite work with GDI and other low cost printers.
I was skeptical that this would work.

I was impressed that this print server worked with an easy 5 minute guided setup on my Minolta 1250W GDI printer.
The range of the wireless (Im using B, not G) is fine (covers whole floor of large home).

This device is an excellent solution for putting 2 USB printers anywhere you want them without dealing with the 16ft limitation of USB, or having to run any ethernet or parallel wires.

(I don't have to cut and run any wires in my new home). Plus
you get added bonus of having a normal cheap ($100~) printer
become a networked printer for all to share. (and you don't
have to have the original host computer on to print, as you
would with USB.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Great wireless print server, but....
I had this working perfectly right out of the box using a Microsoft MN-500 802.11b wireless router. Wireless printing is the cat's meow by the way. (The printer can then be put away in a cabinet for example, which really makes the house/apartment look less like an office.)

Then I took it to another house which had a D-Link 524+ 802.11b/g wireless router, and it simply would not recongnize the Belkin at all. This is obviously a D-Link issue, but can anyone tell me how to determine which wireless products will work with other wireless products BEFORE buying them?

The Belkin unit is very nice though, and recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible Wireless Print Server!
After being frustrated beyond belief with D-Link's wireless print server, I finally sent it back and just by chance happened to see Belkin's new offering, the F1UP0001 wireless print server. Without a doubt, Belkin has managed to hit a home run with this item. I was literally up and running in ten minutes. It can't get any easier. Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS NOW! Avoid the D-Link like the plague, and just go for the Belkin. It's easy to setup, 54mb instead of 11, and has two ports instead of D-Link's one. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars More like a child's toy.
I guess I shouldn't be complaining about it since I got mine as a gift, but I figured I share my opinion so others won't make this mistake.
First things firs when my set finally arrived and I opened the carrying case every single tool just fell out (non of them were strapped in place), after getting it all together I realized that two parts were missing (pen knife and Phillips screwdriver). Since It was a gift I can't really return it so I kept an incomplete set.
After looking threw all the tools I realized that all of them were rather poorly made and very low quality (no offense but when I hold a tool in my hand I want it to feel like a tool not a plastic toy), not to mention that the whole thing looks like it's been used. I really had a nice laugh about a little flash lite that comes with it, it's so cheep it doesn't even have an On/Off button you have to loosen the top portion so that the battery doesn't touch the bulb to turn it off. The soldering iron burned out after first use, so I had to replace it right away.
A couple of pieces were really unnecessary. The Cotton Swabs are good I guess if you get an itch in your ear while working. Same thing with the cleaning wipes, you can use them if you wonna take a lunch brake from work and wipe off your hands. The wire stripers I replaced right away, you actually need a screw driver to set it to different cable sizes (since it's almost impossible to set them to the right size you always end up cutting the wire or not being able to strip it).
Finally the Vinyl Carrying Case is Big and Bulky (like one of them all in one encyclopedias), I really think they could of remove some of them unnecessary stuff and make the case more portable. Did I mention that the batteries were also missing?
In conclusion if you're even thinking about buying this product GO TO THE STORE AND TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT IT, MAKE SURE ALL THE STUFF IS IN THERE. The picture above is way too small to see how it all looks like, so if you buy this online be ready to be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tool kit ever owned by a computer tech
This has been the best tool kit I've used in 5 years of fixing computers. The only bad thing I can say about it is the flashlight is really cheap and broke within a few days. A Mini-Mag fit in the same spot and that is the ONLY item that is not original in 3 years of use (aside from consumables like the cotton swabs and cleaning wipes). The rest of the tools are good quality and are all usable. The ratching screwdriver has seen 3 years of hard use and is still going strong, and let me tell you that I certainly haven't been using this kit to just fix computers. I recently had to give the kit back to my work (changed jobs) and I can tell you that this is DEFINATELY on the top of my wish list. This is the deluxe kit that has near everything: Allen wrenches, ratchet screwdriver, parts retriever, anti-static wrist bands, anti-static cleaning wipes, cotton swabs, flashlight, IC extractor, mini vacuum cleaner, long nose pliers, pen knife, tweezers, mini screwdriver set, soldering iron w/solder and wick, canned air, wire cutter, wire stripper, even a small bits organizer with useful items like jumpers, and all the bits you could need - standard, phillips, torx, square, and sockets in both standard and metric. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Buy a Belkin, Go Insane
The power and sleep buttons are the same size and height regular keys which make them easy to bump when using navigation keys or number pad. Almost all Belkin keyboards are like this. I'd bump them even when reaching for something on my desk and I'd lose hours of stupidly unsaved work. Waiting for your computer to start up again isn't fun either. Other times I'd bump the sleep button, which was less disastrous, but just as infuriating. Adding insult to injury, the power button would not turn the computer back on or wake it. I finally ended up taking a hammer to it. Funny, now that it's in a thousand peices, it still works as well as when I first got it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Does not curve upwards like MS Natural Keyboard
I looked at this keyboard in a store and discoverd that while it is called "ergonomic", it is flat. It doesn't curve up in the middle like ergonomic keyboards from Microsoft and Logitech. You can't tell this from the pictures on Amazon. However, the Belkin Ergoboard Pro does curve, but as I write this it is not for sale on Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
Although, being honest, I should admit that it's my first ergonomic keyboard, but I had a chance to use all kinds of other regular keyboards for more that 14 years of my computer-related experience. You must know that this keyboard appears to be highly reliable (so far), it's not light, it does have a very convenient key layout and a good key action. It's not noisy, not too easy or too hard to press. And yes, it does look cool. I never had an ergo keyboard before, because I don't believe in low-quality and overpriced MS products. Also, Logitech keyboards and too expensive and I never liked black keybaords, which Logitech somehow prefers to offer.
Belkin products usually offer a great value and reasonable quality (often their quality is higher-than-average), and this keyboard is no exception. It comes with a PS/2 to AT adapter ($5-8 value), which is necessary for users of older desktop systems or for those who use older types of keyboard extension cables.
Everyone in my household now wants one like mine, so I will probably order three more ErgoBoards. Also the Pro version should be considered by those who want a USB hub.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good Keyboard
I would rate this keyboard 5 stars if it doesn't came with the annoying power key (on the top right hand side). Other than this, everything else is pretty good. The keys of this board are very crisp, not sticky like many other cheap ones I tried. The arm rest is also comfortable.
I have used many ergo designed keyboards before, such as Keyboards from Microsoft, Lite-on, Micro Innovations, Logitech, ...etc. But out of all them, I like this Belkin one the most due to its performance and price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard
I have this keyboard in black at the office and in white at home. It's comfortable and the 6 key is in the proper place. Don't presume that because it's a cheap price that it is not worth it. It's a great keyboard and I would buy it again. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Choice
IT's not USB 2.0, with the same amount of money you can buy a USB 2.0 Hub that will work better.

Not Recomended.

1-0 out of 5 stars A world of trouble
Don't buy this! I used this on a Mac. It worked OK when I just had a couple of devices on it, but when I added a Wi-Fi USB adapter, it caused frequent computer crashes on startup, loss of Internet connection, and freezing of my mouse. I thought it was the adapter's fault, but after reading the reviews here, I bought a D-Link USB hub to replace it. Haven't had a problem since!

1-0 out of 5 stars Worked fine, then died
This hub worked fine for over a year, and then stopped working completely (lights don't go on).

1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid like the plague (or suffer a heartbreak)
I've had this hub for a while and it worked fine (even though the AC adapter was a little bit clunky). But recently I tried attaching an 802.11b receiver via the USB and the thing wouldn't work after 3 days of use - Windows reported it being an Unknown Device. Plugging into the back of my computer would still report the same problem - I figured the wireless adapter was faulty. But then...

The other day I plugged a trusty Sidewinder into the hub to play some old games. Tonight the same thing happened - Windows now refuses to recognize the gamepad I've used faithfully for years now. I am convinced this hub is the culprit. Spend a little more money to buy a hub whose quality you can really depend on!

Perhaps this was purely my own experience with a faulty hub, but I'd strongly recommend you consider another product - you may be putting your expensive electronics at unnecessary risk.

1-0 out of 5 stars Intermittantly works
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time, I have to cycle around through the ports, and then if I'm lucky it will recognize the device. Sometimes it even "drops out" part way through a transmission. Very frustrating. Belkin used to have a good reputation. I guess they can make more money selling junk nowadays. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Problems with modern mice
I have this device and a 2-port Linksys. Frequently with this one, I get a delay in or totally lose my mouse control when switching between computers. I'm using a MS optical mouse that is natively USB, with a USB-to-PS2 converter attached that could be a problem. Just a warning to those with similar configurations that they may get similar results. The Linksys KVM has no problems with my setup.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works Sometimes
This KVM is very affordable and works great, most of the time. However, if you use a Logitech Mouse, do NOT buy this KVM. Your mouse will seriously mess up. This KVM is designed for use with Microsoft mice. I would frequently switch between Windows and Linux and this would confuse it greatly. Windows would forget what my keyboard repeat rates were and the mouse would move erratically for the first few seconds. Linux was even funnier and would frequently refuse to work until I restarted X-Windows using Ctrl-Alt-Backspace as trying to move the mouse at all would result in a plethora of random movements and mouse clicks. Of course, restarting X-Windows caused me to lose everything I had open. So if you have an Intellimouse, this should be fine, but if you use anything else, go with something else. Linksys, for instance, works great with Logitech.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good KVM for a Good Price
I have been using this KVM switch every day for a month. I use it for constant switching between two PCs.So far, I have never been "locked out" of my PC after switching channels like I have been with other KVM switches. There are two ways to switch: the scan button on the top which moves left-to-right between ports (which will stop on all ports even if there is no signal), or you can press Scroll Lock twice on the keyboard followed by the up and down arrow. The second method provides fast switching between two PCs on adjacent ports and avoids empty port scans.

One neat feature is that if all ports have no signal, and you turn on a PC, the switch will select the active port. Other switches will always select port 1 at power up, but this auto-port-select saves time by selecting the active port.

One drawback I can think of is that the unit emits an audible "chirp" sound when you first turn it on, and when you switch ports. I haven't found a way to turn it off. Also, there is no way to switch more than 1 port at a time. For example, you can not switch from port 1 to port 3 without switching to port 2 first (or port 4 if you go the other direction via the keyboard).

This unit does not come with an AC power adapter. The unit is powered by the PS/2 connection to the PC.Thus, if you use this switch for monitors only (no keyboards or mice) then you will need to buy the AC adapter in addition to the switch.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it
After returning my first one after 6 months (the #3 port just stopped working) My second unit quit on me the other night (all ports stopped working). These things are not reliable. I bought an IO Gear, and it works GREAT.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BELKIN.

2-0 out of 5 stars Standard KVM Cables Do Not Fit It
I purchased this unit to replace one that my customer was using, only to find that I had to buy Belkin cables because standard KVM cable sets do NOT work with this switch. I am awaiting the cables and then I will rate the product function. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Ctrl, Promising Software (doesn't work always)
Nice controller, comfortable, Plug n play. No problems, if the game detects the buttons, but had problem with quake 3, with the controller activated, the whole screen started going round and round (spinning). MDK 2 worked great though with analog controls. The analog controls work fine in Unreal tournament as well.

The software is promising but could not get much out of it. The best use is to use it as plug and play and enjoy the games it supports.

1-0 out of 5 stars Same problem as others with gamepad
The D-PAD (the directional pad) needs to be calibrated constantly just to keep working. I was using it for about an hour for a game after I bought it, then the next day I went to use it and when playing a game it was pulling to the right constantly, so I had to recalibrate it. On the calibration screen in windows, you can see the little calibration cursor vibrating almost and on another calibration screen it literally jumps around. It never returns to 'center' when you move it, it's always off-center, even after calibration.
There is definately something wrong with the analog DPAD they use in this Gravis Eliminator gamepad - go buy something else instead and STAY AWAY from this gamepad. This is the same problem a lot of other people are complaining about it, and they haven't fixed it (and probably wont). I bought this gamepad around April 15, 2004 brand new.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst gamepad controller I ever bought
The position of the analog controls are awkward and the buttons are all different than any other controller of it's type. I tried reprogramming and that didn't help. Could not use it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice gamepad but query for Robert P. Kohr Jr
This is a nice gamepad but I can't figure out how Robert P. Kohr Jr. was able to map the mouse (analog) movement to the gamepad on a Mac. Robert, if you see this, please let me know at albertf at comcast.net ---- substitute "@" for " at " in email address. Thanks! Albertf
