1-0 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For
This phone died on us after one year. Prior to then there were some issues with it. There were interferences with other calls. The system and handsets were made of plastic and it felt like cheap plastic.<br /> <br /> The volume wasn't as high as we hoped it could be. The buttons were small and flimsy. The screen isn't very good.<br /> <br /> You get what you pay for. But honestly I think there are similar models that could perform much better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent system!
I've owned this answering system now for two or three months and it is excellent. I bought it to replace a system that was much more expensive and of poor quality. I have no problem with reception throughout my house and property (which was a problem with the past system) and the sound is crisp and clear. I highly recommend this phone.

1-0 out of 5 stars CAUTION!!
DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM!!! I have had this system for only about 9 months, and it is garbage!! The sound quality is poor and the buttons are now next to impossible to push! They worked O.K. originally, but NOW you have to push them REALLY hard to get them to register the number, but then sometimes it will dial the number twice! It is so frustrating! Don't be fooled by the AT&T name...this is NOT a good phone!

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled... It's a good phone system
I was looking to get rid of my multiple phone systems and replace it with one system with multiple handsets. I've owned AT&T telephones for the better part of twelve years and find them to be well built dependable phones, this model has proven to be no different. I looked at the Uniden systems that have slightly better ratings but am hesitant of thier dependability. V-tech phones had me curious but I just can't get the image of my children's toys out of my mind when looking at those phones. I have no buzzing and no clicking with this phone. The sound is very crisp and clear. I started to use caller id and my only issue may be the lcd display. It could be sharper but this minor detail isn't enough to make me return the phones. For the price, this is a good choice for a mult-handset phone system. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this headset
This headset is terrible. The microphone portion constantly falls off of the earclip. The earclip is very uncomfortable on your ear. The microphone is so bad that no one can hear what you say. After trying to use this on a very important 6 hour teleconference, I ended up throwing it in the trash and just holding the phone to my ear. Don't buy this product. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

The 1445 from AT&T is a 2.4 GHz cordless phone with a built-in speakerphone and a number of useful features, including caller ID/call waiting compatibility and an integrated phone directory. It has a 90-number caller ID memory, letting you see a list of all recent calls, while a caller ID memory match function allows you to assign personalized ringers to a caller ID entry, giving you an auditory indication of who is calling. A visual message waiting indicator alerts you to new voicemail messages, while the 50-number phone directory and nine one-touch memory buttons let you keep track of, and easily dial, your most frequently used phone numbers.

The handset speakerphone and headset compatibility provide hands-free communication options, while an illuminated keypad makes dialing in poorly lit environments a snap. A handset control allows you to adjust volume levels to your liking, and a page button makes finding a misplaced handset quick and easy. A redial button allows you to quickly dial the last outgoing number, and the flash button give you access to call waiting. The 1445 also comes backed by a one-year warranty. (Caller ID, call waiting, and voicemail are fee based services available through your phone company.)

Amazon.com Product Description

The AT&T 2455 can help you simplify and take control of your telephone life. Identify callers with the large, easy-to-read caller ID display and then decide whether to interrupt your work to answer an incoming call. If you're away, the 50-number caller ID history saves your calls for convenient callback.

At home or in a business you can take advantage of the intercom capability between handset and base, plus the hands-free feature in both handset and base. The 2455 is compatible for headset use for a completely hands-free conversation, giving you the liberty to multitask from further afield. AT&T's digital sound quality and operation on the 2.4 GHz band ensure clearer connections with less interference than older-model cordless phones. Frequency hopping and digital spread spectrum technology further improve sound quality and help provide security against eavesdropping.

The integrated answering system with 15 minutes of digital recording time displays the name and number of the caller and how many messages you have received. The unit is expandable to incorporate up to four handsets and bases. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars AT&T 2455... Nice idea... Poor product
I like everything about the AT&T 2455 except for the way it sounds during a phone conversation. Unfortunately for AT&T, that's kind of a major function of the phone. This phone suffers from background static that ranges somewhere between a nuisance and downright annoying. The background static occurs all the time, even if you're right next to the base. In addition, it doesn't sound "natural" when you're speaking to someone on this phone. I can tell that I'm on a cordless phone when I use it. On the other hand, when I use my old 900 mhz DSS phone it sounds like a corded phone. The AT&T 2455 does not sound like a corded phone.

I could tell you about some of the other really cool features of this phone, but why bother? The main feature that you'll want to use is talking to other people on it, and it doesn't do that very well. It's really a shame, because if AT&T could improve the sound quality this would be a five star phone. ...

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice little phone
I've had this phone for a few years now, I bought it shortly after the model was released. It's a nice phone with clear sound, and I never noticed any hiss that others described.

It was important to me to have an extra charge spot for the spare battery which this unit does have.

Range on the phone is outstanding. When I first got the phone, I took it outside and walked about a block from my house before it started to cut out.

My only problem is that now after several years of use, the batteries are not holding a charge very well at all. One battery is practically dead and will not charge at all.

Now my only question is do I search around for replacement batteries, or upgrade to a 5.8 GHz model.

2-0 out of 5 stars Hiss? You'll find a pattern.
I have a problem with constant hiss as well, but on my HS-8270. I'm in the market for a new 2.4 GHz phone with speaker, CID/CWID, and an answering machine. I was down to this one and the Vtech 2461. I've given up on finding a good one with a base keypad (forget the Panasonic or the Uniden!).
Looks like this background hiss may be pervasive in AT&T's line. Looks like I'm going Vtech.

4-0 out of 5 stars works well for us
We have had good reception with it. The sound quality is fine and the answering machine works well. I purchased after my panasonic 2.4 gig decided that all my calls were out of range even when I was standing 1' from the base a short 12 mo. after buying it. The at&t has been more reliable. ...
