Amazon.com Product Description

The E252 is a 2.4 GHz accessory handset designed for use with AT&T's E2562 phone system (required, sold separately). The E252 has a number of useful features, including support for two-line operation and caller ID/call waiting compatibility. When registered to the E2562 base, the E252 handset provides both intercom and conferencing features, letting you communicate with other phones on the system as well as multiple parties at once. A 50-number caller ID memory provides a list of recent incoming calls, while a 50-number phone directory helps you keep track of important numbers. The E2562 phone system supports a total of eight handsets, so you can place extra extensions wherever you need them. Answering machine access from the handset allows you to check messages without having to be near the base.

Additional features include adjustable volume, a new-call indicator, and an illuminated keypad that makes dialing a snap, even in poorly lit environments. A handset speakerphone is provided, as well as headset compatibility, for hands-free communication. The redial feature allows you easily dial any of the last five outgoing numbers, and a low-battery indicator lets you know when to return the handset to its cradle for recharging. Amazon.com Product Description

AT&T CallVantagesm Service from AT&T is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone service that utilizes the latest in Internet technology to deliver features that are beyond the means of traditional phone companies. With VoIP, calls are transmitted over the Internet, allowing you to communicate nationwide for a single monthly fee. You pay additional charges only for international calls, which are billed at competitive prices. (AT&T CallVantage Service treats calls to Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada as domestic calls.) Plus, AT&T's Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) provides high voice quality.

AT&T CallVantage Service offers easy 1-2-3 hardware setup:
1. Plug phone cord and computer cable into adapter.
2. Plug adapter into broadband modem.
3. Log onto Personal Call Manager and open your account.

AT&T CallVantage Service is easy to set up. To establish an account, just follow the instructions on the welcome letter, included in the box. Setting up the hardware is also very simple: just plug the telephone adapter into your existing phone and plug the other end into your cable or DSL modem. All DSL and cable modems with an Ethernet port and at least 90 Kbps upstream and downstream speed are supported, as well as both Windows computers and Macs.

In addition to the standard features you expect from your traditional phone company, like caller ID, call waiting, three-way calling, and call forwarding, AT&T CallVantage Service provides a number of features made possible only by use of Internet Protocol technology. You can have voice mail forwarded to your e-mail inbox as an attachment, and then forward that attachment to relevant third parties. You can take your home area code with you when you travel, so your family or work can reach you without paying long-distance rates. And, with an elaborate variation of call forwarding known as "Locate Me," you can maintain a list of places you'll be visiting; when you're out, AT&T CallVantage Service will ring them in sequence (or all at once) until it finds you.

Accessible either by phone or the Internet, the Phone Feature Manager provides access to a phone directory that can store up to 250 numbers, to call logs (incoming and outgoing for the last 60 days), and to many of your other phone settings. A reverse lookup feature lets you access the name and address information of an incoming caller, while the add-to-Phone Book feature lets you move any number from your call log to your Phone Book with the touch of a single button. A display-and-dial feature lets you easily call any number displayed in either your call log or Phone Book, and you can set up to nine speed dial entries. Taken together, that's a lot for a phone service to do. With all the features that AT&T's CallVantage Service makes possible, you can simplify and organize your communications like never before.

What's in the Box
A telephone adapter for use with AT&T CallVantage Service, a 12-volt, 1-amp DC power adapter, a telephone line cord, an Ethernet cable, manuals, and service and promotional information

Amazon.com Review

An excellent choice for a small-office environment, AT&T's 954 four-lineintercom speakerphone offers a wealth of features to handle a variety of needsfor both individual and group use. This corded unit handles up to four separatelines and includes a "convenience port," into which you can connect a faxmachine or modem.

Whenever a line is in use, the line-in-use indicator lights up on the otherphones. An automatic call privacy feature allows only one 954 phone at a time touse a line. Users can cancel call privacy to allow others to join in on thecall, obviating the need to employ the conference feature for participantswithin the same office. Call privacy is restored when you end the call.

The 954 provides all the options you'd expect to find in an office phone. Theintercom allows you to call another 954 phone in your office without using anoutside line. Intercom operations feature both single-phone and system-widepaging. The All Page/Dial button allows you to announce a message over all fourlines and to any phone within the network.

The hands-free speakerphone mode is excellent. Callers on the other end of ourconversation experienced minimal echo and distortion, which are problemscommonly associated with speakerphone calls.

The 954 also includes a 36-number dialing memory, and an LCD display shows thedate, time, number dialed, and duration of call. A nifty feature lets youprogram pauses into numbers entered into memory. This is especially handy forbusiness lines that require you to dial 9 to obtain an outside line. We foundall the programming and setup options easy to implement, though you'll want toconsult the manual for all the intercom operations.

If you're looking for a phone to handle multiple lines and basic conferencingtasks, AT&T's 954 four-line intercom speakerphone will provide everything youneed. --John Frederick Moore

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Home Office Phone
This phone is working very well as my home office phone, and it is getting a lot of use. After trying a really cheap phone and being unhappy with it, I spent a little more for this and have been very pleased.
- It has more space than I'll ever need for programmable numbers (32) (though the sequence needed to record a new number is not particularly intuitive/memorable).
- It saves programmed numbers when the power goes off. (It saved all my numbers for several days during a move.)
- It has an Auto Redial button, also a nice timesaver.
- The Mute button works well.
- It has Speaker, Handset & Headset options, which you can switch between at any time.
- It allows you to adjust the volume of what you are listening to (with enough range to work well for me).
- Handset has a nice heft, fits the ear reasonably well, and decent sound.
- Keyboard feels reasonably nice and has stood up to a year of use. .
- Speakerphone has good pickup from two feet away.

I have found only a few disadvantages. The phone beeps when you switch modes (to speaker, for example) and when you adjust the volume. You need learn to use mute *beforehand* if you don't want to create a distraction during a conference call. Also, I have tried a couple of different headsets with this phone, and consistently hear that my volume is too low when I have set it as high as possible, which makes me wonder if there is a phone issue with that.

I don't use two lines, but it also has the capacity for two lines, with hold and conference buttons.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worthless phone!
Decent looking phone however the ringers are so whisper quiet---even on the HI setting---that you cannot hear the phone ring! I first bought this phone at Best Buy, returned it for this reason. A week later I found it a little cheaper at Staples so I thought I'd give it another shot in case the first one was defective. No dice---same inaudible rings. Definitely avoid this phone! ... Amazon.com Product Description

The AT&T 2325 single-line cordless phone offers versatile expandability. It can grow with your needs to include up to four handsets and three mailboxes, making it ideal for small offices and busy households.

2.4 GHz operation offers greater clarity and longer range than older phones operating on lower bands, and autoscan selects the available channel with the least interference, resulting in clearer conversations. Plus digital spread spectrum (DSS) technology spreads your digitized voice over a wider band, breaking the signal into pieces and sending different pieces on different frequencies. DSS results in clearer sound with less interference and more privacy than standard digital.

The fully-digital integrated answering system offers remote access and time/day stamping, with a visual message waiting indicator. Each handset operates as a full-duplex speakerphone, and the backlit three-line LCD lets you scroll and access any of 50 stored caller ID memory locations. The AT&T 2325 also features a belt-clip and head-set jack, plus a one-year warranty. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Problems with Sound Quality
I purchased this unit and had to return it due to problems with
the sound quality when playing back messages. The machine has some
very nice features, but if the messages are not clear, then the
unit is not reliable. I may miss some important information. I
even left messages, I knew what I said, but during playback, some
words were muffled and difficult to understand. I was surprised
that ATT put on the box, "Excellent Sound Quality". Its not.

4-0 out of 5 stars Its an answering machine..not an MP3 player!
I've had this unit for 5 months and have had no complaints. Its a good little basic machine that gives you your messages when you are away. The battery backup feature is great. This unit was one of the few machines that were working for me in the aftermath of Hurricane Isabel.

Yes, the sound quality is not top notch; but who needs concert clarity on an answering machine? I guess if your friends mumble...

I also like being able to set the rings at a reasonable 5 or 6 before the answering machine kicks in--plenty of time to race to the phone if you are anywhere in the vicinity. Color me satisfied.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this machine
Just adding my voice to the others here. I've had much the same problems:

- As others have already noted, the sound quality of the recording is terrible. I often have to replay a message 4 or 5 times to understand it.

- Just a few months after I bought it, when I picked up the receiver to answer a call, I sometimes had to jiggle the switch hook to get it to answer. Then it started cutting people off right in the middle of a conversation. Now it's so bad that when you pick it up you can jiggle all you want and it doesn't answer at all. I've given up using this piece of junk as a phone - I just use it as an answering machine.

- Now the last straw is that I can't retrieve my messages remotely. I dial my number, it answers on the 2nd ring like it's supposed to, I key in my code, and it just sits there and does nothing, and then hangs up! I've gone through the setup several times, and I'm sure it's set up correctly. But I can't retrieve my messages!

Don't waste your money on this piece of junk! If anyone knows of a better machine... please post it here.

2-0 out of 5 stars Negative Reviewers are Right
I bought this machine to replace my old cassette-based Panasonic that had finally died from incessant telemarketer calls.
The AT&T's set up was easy and all the features work, but the sound quality is unacceptably low. I hardly recognize my own voice on the recorded message, and callers sound as though they are speaking from under a blanket. Pity AT&T didn't consider improving the sound quality for a few dollars added to the price.

1-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable
We've had this phone for six months, it has acted strangely the whole time. Recently it started refusing to connect when the receiver is picked up, so you have to jiggle the button to get it to answer. I'm looking for a new phone now.... ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

AT&T's 915 is a corded telephone with easy-to-read extra large buttons to help you dial. An extra loud ringer helps you hear incoming calls no matter where you are in the house, while a visual ringing indicator and hearing aid compatibility makes this a good choice for the hard-of-hearing. Ten speed dial entries allow you to quickly dial the most frequently used numbers, while three one-touch memory buttons are provided for important numbers, such as emergency medical or fire assistance.

The illuminated keypad makes dialing in poorly lit environments a snap. (This feature requires four AA batteries, which are not included.) Handset volume controls let you adjust levels to your liking. A redial button lets you quickly dial the last outgoing number, and flash and pause buttons are also provided. The 6.8-by-8.5-inch footprint fits easily onto available countertop space, while wall-mounting capability lets you free up countertop space completely. A directory card on the phone helps you keep track of the various speed dial entries, and the 915 operates without the need for AC power. This phone is backed by a one-year limited warranty.
